Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

Had my booking in appointment on weds and already got my 1st scan appointment through!

Also got the letter to say I'm Reasus negative :( just my luck

Surprisedat42 · 01/07/2022 19:05

Hi all, I think I’m due around February 13th. LMP was May 9th. We weren’t trying and I’m 42 on Sunday so it was a huge surprise. I’m incredibly anxious as I am worried in case something goes wrong. I have three dc from 12-16 and DH has two who are here every other weekend, but this will be our first together.
The tests were pretty clear! I’ve taken a number of them just to be certain. One of them came up immediately before the control line even appeared. I’m hoping that’s a good sign - but not twins!

had my 'booking in' appointment today and get my yellow maternity folder! πŸ˜€starting to feel a little more real now

concerning that I found the blood draw a bit painful considering what's to come πŸ˜…

Hi @crazy4cats I had mine today too. But it's all on an app for me how strange!

BeeYellowMumma · 02/07/2022 08:37

Excited and nervous, 8w2d and having an early scan this afternoon. Fingers crossed everything is as it should be

RBSK1 · 02/07/2022 11:04

Anyone else hit that 8 week sickness peak?

4 times I've been sick this morning and I've had nothing on my stomach each time!
DH said i sound almost demonic!
I had consistent nausea with DD1 and I've had some serious bouts of nausea this time round but never sickness to this extent. Literally nothing is coming up and I cant eat or drink either

PeanutButterFalcon · 02/07/2022 12:54

@RBSK1 the sickness is hitting me hard too. Last time I had HG so I’m glad I’m not like that again but my goodness I’m struggling to drink anything

Ohh that's beautiful, so glad all went well. I've been tempted to book a scan to check all is ok after Covid , you have made me feel so much better by seeing this post

Thank you, I felt the same. We booked it in when I felt better from covid, all looked good today.

It was nice to see them on screen, if you can, maybe do book one? We have the 12w scan on 29th July I think so that doesn't feel like a lifetime as much now

FlyOnTheWall89 · 02/07/2022 18:15

I've had my early reassurance scan and all went perfectly. Baby had a nice strong heartbeat too. I was so anxious before it, but feel so much better about everything now. Hope this might help some others who are feeling nervous in the run up to their scan x

ER20 · 02/07/2022 20:24

9 weeks today, due early February and tested positive for covid yesterday… have a 1 year old too.

Hard to know what’s pregnancy tired, 1 year old child tired or covid tired.

How are those of you who have had covid? I let my midwife know and she said no concern really unless I’m breathless but so far so good, just like a mild cold.

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 03/07/2022 09:48

I had my booking in appointment last Tuesday and was told if I haven't received my scan appointment in 2 weeks to call to chase, but I'll be 11 weeks by then. I'm conscious I may miss the cut off for the additional testing

Peonies94 · 03/07/2022 11:40

@ER20 i felt quite rough with it, but had a scan after I had recovered and all was well so 🀞! Hope you feel better soon!!

So nice to hear positive scan stories Flowers

Blueskydreamer7 · 03/07/2022 15:26

@ER20 I'm on day 10 of testing covid positive. I think in the grand scheme of things I had a fairly mild dose, just a few aches, blowing hot and cold and I still can't shake the cough. But mixed with the morning sickness and nausea it was no fun at all! I definitely think it made the nausea much worse!

I took a week off work and took it easy. I have asthma too so very conscious of making it worse than it needed to be.

RBSK1 · 04/07/2022 06:00

So after a weekend of constant sickness, emergency doctor "diagnosing" dehydration, I've woken up this morning with cramps 😒. Called the early pregnancy unit at my local hospital and apparently they can't see me, I'd need to go through A&E.

I'm 8+4, has anyone been dehydrated in pregnancy and everything's been fine?! I'm not bleeding which the midwife on the phone said was a big positive but still, I'm on the verge of tears!

I am no expert, but dehydration can do all sorts of funny things to muscle and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was linked. Also you are nearly 9 weeks, your uterus is double the size it was, it might be to do with that as well.
i hope the scan reassures you. And that you can feel better soon ❀️

Cherrymarket · 04/07/2022 07:19

(And by linked I mean, will go away when you are hydrated again!)

BritInNZ · 04/07/2022 07:35

@RBSK1 I hope you get to the bottom of things and it turns out it's nothing to worry about!

I had my repeat blood test and everything progressing well. I had to do a urine test at the same time as part of standard testing and turns out I have bacteria in my urine and had to do a repeat test to check how bad it is before they decide if I need antibiotics. If left untreated it can cause bacterial vaginosis. So weird as I haven't had any UTI symptoms and feel fine! Apparently quite common with all the hormonal changes.

RBSK1 · 04/07/2022 11:09

Early pregnancy unit weren't interested. Got to love Stepping Hill πŸ™„ GP has prescribed anti-sickness tablets though so fingers crossed

Louisec128 · 04/07/2022 12:44

Hi everyone, hope it's ok for me to join the thread. I'm due the week on the 22nd February (or there abouts). Got my midwife apt on the 19th, just hope my scan won't be long after then as were away the last week in August. This will be my 2nd baby, born a month after my first's 3rd birthday. Taken til this weekend to actually believe I'm pregnant, not sure why, but the tiredness is off the scale!!!!

Robinsonh19 · 04/07/2022 14:39

Hi there,
I’m about 9 weeks with my first pregnancy. Just wanted to come say hi and, well, vent to be honest!
The nausea has just been horrendous. I’ve only been sick a handful of times, but I just feel awful everyday. I don’t feel like eating anything most of the time, but I get weak and hangry if I don’t eat so it’s a balancing act.
I’m trying to take each day as it comes but I’m exhausted and the thought of this carrying on for several more weeks makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry.
Also feeling the guilt about feeling miserable when I know I’ve got something amazing happening inside.

LiveLaughL0ve · 04/07/2022 15:59

@Robinsonh19 I can totally relate. You have nothing to feel guilty about. Just focus on doing whatever you can to get yourself through this tough period. People don’t talk enough about how hard the first trimester is, in my opinion, so we end up thinking it’s all roses and rainbows and it certainly isn’t! Vent on here as much as you need, and I hope it gets better for you soon.
