@arianasky if it takes over and u need to cry then do it and let it out I had too. Don't hold it in. Also I found telling the sonographer what had happened and to find the heartbeat straight away helped and I had the TV off until she found it as I didn't want to see anything first. Your strong u have got this 💞 xx

arianasky · 18/05/2022 12:33

@Skl2021 thank you 💕 isn't it awful what goes through our heads after suffering a loss/losses 😞

flowergarden16 · 18/05/2022 14:17

@arianasky was going to say the same thing, probs baby moving and lightening

I've decided to have a private scan every other week between now (13 weeks) and my 20 week scan. Can't handle the anxiety without a solid close date to look forward to

Hope you're all doing ok girls x

arianasky · 18/05/2022 14:49

@flowergarden16 yeah I guess that's what it is 😂 I don't blame you the reassurance really does help, I think I'll book one about 17 weeks so bang in between Fridays scan and my 20 week scan if all goes ok obviously 🤞🏻🙏🏻🌈

siobhanmt247 · 18/05/2022 17:20

Hi girls
Does anyone know if there are any stats out there that indicate how many people have more than 1 mmc in a row. The dataeyze thing helps and I won't of feel ok about how things are progressing but every time I get a little bit hopeful I remind myself it could be an mmc again as there's no way of knowing. I've been really anxious today as my boobs are less sore and appetite is returning. I'm just so scared of it being another mmc

flowergarden16 · 18/05/2022 17:33

Think it's the only way @arianasky x

Lizm1990 · 18/05/2022 17:51

@Skl2021 thankyou that’s helpful to know. Just need to relax in the next 6 weeks until the scan or whenever it is (hoping around 12 weeks) 🤞 I’m 5+6 today

@siobhanmt247 I’ve no idea but hoping its a much lower chance, I had a MMC first pregnancy so hoping this one sticks, how far are you?

sunnyd67 · 18/05/2022 18:10

I booked a private scan for when I am 17w2d as I cannot wait for 20 week scan without any reassurance. We were debating whether to have a gender scan. We have decided not to find out the gender this time. I'm not sure if we are going to change our minds, I really like the idea of finding out at birth.. seems exiting, but the OCD side of me keeps thinking about all the clothes that the baby needs. Is there anyone with any other children who didn't find out until birth? How was it?

I also think I felt something yesterday and today, but really unsure if it was the baby 🤯🤯

barneymcgroo · 18/05/2022 18:42

@sunnyd67 I have two boys - didn't find out with either. Was delighted with the surprise both times. Doing the same this time. Partly because in my area they won't tell you at the 20w scan (there are BIG signs up all over the waiting room) and I'm too cheap to pay for a private one, and partly because I like the surprise.

I have my 20w next Wednesday, can't wait to see it again. Have felt occasional movements - now starting to get something pretty much every day, which is reassuring.

Love finding out what everyone else is having though! 💗💙

siobhanmt247 · 18/05/2022 18:56

@Lizm1990 I'm 9w3d today. Last time I found out at 7 w that the baby stopped at around 5w but my body didn't realise until 9w. I've been getting lots of cramping and stretching today so hoping that's a good sign

sunnyd67 · 18/05/2022 19:05

@barneymcgroo I'm currently 16 weeks tomorrow, so I'm really not sure what I'm feeling, but they feel much more different to wind 😃😃 roll on 28th May for a scan so I can relax for a bit..

speake1 · 18/05/2022 19:10

@sunnyd67 im not finding out this time either, it’s definitely harder to be organised isn’t it 🙈 I’m just going to buy minimal neutral newborn sleep suits & do a big online shop once baby is here. Figure most places only take a couple of days to deliver anyway 😊

@flowergarden16 congratulations on your baby girl 💕

Tulip1112 · 18/05/2022 19:12

@siobhanmt247 I'm 9+1ish so we are really close on dates! I could have written your post, it's a horrible unknown feeling isn't it. Sending hugs x x

siobhanmt247 · 18/05/2022 19:30

@Tulip1112 we are so close to having a little bit of comfort fingers crossed x

Elspethelf · 18/05/2022 21:26

@Poppy9991 i googled Hcg levels per week and kept finding the same graphic that said 18 - 7300 is a normal range for 5 weeks. I do think it’s the increase in number that’s important but my Dr has just booked me in for a scan instead of another blood test

Poppy9991 · 18/05/2022 23:05

Thanks @Elspethelf I booked a private blood test as tried through my GP practice and they didn’t want to prescribe one (the excuse he gave me was “I would not be able to interpret it…” errr… that’s a bit worrying, I mean, it’s no rocket science, more or less doubling in 48h isn’t it? Anyway I thought he was really not being helpful despite 2 previous miscarriages, he wasn’t even keen to check iron levels or anything else… Oh well). I found a private practice that charges 50£ for HcG blood tests so I guess I’ll do that 72h appart, it’s worth it if it gives me peace of mind.

Elspethelf · 19/05/2022 04:14

@Poppy9991 thats awful, you should be getting better treatment than that.

speake1 · 19/05/2022 10:11

Morning ladies, hope everyone is good today! Question for those of you that already have toddler age ( 1 / 2 / 3 year old) little ones, are you planning to use a double pram / buggy once baby is here? My daughter (2 yo) isn’t much of a walker & will happily go in a buggy atm, thinking that’ll only intensify once babies here as can imagine she’ll want what the baby has… example from the other day that she went in a friends baby’s jumperoo 🙈

Just wondered what those of you with little ones are planning to do? We have a dog so will be walking 3 x a day, I know you get buggy boards but she’s very reluctant to go on her balance bike & scooter so not sure she would actually stand / sit on one of those. Any advice / recommendations welcome 😊 xxx

flowergarden16 · 19/05/2022 10:34

Hey @speake1 mine will be 3 when baby arrives but loves to run and walk! I'm considering a buggy board x

babyjellyfish · 19/05/2022 10:47

I have no idea what we will do. My son will only be 21 months when this baby is due. He's currently 13 months and not walking yet. We already have a big pushchair and a Yoyo, so I'm reluctant to get a double buggy on top of that really.

I think I will wear the baby in a sling for the first few months and keep my son in the Yoyo, and try and get him using a buggy board as soon as possible. He'll be in full time childcare during the day so it will only really be an issue at weekends.

Cruz86 · 19/05/2022 12:25

It's so frustrating isn't it @Skl2021, my energy has disappeared again 😩 I'm also starting to heave and feel nauseous again which is stressing me out. Ah yeah I'm kind of at that stage too, feel flutters one day and then nothing for a few days. So thankful I have my Doppler for now! Oh wow, why do you have so many appointments from then? Yes gender scan is on Saturday ahhh! Xx

Oh amazing @sunnyd67, you're a day ahead of me 🥰 I didn't find out with my son 4.5 years ago and it was such a special moment when he was born and we were told. I would've done it again but feel like I need to fully prepare him for the new arrival!

Aww little girl, congratulations @Prayingformyrainbow93! When in November are you due? 💗

@speake1 my son is older than your little one but he still goes in the pushchair when he can't be bothered to walk, his legs get tired quite quickly! But I am going to attempt a buggy board that's already attached to the pram, looking at an Ickle Bubba Eclipse. If I were you, I'd get a nice comfy carrier and have baby in that for the dog walks.

Xx

Hi ladies found out I’m pregnant two days ago. Complete shock as wasn trying. I had my loss in December at 7 weeks baby didn’t develop basically. Currently 4+2 or +3 different apps say different things. I’m so nervous this time but then I forget I’m pregnant 😂 hopefully happy healthy baby at the end of this

Skl2021 · 19/05/2022 14:00

@Cruz86 my nausea and heaving is also back I have also lost my appetite again. Never had this with my others at this point. Yes today I haven't felt anything again and there's always something in your head saying something is wrong 🤦 well my BMI is high so I am under consultant so I have appointments with her and midwife and Im having the gtt test and need regular blood pressure appointments as I struggled with it last pregnancy. Growth scans every 2 weeks as my last baby was small and apparently I need meetings with anaesthetists incase I need intervention this time and meeting with a pediatric team for a plan when baby is born. My last birth was traumatic and we nearly lost him. Spent a month in ICU 2 hours away from were we live so we don't want to go through that again. Everything is beginning to get so real when I was told all this and the fear has set in 😬🤦 .. and breathe 🙈 xx

Skl2021 · 19/05/2022 14:00

@Confusedmumof4maybe5 congrats and welcome to the group 🌈💞 x

speake1 · 19/05/2022 14:15

Thank you all for your responses, we’ve got the joolz aer buggy that I’m tempted to buy the bassinet for as it’s soooo much lighter than the silver cross wave we have left from our daughter - anyone whose planning to get that pram seriously try lifting it in & out the car first, it weighs something like 20kg!!! So might buy the buggy board for the joolz aer & see how she goes at the moment with the option to go on it, if she isn’t keen I’ll probably get a double.

Don’t think a carrier will work too well for me at least to begin with this time as we’re a planned c section & think the ergo one we have would sit write on scar 🤦🏻‍♀️

thanks ladies xxx
