Anyone here on aspirin? I've been taking it at lunch time but just read the NHS guide says best to take in the evening? Does this matter?

@Sassy144 I had similar around that time. Was quite a weird feeling. But all fine so far (am 20 weeks now) x

@Amphibian94 I do and I believe there is some evidence it works better at night so maybe just start doing that from now on x

I take aspirin aswell I've been taking it in the morning so I'm glad I've seen this I'll start taking in the evening from now on

@flowergarden16 that's good to know, thank you! I spoke to midwife as it's not letting up and she said if it doesn't go away soon it could be a UTI, so I'll speak to GP if I can just to check.

Just a quick little update. Had my 20w scan and everything was good. Biggest surprise was that it's a girl!! 💕 (we were told it was a boy at 13w and we even had a name lol)

Oh wow that is a shock haha @Arwen7 ! Was it a blood test or ultrasound that told you before? Everyone else will be worrying now in case there's is wrong haha

Thanks everyone! I know we were really surprised haha. It was a scan not a blood test (those are much more accurate) and as it was only 13w I knew the possibility of error was there. However it was a fetal medicine consultant who told us back then and he seemed so sure about it! Now I feel I need another scan to confirm as I'm confused but I know the 20w is much more accurate 😂

What's everyone's thoughts on aspirin? My consultation told me not to take it but I've heard so many people take it... I don't know what to do as this is my fourth pregnancy

@Arwen7 Congratulations, lovely news ❤️🙂 I was worried about this too, so I had another private scan today, just to check everything plus look at the gender since it was included, definitely a boy and very clear on the screen too. 😃 ❤️
My baby is measuring a week ahead and already 1lb5oz (603g), am I having a big baby? 😄😱 22w4d measuring 23w3d

It was truly a bit of a shock because we had thought of baby as a boy for all this time, chosen a name, etc... luckily only bought a few clothes all colour neutral! It will take a few days to sink in but obviously over the moon, couldn't care less really and it's also our first so no expectations.

@barneymcgroo haha yep! I was the midwife for a couple who came to hospital with a suitcase full of pink clothes and ribbons, a blanket with embroidery saying 'Elena' and they later told me they had painted the nursery pink too. Well guess what it was a boy! They couldn't stop laughing at birth at the silliness of it all. But I've only seen that happening once.

@Hopingforarainbow27 I don't know. There is evidence it can help prevent mc if you have a coagulation issue or if they ask you to take immunosuppressants (like it was my case). But also not all women need it. I guess I would follow Drs advice or get a second opinion from another Dr if you are unsure.

@sunnyd67 glad everything is fine and still a boy haha 😂 I wouldn't worry about size, it's notoriously inaccurate after 12w x

Also was anyone sore after the 20w scan? At some point the sonographer had to press really hard and it's now been a few hours and it's all sore down there!

@Arwen7 yes! I was very sore after my 20 week scan, all over my tummy, it was okay after a couple of days but it did hurt a lot for the first day!
