I'm a bag of nerves to be honest, I suffer bad anxiety ! What symptoms did/do everyone have ! Mine is brain fog completely forgetting certain for things ! And a metal taste in my mouth ! Xx

Hi everyone, is it ok to join? I would love to join this conversation for moral support. I am a bag of nerves as I’ve just found out I’m pregnant today (IVF) after TTC for 2 years and had 2 MCs before (both before 8w). So really don’t want to get to excited again too early and trying to take it one day at a time but it is really really stressful I must say. I’m 39, and I’m currently just 4w3d now so still very early. I’m on 3x400mg of progesterone at the moment but I think my NHS IVF clinic will stop that at around 8w. Well first, really hoping to get there, but will probably try to get a prescription for more as I’ll be very nervous to stop before 12w if I’m honest.
I would love to have an early scan too @dollface22 , I think my clinic will probably require one around 7-8 weeks but I am tempted to try and get one at 6w, even if they can’t see much, I’d be relieved just to know they could see something (as both my previous MCs were “Pregnancy of unknown location” - basically could never see anything).

@Tulip1112 the only thing that really helps zap that metallic taste is a green starburst. Think because it's so citrussy. So now my bag always has a bag of starburst in case of emergencies!

@Tulip1112 so pleased baby is ok. Sounds similar to me and my haematoma! Massive gush of blood at 9 weeks and convinced it was all over! Keep strong - you've got this xx

@Annny27 I’m on progesterone, I’ve been referred from one hospital to another as an outpatient. This is my last 5 days of taking it, as I’m 16 weeks come Friday.

I’ve been advised to just stop. No weaning. X

Did anyone obsessively test during the first few weeks ! I had faint line on cheapies and a good line on first response yesterday but did another cheapies this morning and it's a faint line! Not sure what I was expecting as they are cheap ! What supermarket brands have given you good results ? Xx

Quick question are you Ment to see midwife at 16 weeks? I ain't seen anyone in weeks and
Won't be till June I'm 17 weeks now!

@mrshodgy21 I did see midwife at 16 weeks. Think it was booked in from booking appointment. Won't see her again until 24 weeks. Unless it's different in your area x

I had midwife at 16w. Had whooping cough vaccine and bloods taken, ubiquitous urine sample. She tried to listen to the baby, but couldn't hear it. (I've since felt it moving - defo something there...)

I've had babies before and I'm sure you see midwife at 16 weeks x

I've been more of a lurker on these threads than a joiner - but I had a private 8-week scan at the weekend and it was just so amazing to see the little heartbeat and to know that (at the moment - still not out of the woods) everything is fine.

I was measuring one day behind, but I don't think that's anything to worry about? DH is a bit more excited than me, keeps quoting the 'only 2% of pregnancies that get to 8 weeks and have a heartbeat miscarry' stat - but I don't want to get ahead of myself.

Just the long wait for the 12-week scan now. Is anyone else going to have an early NIPT test? Or is that just my anxiety taking over?

@mrshodgy21 yes midwife appointment at 16w. It’s just a routine but nice because otherwise it’s too long without seeing anyone! Call your unit to let them know they missed you X

Hi all, I’ve finally caught up after my holiday, congratulations on the boys 💙 and I hope everyone is doing ok?

@babyjellyfish @dollface22 I’m similar to you 5+4 today 🥰 getting anxious today keep thinking I don’t feel sick and I did before, but I can feel tugs in my stomach and twinges in my boobs, I just need to keep thinking different pregnancy. I don’t know about you but I worry and compare it to when I was pregnant before!

Evening all. I've had metallic taste in my mouth and complete brain fog forgetting words etc 🤣
I've also booked an early reassurance scan also at 8 weeks ! Only another 3.5 weeks to go ! I keep thinking the worst Al the time & it's getting me down but I'm having counselling in the morn for my anxiety so hopin that will help !
Has anyone told close family/friends at an early stage or not ?
I did last time at 5 weeks and I regretted it we told our parents etc before I miscarried but now it's just me, DP and my best friend who know. xx

20 we scan today and the anxiety is creeping in 🤦 🤞 xx

Thinking of you @Skl2021 - will be so good to see your boy again 💙💙. I told them I was anxious when I went in and she immediately went straight to heartbeat and showed him moving so I relaxed a little xx

@Bridgey8 thankyou I am really anxious and my youngest is on a school trip away for the first time today and thats making me worry aswell 🤦 have also been feeling the odd movement and then the days I don't my mind goes into overdrive thinking something has happened! It's torture! Just hope everything is going to be ok and baby cooperates today 🤞🙌 xx

@Skl2021 I know how you feel. Movement for me is quite sporadic...if that is what I am feeling 🤷‍♀️ but I felt better at my scan when I could see baby kicking away and couldn't feel it - so not feeling doesn't mean no movement. He has to catch me in the right place for me to feel at mo I think. What time is scan? Cxx

@Bridgey8 yes I just hate feeling it one day and then nothing the next just makes you so anxious! Never ending 🤦 still don't feel like I can relax. It's at half ten not much longer to wait although I'm terrified 🙈 x

@dollface22 we told siblings and best friends after our 6 week scan and not many more people since tbh haha!

@Bridgey8 @Skl2021 movement is still sporadic to me too. But interestingly i feel them on the right hand side when I do, and I hadn't felt any yesterday and had midwife appointment anyway and she checked heartbeat and it was more in the middle than it was when she checked last time so obviously baby had moves to a position where I couldn't feel them as much which has given me some peace of mind!

@Lizm1990 thanks for checking in I'm doing okay thanks, not been on here much to try to curb the anxiety. Will be six weeks tomorrow 🤞 I'm not feeling much symptom wise yet either, but still getting cramps on and off. Started to feel a bit car sick driving home last night, not sure if pregnancy related or not but I hope so, just to know something is happening in there! I also compare to how I felt last time which is totally different, hope you're doing okay!

Been absent for a while here, hope everyone is okay My last babys due date is today and its hit me like a ton of bricks 😢. Really wish I didn't have to be in work today. We are so fortunate that our dating scan last week went well but I just feel so sad for my last baby who didn't get to stay 💔 and the anxiety of what could go wrong in this pregnancy crept back in only 3 days after the scan!
