Those of you who are in your second trimester for the first time - when did you start feeling movements?

Annny27 · 14/05/2022 23:54

@sunnyd67 end of 15 weeks/ beginning of week 16 (but I am very slim with a posterior placenta so not sure if that means it happens earlier)

@barneymcgroo photos please yes! Need inspiration haha. Ebay/ 2nd hand is a good Shout!

sunnyd67 · 15/05/2022 00:29

@Annny27 I'm currently 15 weeks and really hope to feel the baby soon, just to have some reassurance that everything is okay. I also have posterior placenta, I am size 10, but always had a little pouch of fat on my belly 😃 which now stands out even more.

dollface22 · 15/05/2022 07:25

Hi everyone is this group ok to join for people who jus found out they are pregnant and previously had losses ? Thanks x

Annny27 · 15/05/2022 08:55

@dollface22 ofcourse :) congratulations on your pregnancy and sorry that you have also experienced loss 💗 how far along are you?

@sunnyd67 I tend to only feel them on one side weirdly and it started off as a pressure type of feeling like they were pushing into one side

flowergarden16 · 15/05/2022 09:25

Welcome @dollface22 and congrats

Hope everyone is ok today and feeling relaxed x

Tofu35 · 15/05/2022 10:01

I've now passed the day of my last miscarriage (9+5), and I'm in my 10th week. Feeling very grateful but also nervous!

Skl2021 · 15/05/2022 10:28

@Tofu35 so glad u have got past that point it's a really anxious time I was terrified. Keep thinking positive u got this 🙌❤️ have u got your 12 weeks scan booked? Something to focus and look forward too 🤞 xx

siobhanmt247 · 15/05/2022 10:54

Morning all. I'm 9w tomorrow and I started bleeding with my last mc around 9w1d. I was feeling confident about everything but I seem to have picked up a cold or a bug or something and now I feel so poorly with that I don't feel pregnant any more so I'm a bit anxious about it all. It's not covid, it could just be me being run down with the pregnancy after spending days at a work conference again. Just wish I felt pregnant again

sunnyd67 · 15/05/2022 11:22

@siobhanmt247 I spoke to a nurse regards to colds and how it affects pregnancy symptoms - because your sense of smell changes then, you don't feel as sick or it hides some symptoms. It happened to me. Once the cold was gone, symptoms came back.

siobhanmt247 · 15/05/2022 11:26

@sunnyd67 thank you. I figured the cold symptoms are just overpowering me right now. Hopefully I'll just the pregnancy symptoms next week. Sunny D actually sounds amazing right now :) x

speake1 · 15/05/2022 12:55

@Bridgey8 congratulations on your little boy 💙

@aesgriff baby is a little monkey already, hopefully they’ll be more compliant in a week 😂 Glad everything looked good on the scan though & baby was moving around loads. Hope you’re feeling better! Xxx

Annny27 · 15/05/2022 16:32

I know @aesgriff asked but when weaning off progesterone when did you finish? I started going down to one 400mg a day at 16 weeks dn am now 16+4 and gonna go down to 200mg a day and then stop at 17 weeks I think

Tofu35 · 15/05/2022 17:05

@Skl2021 end of the month, decided against an early scan so the first scan is the 12 week one! Eek!

dollface22 · 15/05/2022 18:48

Thanks all I did a FRER yesterday. And according to my app I'm 4 weeks so very early.
And still in disbelief if I'm
Honest!
I had a tfmr at 7 weeks and a miscarriage at 6 weeks last year. I also suffer from reoccurring uti/cystitis. So I'm extremely anxious for this pregnancy !
We are going to have an Early scan but Not sure whether to have one at 7 or 8weeks ! Has anyone else had an early scan ?
Congrats to everyone xx

sunnyd67 · 15/05/2022 18:51

@Annny27 this is giving me major anxiety at the moment, I'm currently experiencing some very light brown discharge (had two episodes of dark brown on Thursday and then Friday, but not since), I have been told there is a small haematoma near cervix-it's been there for a quite few weeks now. I'm approaching 16 weeks, currently taking 400mg twice a day, I will have couple of pessaries left after I hit 16 weeks, but only for a few days, I was thinking to take one a day after 16w mark. But I'm really nervous.

sunnyd67 · 15/05/2022 18:54

@dollface22 I had one at 7w3d at my IVF clinic, but that's standard for them to have a viability scan. I then had a scan at 9w, 11w, 12w and 14w. Planning to book one when I'm around 16.5-17.5, as the wait between NHS scans are so long and I would rather have reassurance than worry.

flowergarden16 · 15/05/2022 19:44

Has anyone else still got sickness post 12 weeks?

Tulip1112 · 15/05/2022 19:49

Ladies I have had a dramatic few days!!! Started bleeding really really heavily on Thursday..like heaviest period ever. I was distraught and devastated. Called the EPU and they told me to come in Friday first thing to confirm miscarriage. Get there, complete wall of emotion, lying back having the internal scan just waiting to hear those words...when she turns to me and oh so casually says...' everything's fine, do you want to see baby wriggling'. Literally never cried so much in my life. Apparently it was a massive blood pocket that basically burst but on Friday the baby looked good. Doubled in size almost since my private scan 7 days before. I was sooo over the moon but almost feel like I'm just waiting for bad news now! Have another private scan on Tuesday before first midwife appt on Wednesday so will see what happens then. Sonographer recommended some time off to rest up so I'm doing that and just praying! X x

sunnyd67 · 15/05/2022 20:32

@Tulip1112 I am so sorry you had to experience this, but so glad everything is okay with the baby!! ❤️🤞🙏🏻 rest and take care, pregnancy is keeping you on your toes!

@flowergarden16 yes, some, not a lot comparing to earlier weeks, but still there.

flowergarden16 · 15/05/2022 20:34

Thank you @sunnyd67 mine has almost gone but came back badly today. It's freaking me out

@Tulip1112 oh my gosh you poor thing, amazing baby though! Fantastic news x

Srx1 · 15/05/2022 21:04

@dollface22 I had an early scan at 8 weeks :)
@Tulip1112 omg such a scary experience but so glad everything is ok in the end !

Tulip1112 · 15/05/2022 21:12

Thanks girls!!! Just praying my weirdly good luck continues. @dollface22 I had an internal NHS scan for viability at 6 weeks. A private abdo scan at 7+3 and then after my drama this week another internal NHS scan at 8+3!! Got another private at 9 weeks that I had pre booked a while ago x x

barneymcgroo · 15/05/2022 22:27

Flipping hell @Tulip1112, what a rollercoaster! So pleased it turned out okay - keeping fingers crossed for you. X

barneymcgroo · 15/05/2022 22:28

@flowergarden16 only ever had nausea, not really sickness. It continued until this week, really. Am 19w tomorrow.
