Thanks so much @Arwen7 💕

I have booked a scan locally tomorrow as I think it's the only thing that will help. Had a scan on weds and all fine but this is quite a trigger for me. Husband thinks I'm mad!

Appreciate your advice xx

Arwen7 · 25/06/2022 12:45

No worries @flowergarden16 hope you feel better soon and good luck with the scan tomorrow 💕
That's what pregnancy after mc does to us!! 😭

flowergarden16 · 25/06/2022 12:46

@Arwen7 so true!

Lizm1990 · 25/06/2022 15:33

thankyou @Cruz86 🥰

Skl2021 · 25/06/2022 16:03

@Cruz86 that pic is sooo cute 😍 making me want to book a 4d scan now 🙊 so jealous!! Xx
@arianasky good luck with gender reveal 🎉🙌✨ exciting times!! X

Annny27 · 25/06/2022 19:37

@Cruz86 soo cute!!! We also had 3d at our anomaly scan which I wasn't expecting! I think she said it's easier for them to check for cleft palletes etc etc but it was so sweet to see their face!

arianasky · 25/06/2022 21:34

@Skl2021 thank you 💙🌈

sunnyd67 · 26/06/2022 06:50

@Cruz86 that's a lovely picture ❤️
@flowergarden16 I hope the scan will put your mind at ease, best of luck. 🤞
@arianasky good luck with your gender reveal, exciting. 😍

I have woken up this morning really down. I feel like I haven't truly enjoyed this pregnancy so far, everyday is a worry about pain as everyday something is hurting, be it back, hips, stomach, uterus/baby, but there is always something. I'm not sleeping well, because my body hurts and I can't get comfortable, I'm struggling with mild IBS and sometimes it's hard to know if it's the uterus/womb hurting or my stomach. I'm still not feeling brave enough to announce my pregnancy to wider family or friends, only our parents know, and my work. I'm so grateful to be where I am now, feeling the baby kick away, it's amazing, I just want to be able to enjoy it more and not worry, to be able to tell people and talk about, because at the moment I can't even say 'I'm pregnant' out loud.

flowergarden16 · 26/06/2022 07:25

@sunnyd67 I know exactly how you feel and actually cried about the same thing last week. Been feeling rubbish and finding it challenging and worried every day something is going wrong. Just sending you sympathy and that it will all be worth it x

sunnyd67 · 26/06/2022 08:18

@flowergarden16 it will be all worth it, of course! But I just wish I could be feeling better, I have been waiting for this for so long, with so many losses and heartache in between that surely this should be the happiest time of my life, but it has been filled with worry ☹️ I hope this will pass, and as I get closer to meeting this baby I'll be able to enjoy it more.

flowergarden16 · 26/06/2022 08:20

@sunnyd67 a lot of the culture around pregnancy and childbirth is seen through the male gaze. It's bloody hard as is the first few months of having a baby! It's wonderful too but society and pop culture paints it as something entirely different as We are supposed to be good women and be doting happy mums! It's not the truth and that's ok :-) will get off my feminist soap box but however you feel is totally fine, and promise you it's the best thing ever (currently cuddling my two year old sharing a pain au choc and the best thing ever) x

Srx1 · 27/06/2022 14:00

Hi all, I hope everyone is ok? - I have missed loads of posts as I was away for a few weeks. I found out I’m having a boy 💙 I also had a whooping cough jab and anomaly scan today. It was ok apart from his right kidney being bigger (renal pelvis) so now I am waiting to hear when will I see a specialist for another scan. This was mentioned on my private scan couple of weeks ago but it was still within average parameters but today it was much bigger. So now I’m a bit bummed out of course and worried. I don’t supposed anyone had any experience with this? Thank you

Sassy144 · 27/06/2022 14:35

@flowergarden16 totally agree, my husband said a few weeks ago 'when do you get to the pregnancy glow stage?' 🙈 he almost got a slap. Society does paint the picture though that pregnancy is all lovely and beautiful and it couldn't be further to how we feel 😂

flowergarden16 · 27/06/2022 14:37

@Sassy144 omg ! Haha

Scan was all fine yesterday so that was a relief 🤞🏼

Skl2021 · 27/06/2022 14:42

@Srx1 congratulations on your little boy 💙 I have no advise about the kidney sorry but I hope everything will be ok 💞 xx

So today we finally got to double digits feels a bit of a milestone. 99 days until due date 💞🎉 x

flowergarden16 · 27/06/2022 17:30

@Srx1 also no advice but I would say they will give you all the info you need. We'll be thinking of you x

Lizm1990 · 28/06/2022 06:35

@Sassy144 good luck for your scan today 🥰

Sassy144 · 28/06/2022 08:06

@Lizm1990 aw thank you! Don't know how I'm going to make it through to 1pm, and I'm quite crampy this morning just to add to the fun 😂

speake1 · 28/06/2022 08:15

@Srx1 congratulations on your little boy 💙 Sorry I don’t have any advice on the kidney condition but try to take comfort from it being identified & seeing a specialist. They’ll put a plan in place to make sure everything’s ok xx

@Skl2021 omg 99 days sounds so soon!! How exciting 🥰

Does anyone else feel like they can’t catch a break at the moment? Every routine test I have comes back abnormal. I thought I was young, fit & healthy up until this past year 🙈 Latest being a routine bi-annual eye test that I went for last week & got sent straight to hospital, turns out I have a partially detached retina but they don’t want to operate until baby is here if possible. So now being monitored every 2/3 weeks for that 🤦🏻‍♀️ Between scans, midwife, consultant & now eye appts feel like I’m never going to be at work! Also making me panic as just don’t feel like my body is fit to take this baby to term, thank god 24 weeks / viability is in a few days!

flowergarden16 · 28/06/2022 08:28

Good luck @Sassy144 thinking of you!

flowergarden16 · 28/06/2022 08:29

@speake1 yes!!

Placenta scan bad, toddler constantly sick, I got a sickness bug last week convinced it was going to be another miscarriage, feeling rubbish this pregnancy etc etc etc!

I just keep telling myself it will be worth it: solidarity to you x

flowergarden16 · 28/06/2022 08:29

And @speake1 sorry about your retina my FIL had this and was all fine but I totally relate to the anxiety around that xx

Skl2021 · 28/06/2022 08:47

@Sassy144 good luck with your scan 💞 x

@speake1 yes definitely sounds soon and I'm so unorganized 🤣 sorry to hear about your eye but it's good there checking up on you every few weeks 💞 xx

Tulip1112 · 28/06/2022 08:50

@speake1 sorry you're having such a rough time! Definitely best to be monitored loads, even if it feels like a lot! Sending hugs!

Good luck @Sassy144, the wait is the worst!!! It will soon be here 💛

Does anyone know when you first start to see a consultant if you're consultant led please?
