@Prayingformyrainbow93 yes I did the big expensive travel system with my first don't know if I can justify doing it with my third 🙊 shouldn't of even looked at the expensive ones!! It is a beautiful pram tho 💙 I really should make a decision soon as time is ticking! Will be left with non 🤦🤣 xx

flowergarden16 · 21/06/2022 15:25

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I'm due in November I have a bugaboo bee that I use for my toddler - I got it in FB marketplace and it's good and cheaper than the Fox.

You won't really use the buggy much first couple of weeks tbh so don't worry too much :-)

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 21/06/2022 15:55

@Skl2021 It’s too hard not to look! I most definitely didn’t want to spend so much but now I can’t see getting anything other than that, I just need mums approval 🤣 I’m due in November too, you think you have all the time in the world but I guess time is creeping up! Xx

scoutcat · 21/06/2022 16:09

Hello again everyone! I feel like I haven't posted for ages. I hope everyone is well! 17 weeks today and still going strong, although a stomach bug floored me last week!

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I LOVE the new Silver Cross travel systems and was adamant I was going to get one. My mum and my sister were really encouraging me but then we tested folding them up, taking the seats/carry cots off etc and it was SO heavy. I think it was the Dune (the one that comes in the nice blue/grey/green) and I folded it with the seat on and tried to lift it up as if I was putting it in my boot and I just couldn't! I was so shocked. We're considering the Joie Versatrax now.

scoutcat · 21/06/2022 16:11

Sorry for the double post, but I also tried to take the seat off the chassis and found it really hard to get my hands to press the buttons, which sounds weird but I felt they weren't easy to get to and it was frustrating trying to get the seat off.

barneymcgroo · 21/06/2022 18:50

I live in the middle of nowhere, so bought a mountain buggy for number 1. Used pretty constantly for two years. Having carefully chosen one that would work with my car seat, I used the adaptors a grand total of one (1) time!

Also DS 1 (and 2, come to think of it) was a dreadful sleeper. He HATED the carrycot bit - it would actually wake him up, if I put him in it asleep. I finally worked this out when he was about 4 months old, tried him in the seat (was lie flat, suitable from birth) and he fell asleep almost immediately. Felt like such an idiot for not realising sooner...

Cruz86 · 21/06/2022 19:35

Oh my....the Silver Cross Reef is so nice 😂 xx

hi all! just need some advice from anyone please. currently shaking and dont know what to make of this. 6 weeks 3 days and have an early scan booked in for tomorrow and an observation and blood test appointment on Thursday (2 days from now)

speake1 · 21/06/2022 19:58

@mxrni first off, massive cuddle as I can imagine how you’re feeling right now. Easier said than done but try not to panic, I think almost every lady on this thread who is now in their second trimester had some so

Arwen7 · 21/06/2022 19:59

@mxrni I had that at around 6w too and I cried my eyes out thinking it was another mc. This time it was nothing (old implantation blood?) so crossing fingers for you its all good. Try not to panic, easier said than done I know.

speake1 · 21/06/2022 20:03

@mxrni sorry didnt mean to post…

  • had some sort of brown discharge / spotting / heavy bleeding during their first trimester, it doesn’t always mean the worst, as scary as it is. Bleeding is actually really common in the first trimester it’s just unfortunate that for previous mc all of our experiences associate bleeding with the worst but it’s actually most likely to be nothing based on statistics.

Its good that you have that scan booked in tomorrow already, fingers crossed it’ll be good news & they can reassure you that little bean is ok. Try to get some rest tonight and don’t panic / overthink it, I know first hand how you’re feeling but I had bleeding at 7 weeks during this pregnancy and I’m now 22 weeks so hopefully that can provide some reassurance too.

Massive cuddles, hand holds & all the baby dust for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you and praying for good news xxx

Annny27 · 21/06/2022 20:46

@mxrni I had something similar at 6 weeks - pink discharge and then some brown discharge over a few days. I am now 22 weeks)

Senidng love! I Got prescribed progesterone though so worth asking gp/epu xx

Bridgey8 · 21/06/2022 21:17

@mxrni sending love. I'm 25 weeks now and have had so much bleeding....

Implantation bleeding early on
Subchronic Haematoma weeks 8 - 16
And then cervical ectropian

As the consultant keeps saying - I'm just a bleeder and it's not uncommon at all.

It doesn't always mean the end. Stay strong xxxxx

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 22/06/2022 03:00

@scoutcat i didn’t physically try it out myself but the lady did it with ease. We are actually going to go back before I order as I said to my partner yesterday we will have to check we can do all those things ourself!
Honestly @Cruz86 ifs beautiful 🤣 I can’t not get it but I’m disgusted at myself for considering to pay that amount for a pram hahaha! Xx

arianasky · 22/06/2022 07:23

Ladies who have/had COVID while pregnant what did you use to feel better just paracetamol? My in laws have both just tested positive and we were with them day before yesterday so would rather stock up in case. Haven't done a test yet I will later but I do have a headache this morning 🙄 hoping it's just a pregnancy head ache I'm supposed to have gender reveal Sunday and going away Monday 😭

Sassy144 · 22/06/2022 07:31

@arianasky I currently have covid and I've just been taking paracetamol which does help with the headaches. I had a sore throat and the thing that helped best was hot things like soup and hot lemon and honey. For blocked nose I've been using Vicks vaporub on my chest but it hasn't helped that much. Fingers crossed you escape it, I didn't test positive for 3-4 days after having symptoms annoyingly.

arianasky · 22/06/2022 07:50

@Sassy144 thank you! I'm hoping I don't aswell I've got so much on this week and next 🙄 how are you feeling now?

arianasky · 22/06/2022 08:38

I've tested negative today so that's something just hoping it stays away now 🤞🏻

flowergarden16 · 22/06/2022 11:14

Hope it stays negative @arianasky

Just came back from private anatomy scan and was all good. Feel more confident about my NHS one now x

flowergarden16 · 22/06/2022 11:15

@mxrni just to reiterate what everyone else has said - try not to panic. I bleed like a period for a week (weeks 6-7) and everything was fine I had some leftover blood from Pervious period in my womb. Thinking if you x

aesgriff · 22/06/2022 13:08

@mxrni I also had numerous bleeds during the first trimester too. A really bad one with bright red gushing blood at about 11 weeks and I thought I was out. Private scans never picked up that I had a bleed in the womb that kept hoovering over the cervix, this was only picked up in my NHS dating scan which explains the constant brown spotting and bleeding. Sometimes you can also bleed if you strain too hard for a poo. It’s easy for us to say but try not to loose all hope yet xx

Sassy144 · 22/06/2022 14:12

@arianasky I'm feeling a lot better now thank you ☺️

arianasky · 22/06/2022 16:08

@Sassy144 good I'm glad, DP is rundown now aching all over and exhausted so thinking he may test positive he hasn't had COVID before but I've had it twice so who knows

Sassy144 · 22/06/2022 16:41

@arianasky oh no 😞 it really does seek to be everywhere at the moment

arianasky · 22/06/2022 16:59

@Sassy144 oh I know 🙄 and I'm the last half hour all my arms and neck have started aching aswell praying it's just something else 🙏🏻
