@Cruz86 yeah I had negative tests on Thursday and Friday. Husband woke up with a temperature today so I tested again and it's positive! I've had a sore throat the whole time, chesty on Friday and then more like a cold over the weekend, bunged up and headache etc. Feel a little bit better today so hopefully over the worst of it. No longer allowed to be the patient now that DH is on his deathbed anyway 😂

@Skl2021 thank you ❤️

Cruz86 · 20/06/2022 09:55

Haha oh isn't that the worst when you have to start being sympathetic towards them @Sassy144 😆 glad you're feeling a bit better though, thinking I should maybe do another test as well...

@Cruz86 might be a good idea, hope you feel better soon too!

arianasky · 20/06/2022 11:45

Sorry you've got COVID @Sassy144 and that you're not feeling great @Cruz86 💕

So I've got an appointment with the GP tomorrow because my discharge is yellow/grey tinged there no itching or smell at all but it's like a porridge consistency and it's quite a lot I'm having 🙄 sorry for the TMI ladies but just wondering if anyone has had any discharge like this and if I should be worried at all?

Cruz86 · 20/06/2022 12:35

Thanks @arianasky ☺️ I don't feel too bad anymore, just have a funny voice that I nearly lost yesterday!! I've not had discharge with that sort of consistency, but it sounds like it could be bv or something like that? Hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it tomorrow x

@Cruz86 that's what I'm thinking tbh as it's not like thrush hopefully just something they can cure easily. Aww lots of ice lolly's to soothe the throat and the heat is the perfect excuse haha!

sunnyd67 · 20/06/2022 16:42

@Sassy144 sorry you got covid, I hope you don't feel too bad and worst is over 🤞

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 21/06/2022 09:24

Ah Thankyou for the advise @speake1 we went to a shop nearby on Sunday. So of course I changed my mind from the pram I was looking at online to the most expensive one 🤣 who knew it’s nearly £2000 for a pram! Anyway I can’t get this pram out of my brain so I guess I’ll have to make it work somehow!!! Xx

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 09:29

@Prayingformyrainbow93 yes I'm not the only one 🙌🙊 which pram have u seen if u don't mind me asking? I fell in love with 2 expensive ones and can't stop thinking about them. I have been looking for a cheaper alternative 🤦 x

flowergarden16 · 21/06/2022 10:02

I have to say @Skl2021 I would spend as much as you can afford on a pram - you'll likely be using it for hours a day for the first year and then a bit until they are at least three. Second hand ones are good too though . I had a bugaboo fox for my first (until it got stolen, classic London!) and am going to get a second hand one for this time around x

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 10:24

@flowergarden16 I have been looking at second hand but had no luck. I don't really want to spend a fortune on one as I normally switch to a stroller when there a bit bigger as there alot easier to get around so would be a waste of money. Oh wow stealing a pram?! That's low! I'm undecided on the bugaboos. One minute I like them then I don't 🤦🙈 xx

flowergarden16 · 21/06/2022 10:31

@Skl2021 they took it from my boot along with his nappy bag and jacket!

Yeah they are really good but sooo expensive. There is a FB group specially for buying and selling i think xx

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 10:42

@flowergarden16 omg! Some people are just the lowest of the low to take the jacket and bag aswell 🤦 haha thanks I will keep looking 🙌🤞xx

speake1 · 21/06/2022 10:53

@Prayingformyrainbow93 haha I did the exact same thing with my daughter, there are just so many options. I second what @flowergarden16 said, although super expensive it will likely be worth the money. My husband and I wish we had a way to track how many miles our pram did as it was ALOT! What have you (pretty much) decided on? We’re going pram shopping on 1st July so I’m currently staring at any prams I see / on the hunt for recommendations 😂 xxx

speake1 · 21/06/2022 10:55

@Skl2021 have you tried Googling to see if you can find the ones you like maybe ex stock / display on any websites? My neighbour did that and got a couple of hundred pounds off an icandy peach & due to only being used as a demonstrator in the shop it looked brand new xx

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 11:02

@speake1 yes I have been stalking Facebook and marketplace and googling. I haven't even decided on the one yet anyway 🤦 I'm too indecisive 🤣 xx

Cruz86 · 21/06/2022 12:42

You're all making me question my £500 choice of travel system now 🤣🤣

OP posts:
Prayingformyrainbow93 · 21/06/2022 13:28

Hahaha @Skl2021 honestly, it was always going to happen! The one I‘m really considering is the Silvercross Reef. It is the full travel system so includes everything and like @flowergarden16 @speake1 say, you’re definitely going to get use out of it! Most places also allow you to pay in instalments too so it’s not the whole cost at once which makes me think going for the one that I really want isn’t so bad! Which ones have you been looking at? Everything is such a big decision! Xx

flowergarden16 · 21/06/2022 13:36

Good it's so hard isn't it and everyone has an opinion! Think it really matters where you live and lifestyle. We live in zone 2 urban London so need something I can use in the city but also parks etc and had a car seat attachment but if I lived less central I'd want something small that was easier to get in the car!

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 14:05

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I have been looking at the egg2 and the uppababy vista V2 both full travel systems and bags raincovers etc. But Its just so much money! I'm running out of time to pay monthly 🤣🤦 xx

speake1 · 21/06/2022 14:23

@Prayingformyrainbow93 the reef is one of the ones on my list to look at, it looks lovely… did you get told how long the lead time was likely to be? I saw a pram shop post saying orders at the end of May would be fulfilled in September but not sure if they were just scare mongering to get peoples orders in! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Skl2021 i also love the egg 2, there’s one out called stealth which is all black everything which I loooove

@Cruz86 not atall, you’ve still gone for a well known brand & your pram looks lovely!

xxx

Skl2021 · 21/06/2022 14:27

@Cruz86 I will probably buy one for around that mark aswell I can't justify spending thousands when we have so much to buy! I shouldn't of even looked at dearer ones 🙈 pram is a pram at the end of the day no matter what it costs! Yours will be fine ♥️ x

@speake1 that's what is grabbing me! I want all black frame and Fabrics 😍 and I love the shape of the egg! Will look at the stealth one 👀🤦 xx

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 21/06/2022 15:08

Oh I also looked at the Egg it is very gorgeous indeed! But yeah they are such a lot of money! For me, this is our first baby so I know if we are lucky enough to have another in the future then we wouldn’t have to make such a huge investment again! Also the lady in the shop said these brands hold a lot of their value so obviously if you was wanting to sell on in the future you’d be able to make a bit of something back! The shop I went to is literally 5 mins from me and they said we can pay however we would want to do (you’re not stuck with a payment replan as such) but have to pay it off before collecting the pram @Skl2021 I actually can’t remember whether they mentioned a lead time, but I do remember the lady saying you really should have a pram ready for around 30 weeks as I was questioning if we was looking too early @flowergarden16 - I have seen end of September online at a shop we was going to order from though! When are you due? I really want my mum to come and see the prams with me before I go and order but she’s away for another 2 weeks so I don’t want to lose it either! Xx
