@mrshodgy21 oh what gorgeous pics!

Skl2021 · 02/06/2022 16:12

@speake1 it was my liver function that came back elevated so I think it's not functioning as good as it should be? They haven't got back to me so I'm not entirely sure if I should be concerned yet or if I can do anything about it. I have had high CRP in the past and I'm sure the doctors said it can be caused by inflammation in the body i.e like an autoimmune conditions or an infection. Don't know if lifestyle changes or blood pressure has something to do with it. I'm sure you can do something about it though so don't be too concerned. Nothing ever got done about mine 🤦 they said I might have arthritis but I don't 🙄 I probably need to loose weight aswell x

flowergarden16 · 02/06/2022 17:44

@Lizm1990 that's literally how I felt until 12 weeks

Congrats @mrshodgy21

speake1 · 02/06/2022 20:36

@Skl2021 oh no, hopefully this next one will come back ok for you 🙏🏼 yeah I read that too, I think being coeliac can be classed as an autoimmune disease so I’ll need to raise that with them to see if it could be having an impact. My blood pressure & everything else is fine so who knows 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hope you hear something back soon xxx

Skl2021 · 02/06/2022 20:40

@speake1 yes definitely mention that and maybe check you don't have an infection of some sort that could have raised it! I'm sure u will be fine! Haha yes hope you hear something soon aswell 🤞 x

MangoLipstick · 03/06/2022 07:40

Thank you @Elspethelf
I probably won’t get one till week 7/8 if I do decide to get one.

@moomoose
I feel quite similar - In some ways , I’m glad I didn’t find out from a scan that I’d had a mmc but I don’t want to get to 12 weeks and the same thing happen again,.

thank you @Lizm1990 congratulations to you too!🧡
I can’t remember if I had symptoms this early when I had dd, it was over 3.5 years ago! I think it was around week 6.
I’m just more anxious this time around because of the mc, but trying hard not to overthink.

Used a Doppler this morning. I always seem to find the heartbeat very quickly, it's always around 140-148 bpm. This morning I could hear the heartbeat with what I think the cord or placenta interfering at times and it went down to 129, then after moving it around it went back up to 138-140, is this normal? I understand that the cord was very close to the heart so it was picking up both at the same time? As it sound like it. Any advice? I'm 18weeks.

Annny27 · 03/06/2022 10:56

@sunnyd67 the same as our hearts increase and decrease with activity, so do babies. But this is why I couldn't use one as it would cause me too much stress - are you feeling then move yet? A little kick during the day gives me assurance for now but I understand the need to want to find the heartbeat 💙💙

Arwen7 · 03/06/2022 11:32

@sunnyd67 a normal fetal heartbeat is between 120-160bpm (and even a bit lower sometimes at around 40w or more). It can go up and down as the baby moves, sleeps, sucks their thumb, etc. What midwives call decelerations (dips in the heartbeat), are completely normal antenatally especially at lower gestations. So I wouldn't worry at all! ☺️ I personally love my Doppler 🙈

sunnyd67 · 03/06/2022 12:55

@Annny27 Yes, I can feel the baby move, especially in the evenings. But sometimes I just need to that reassurance of hearing the heartbeat.
@Arwen7 Thank you! It really sound as there were the cord or placenta pulsing in the background - I can always find those as well.

Annny27 · 03/06/2022 13:24

@sunnyd67 mines active in the evenings too! Quite lazy in the mornings, I had a few proper kicks at 3am which makes me worry about what's to come when they are bigger at night time haha!

19 weeks today 🥳

sunnyd67 · 05/06/2022 08:13

18 weeks now. Should I be sleeping on my sides? I've been sleeping on my back most nights, I'm worried I've done something wrong. ☹️

Annny27 · 05/06/2022 09:56

@sunnyd67 this was my Google search this morning haha! All guidance says after 28 weeks with some stuff saying try not to spend all night on your back after 20 weeks. I am 19 weeks and trying to sleep on my side but my hips hurt so much so I do a sneaky back lie in the early morning!!

Bridgey8 · 05/06/2022 11:13

@Annny27 I'm finding the not lieing on my back soooo hard. I try everything to keep on side but still wake up on back gahhh!

siobhanmt247 · 05/06/2022 14:04

I had some new cramping last night. It was all in my lower back and felt like id trapped a nerve or something. Has anyone else had that?

4 days until my scan thank God!

sunnyd67 · 05/06/2022 14:31

@Annny27 my baby usually is active in the evening and feel it the most when lying on my back, so I place my hands on my tummy to feel him/her, and then fall asleep.. I'll try to fall asleep on my sides from now on.

Annny27 · 06/06/2022 09:43

Morning ladies :) how is everyone getting on?

@sunnyd67 same! Always active when I lie back its lovely 😍

@Bridgey8 it's really tricky isn't it! I put a pillow behind me so that even if I roll over I am like half on my back if that makes sense

@siobhanmt247 I had lots of constipation/ gas pain / Cramping. All your organs are being squished and moved around so it takes some adjusting haha

sunnyd67 · 06/06/2022 10:12

@Annny27 Tried sleeping on my sides last night. Woke up to my whole body hurting everywhere! 🥲

Annny27 · 06/06/2022 10:37

@sunnyd67 I usually sleep on my side but it's something about sleeping on side whilst pregnant which hurts my hips so much!! I did see some advice to put a spare duvet under your sheet for some extra padding. I might try that

sunnyd67 · 06/06/2022 11:16

@Annny27 I'm thinking of buying a pregnancy pillow to see if it helps.

Any recommendations?

flowergarden16 · 06/06/2022 11:55

Hi girls how is everyone?

Second time mums when did you feel baby move this time? I'm 16 weeks today and haven't felt anything yet x

flowergarden16 · 06/06/2022 11:55

@sunnyd67 I got one from Amazon last time loved it x

Amphibian94 · 06/06/2022 11:59

Anyone have experience with protein in urine? Had some frothy urine today, not sure if I should be concerned at only 14 weeks?

Arwen7 · 06/06/2022 12:54

@sunnyd67 I got bbhugme and I love it. It's expensive though compared to others but really nice. I got it 2nd hand from Ebay so saved some money.

@Amphibian94 do you have any uti symptoms? That can come up as protein. If you do ask your gp for a test and you may need antibiotics. Otherwise the midwife at 16w will dipstick it for you and if she thinks there is something she will send it to test. However with protein we worry about pre eclampsia and at 14 weeks it's too early to develop it so it would not be anything like that.

Amphibian94 · 06/06/2022 12:57

@Arwen7 thanks I'll give my gp a call! My 16 week midwife appointment is only a telephone one so won't be seeing anyone till 20 weeks.
