Thank you! A massive relief 😊 can put the worries/anxieties in a box for a while!

arianasky · 31/05/2022 13:56

@Tofu35 brilliant news 🌈

Arwen7 · 31/05/2022 14:14

Yay @Tofu35 💕

arianasky · 31/05/2022 14:26

Another question from me 🙈 sorry if it's annoying 💕 anyone else really cold
In pregnancy? I'm wfh and I wear comfy like leggings and sweater or hoodie but I've had to have a hot water bottle fluffy blanket and snoodie on the last two days I'm like ice! 😞

Skl2021 · 31/05/2022 14:46

@arianasky yes I'm sure everything is fine 💕 hope u get a letter soon and Dont have to wait xx

@Tofu35 lovely news 💕🙌🌈 xz

Skl2021 · 31/05/2022 14:48

@moomoose good luck today 💕 x

@arianasky I'm the complete opposite absolutely red hot all the time 🙈😅dreading summer xx

arianasky · 31/05/2022 16:24

@Skl2021 😂😂 god knows what's wrong with me 😂 I'm dreading it too tbh especially the nights

moomoose · 31/05/2022 17:54

Thanks @Skl2021 it actually went fine. Good heartbeat and measured at 10w2 which is bang on. Still not out of the woods yet, but nearly there. Just got to wait for the 12 week scan and genetic testing. Hopefully I'll be able to relax a bit then.

When did other people start buying stuff?

speake1 · 31/05/2022 19:40

@Skl2021 super itchy but tbh just feel horrific, my husband keeps asking if there is anything that isn’t wrong with me but honestly it’s just everything. We’re off to Spain on Sunday and flipping hoping these symptoms bugger off by then. Hope your test went ok today & you don’t need to wait too long for the results again 🤞🏼

p.s. you should move to north east Scotland, it was a tropical 7 degrees today 🥶 xxx

Skl2021 · 31/05/2022 19:52

@moomoose glad everything went ok! 💕 I'm 22 weeks and only bought a few things upto now. Was too scared to buy anything 🙈 x
@speake1 my itching was that bad I made myself bleed 🤦 but stopped once I started antibiotics 🙄 yes had the test haven't heard anything back. I was waiting one hour for a 2 minute blood test 🤦. Hahah that is my type of weather!! It was 14 degrees here today and that was to hot for me 🤣🙌 always having hot flushes 🤦 x

Lizm1990 · 31/05/2022 21:29

@moomoose & @Tofu35 great to hear your scans went well! 😊

Amphibian94 · 01/06/2022 07:35

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while now but my anxiety is getting the better of me! I had my 12 week scan last week and the sonographer was really happy with everything. Also had scans at 6, 8 and 10 werks due to 4 previous mc. I'm on aspirin and hydroxy and despite all my scans being "perfect" I am so nervous something is going to go wrong. How do you all cope? I told myself I would be more relaxed after thr 12 week scan as thats the furthest we got and it all looked good. But I am defo not relaxed! Any advice welcomed... xo

arianasky · 01/06/2022 10:52

@Amphibian94 hello, congratulations on good scans 🌈 I can't really help you to much as my anxiety is awful too, I'm 15+1 today and I just think of it as today I am pregnant and all is ok if that makes sense? But I totally get the anxiety I panic about everything also

barneymcgroo · 01/06/2022 11:05

@speake1 @Skl2021

7 degrees - I KNOW! That's where I am, broadly speaking. Walked the dog yesterday in my winter parka. Flipping hell, May, you're usually the best month, but this has been ludicrous!

MangoLipstick · 01/06/2022 12:52

Hi everyone,
I recognise some names on here from another thread 🧡
I am glad to read that you and your little ones are doing well.

I got my bfp last week! I’m 4 + 2 wks.
We had a mmc at 12 weeks in Jan so we are so happy, but I also feel a little, not sure really, like I don’t want to get too excited about anything. It’s so early. With the mmc, I was oblivious to anything being wrong. (1st scan wasn’t booked in till 12 + 3 , a couple of days after the mc)

I don’t feel pregnant at all, except for the odd twinges and pulling sensation and abit of gas. No sore boobs or anything. I know it’s v.v early. Feel quite anxious, but taking each day at the time. Would you recommend a private scan for reassurance?

Elspethelf · 01/06/2022 19:01

@MangoLipstick Congratulations on your BFP! I think private scans are great if they can ease your worries but don’t get it too early. You might risk not seeing anything and worrying for no reason. I think 7-8 weeks is good timing to see something.

moomoose · 01/06/2022 19:56

I think private scans can be reassuring, but I've approached them with a 'it means everything is ok today, not that everything will stay ok' attitude.

I have definitely found they've helped me anxiety, but I'm very much aware that a good scan at 8w and 10w doesn't guarantee anything. I had mmc last time, which has probably influenced my decision - if I'd had a non-missed miscarriage I don't know if I'd have found it so helpful.

I think it's a really personal decision, what's right for one person isn't right for another.

flowergarden16 · 01/06/2022 20:13

Welcome to all the new ladies and happy bank holiday everyone. Lovely to see lots of BFPs and good scan news

Has anyone else had an early anomaly scan? I think I'm going to book one for 18 weeks

I've also realized I'm missing a pack of progesterone for next week but going to have to just go down to one a day as Obvs four day weekend now. Dammit.

Lizm1990 · 01/06/2022 21:48

@Amphibian94 thats good that your scans are spot on, I can’t really offer any advice other than maybe do something you enjoy that could take your mind off of it for a bit, won’t work all the time but hopefully distracts a little bit 😊

@MangoLipstick yayyyy big congratulations! 🌈 I’ve tried to not get too excited either, also had a MMC early Feb it’s hard. If it’s anything to go by when I found out I didn’t have loads of symptoms and I’ve progressively got more, try not to over think it (I can’t talk as I did exactly that 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣)

aesgriff · 02/06/2022 10:21

@Skl2021 @arianasky @speake1 thank you ladies for the reassurance! It’s been on and off but my god does it hurt!!! On our way home today so looking forward to a catch up of the thread with a cuppa xx

Hope you’re all taking care of yourselves ladies xx

Lizm1990 · 02/06/2022 11:10

Did anyone get feelings of feeling like utter shite I don’t mean nausea or sickness, more like you feel like you are coming down with something just feeling unwell in general? I’m getting it everyday and I have zero nausea or sickness so I’m counting my blessings as I had nausea last time and it wasn’t fun. Whenever I google how I feel nothing comes up and nothing makes the feeling go away other than time passing then I feel fine. Just wondered if anybody feels like this and have found ways to combat it? I’m 8 weeks btw and it’s started happening the past week.

mrshodgy21 · 02/06/2022 13:59

Sorry not been on much but here's our 20 week scan our little boy is cooking nicely!
Can't believe we have made it this far still feels surreal!
Hope all the ladies are good and baby's are growing nicely! X

@mrshodgy21 lovely piks 💞 halfway!! X

speake1 · 02/06/2022 16:06

@mrshodgy21 great pics, congrats 🥰 our 20 week one is tomorrow 🤞🏼

@Skl2021 sorry if this is too personal a question, do you know what liver test of yours came back abnormal / elevated. My liver function test has came back ok but my CRP test which I believe is something produced by the liver is abnormal / higher than it should be so also back in for a retest when I get back from holiday. Just wondered if it was the same thing as yours. Genuinely just do not think my body can cope with pregnancy 🤦🏻‍♀️ Xxx
