@scoutcat amazing news ❤️ I'm glad your scan went well!
@Cruz86 I am starting to feel bubbling again since yesterday, how are you?
@Skl2021 sounds scary, but I have everything crossed for you it is nothing serious, I hope the antibiotics help too, it's always worrying. Have they been in touch with you yet? 🤞

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today, she also offered to listen for the heartbeat, found it straight away! Relief. I asked about progesterone as I'm just weaning off, I asked her if she thinks I need anymore or if it's going to impact the pregnancy having been on it for so long, she said she doesn't know but if I wanted to have more to ask gp, I just want a straight yes or no answer, I hate being told to decide for myself especially regards to medication - because I DON'T know!

arianasky · 24/05/2022 19:27

@scoutcat oh thank you haha that's so funny

@Skl2021 oh no! That sounds awful 😞 hopefully it's something else that they can cure easily when the results come back 🙏🏻

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 19:41

@sunnyd67 yes but stil waiting on the main result 😣 x

@arianasky thanks I have been googling and scaring myself I know I shouldn't 😣 just want the result already. X

Arwen7 · 24/05/2022 20:15

@Skl2021 argh the wait! Today's results are encouraging coupled with the fact that cholestasis usually appears much later on, the odds are in your favour! The wait is just stressing though and how is the itching now anyways?

I wouldn't worry about the UTI at all, I meant it can cause problems if untreated like kidney infection but if it had gone to that stage you would know about it as it would be so painful. A simple UTI wouldn't hurt the baby or you xx

@sunnyd67 I'm on progesterone as per my consultants advise until 16w, then they told me I can stop - no weaning required. In my understanding that would be more than enough if your previous issue was early mc like me. But I would think maybe EPU would know more about it than the gp if you could maybe call them? Just a suggestion maybe I am wrong.

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 20:19

@Arwen7 funny u should say that I'm currently trying not to rip my legs off 🤦🙈 so much worse at night. I have had it a few weeks now but over the past week it has ramped up! I just want to know what it is!! Yes I'm trying to stay positive and hope it isn't that just so worrying isn't it. X

Arwen7 · 24/05/2022 20:44

@Skl2021 oh no that sounds awful, sorry to hear. Hope it passes soon or you get something that helps!

Thank you all! @Skl2021 No idea - I didn't avert my gaze from the genital region, as I did for previous ones, but still haven't a clue what I'm looking for!

Srx1 · 25/05/2022 15:15

I hope you’re ok @Skl2021 and everyone else! 🍀

I was wondering, can anyone recommend a good pregnancy book? One that follows pregnancy and also gets you prepared for the baby? Also one for dads ( that is informative rather than just one of those silly funny ones) I know that ‘What to expect when you’re expecting’ is always mentioned but I also read that is more for Americans. I tried to google recommendations but it is hard to tell what is good. Thanks! ☺️
