I'm starting to feel things daily now - and felt it on the outside for the first time yesterday! My husband also says he felt it, so reassuring!

Nursery bits - our fb marketplace is pretty good. I've still got everything from last time. I found a snuzpod next to me type cot completely brilliant last time around, so will be using that again.

Need to get my head around car seats - CANNOT for the life of me figure it out. Would rather not buy a new car...

arianasky · 24/05/2022 08:10

@flowergarden16 aww that's good, I've kind of got my head around it'll be a section anyway so I'm not gutted about it or anything I'd rather be safe for the baby, that would be good 😂

alvaryder · 24/05/2022 09:59

@dollface22 I have been spiralling with those dates tests also. But then I remembered I got bad ovulation pain super late this month so figured my conception date was later than standard. But they really mess with your head. Try waiting a week and seeing if it changes xx

alvaryder · 24/05/2022 10:00

@winsones I'm due 27th Jan. Super early doors for me! So many days of stress ahead!

barneymcgroo · 24/05/2022 10:01

@arianasky definitely worth doing what's safest for baby! My first was breech, so I had an ELCS, which I wasn't delighted about at the time, but it was very calm and peaceful, and recovery was fine.

scoutcat · 24/05/2022 10:04

Good morning! I had my 12 week scan this morning and I'm now 13 weeks with a due date of 29th November. I actually can't believe this is happening! After having two losses I'd sort of thought my body was broken. 😭 I'm so unbelievably happy!

@scoutcat YAAAAAYYY!!!

Annny27 · 24/05/2022 10:11

Amazing @scoutcat :D (p.s your name is onnthe scan, if you wanted to remove it, you can report your post and mumsnet will delete it for you :))

@Arwen7 thanks lovely! Yep I am trying not to lie down so much haha. And have got some rennies for emergency relief If needed haha! Are you finding out the babies sex? Can't remember if you said or not

P.s I saw my tummy move last night really low! I am only 18 weeks but quite small and felt a little tap and then my tummy twitched haha

Tulip1112 · 24/05/2022 10:17

@scoutcat congratulations lovely!!! I'm the same- 3rd pregnancy and hoping your good luck spreads to me for my 12 week scan in 2 weeks time 🙏🌈 enjoy your day riding that high 💛

arianasky · 24/05/2022 10:25

@barneymcgroo if I'm honest the only thing that worries me about it is the needle into the spine 🤢 I'm not scared of injections but the thought of it into the spine petrifies me 😂

@scoutcat ah amazing congratulations lovely 💕🌈

@Annny27 eee how exciting I can't wait to feel actual movements and for DP to feel them

barneymcgroo · 24/05/2022 10:29

@arianasky Not 100%, but I think they give you a numbing injection first, then the big one into the spine. It's super weird, but it does work a treat! Couldn't feel a thing, couldn't walk til the next morning...

@Annny27 So lovely feeling them move!

speake1 · 24/05/2022 10:38

@scoutcat lovely scan pic, congratulations 😊

Arwen7 · 24/05/2022 10:55

@scoutcat aww congrats! What a lovely pic. It's difficult to believe when you have had mc before but seeing them in the screen really makes it real! 💕

@Annny27 lol I know what you mean about trying not to lie down so much, my back is quite sore and I should be more active however on my days off just want to chill 🙈
We did find out last week at 13w, we are having a boy! And you?

@arianasky I see epidurals every day and they are so so safe and yes you get a numbing local first with a tiny needle. If I can't try a home birth or at the very least birth centre for whatever reason I will most likely ask for an elective section, they are always so calm and safe etc.

arianasky · 24/05/2022 11:22

@barneymcgroo @Arwen7 thank you both that has eased my mind a little with the numbing cream, I feel a bit daft now it's common sense really 😂 what am I like 🙈

flowergarden16 · 24/05/2022 12:06

Woooo congrats @scoutcat Smile

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 15:19

Hey ladies just checking in spent my 1st morning on the day assessment unit today 🤦 I'm really itchy to the point of making myself bleed so I'm being tested for cholestatis. I also have a UTI so now on antibiotics. My anxiety is through the roof. Hated being stuck in a room brought everything flooding back. Baby wouldn't be found with the Doppler which didn't help 🙈 Waiting on a doctor ringing me back with my results hopefully today. 🤞 X

aesgriff · 24/05/2022 16:53

@Skl2021 gosh that sounds really scary! I hope
you have your results by now. Have they offered a scan? Naughty baby wiggling away from the Doppler xx

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 17:05

@aesgriff I was hoping it would be a while yet before I ended up in there! I hope it's not that as It doesn't sound good. No still haven't heard anything. Nope no scan she said from what she heard it was fine. Literally a few seconds. Can't think straight just want this phone call over already x

scoutcat · 24/05/2022 17:10

Thanks you everyone!

@arianasky I am awful with needles but opted for the epidural and it was nothing really, even trying to keep still between contractions was ok too and that's what worried me the most. I did freak out the day after though because I kept feeling something sharp in my back and thought they'd left a needle in there (?) but it turned out it was just sticky stuff stuck to my back hairs 🤣 my husband thought I was being so stupid haha!

@Skl2021 I hope they phone phone you soon with good news!

speake1 · 24/05/2022 17:13

@Skl2021 so sorry you’ve found yourself in there today, I hope you get the call with your results soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it’s just another of these things & not cholestatis 🤞🏼 xxx

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 17:16

@scoutcat thanks 💕🤞 x

@speake1 I'm hoping I'm just itchy or used something that's irritating me. Seems very early to develop this aswell but better safe than sorry. I'm just a panicky mess 🤦 didn't even know I had a UTI I get no symptoms at all x

Arwen7 · 24/05/2022 17:35

@Skl2021 I hope it's nothing xx

Arwen7 · 24/05/2022 17:36

@Skl2021 asymptomatic UTI is super common in pregnancy so good you are treating it as it can get worse without treatment but you should be fine after your course of antibiotics.

Lizm1990 · 24/05/2022 17:58

@scoutcat congratulations 😊😊🎉🎉

Skl2021 · 24/05/2022 19:13

@Arwen7 I hope I haven't had it too long and it hasn't caused any problems. 🤞

So one result is back and slightly elevated but there not concerned. My other test that is the one that says if I have cholestatis will take 2 days 😣 so now I wait. Dreading it. X
