TMI post. I feel comfortable putting this here instead of fb where you can out my name to my face 😂

Is anyone else constipated?? I don't feel constipated enough to warrant medication but it's definitely a struggle. Also have terrible trapped wind aswell. I remember the wind with my first and it was awful in the third trimester. I know I should be eating leafy veg and lots of fibre but my nausea says no

lifechanginglemoncake · 17/05/2022 21:42

@RSmamaa it's not so bad now but the weekend was 'a strain' as it were. Worst I've been for years, don't remember it that bad the first time round. I'm 10 weeks now and managing more veg which I think is helping.
Is there a Facebook group? I'm keen to join if there is.

tasha4eva10 · 17/05/2022 21:43

Ok seeing as we're going down this road screw it 😂 I was constipated couldn't face changing my diet but doing the deed last night which included anal that cleared that issue right up. Might be worth a try 🤣🤣

feistymumma · 17/05/2022 21:57

@MrsWindrush I had my booking appointment last week (am 11 weeks this week). I've already got my appt for the scan for 29th May

Tofu35 · 18/05/2022 04:16

@RSmamaa yes, definitely constipated! Although now when I have a poo (sometimes a day or two between them), I like to declare it to my husband- which I'm sure he loves to hear...

Having one of those early wake up days- 4am feels like 8am. Been awake for an hour and I'm ready to start my day!

quinnbaby · 18/05/2022 05:37

Hi Ladies. I should be 10 + 5 today but unfortunately on Friday we found out we had a missed miscarriage. The babies (twins) are still warm and content inside with no bleeding or pain.

We only found out due to another private scan. I am booked in for surgery tomorrow.

it is going to be hard for sometime coming to the realisation that my December babies will never be.

if anyone has any successful rainbow baby stories I would love to hear them for some hope for the future.

I hope all your December babies arrive happy and healthy xx

PinkLemonade03 · 18/05/2022 07:16

Hey ladies, I'd totally lost the thread - kept searching for a thread #3 but I've finally found you all again after a few weeks away 😂

Hope everyone is doing well?

I noticed a few mentions of symptoms starting to disappear - I'm the same and I'd been having some severe sickness between week 6 and 10 so the GP put me on Cyclizine (which really helped a lot FYI, for anyone who is currently struggling). I'm sooo glad the sickness has calmed over the last couple of weeks, however, it does give me a little bit of anxiety at the same time..

I have my 12 week scan on Friday so I'm just focusing on that and hoping all is well 🤞🏼💕

I'm excited to hear from others as I'm sure more scans are due any day now!

PinkLemonade03 · 18/05/2022 07:17

So so sorry to hear that quinnbaby, sending lots of love ❤️

stuntbubbles · 18/05/2022 07:24

I’m so sorry, @quinnbaby – take care of yourself. Flowers

HayleyBean · 18/05/2022 07:37

Oh quinnbaby I'm so sorry to hear this. Please take care of yourself x

Mommabear20 · 18/05/2022 07:42

@quinnbaby I'm so sorry to hear about your loss!
My cousin had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and then went on to get pregnant the month her baby would have been due. That pregnancy resulted in her beautiful baby girl who will be 1 soon! Just remember that happy and healthy pregnancies are far more likely than miscarriages, so there is always lots of hope!

I hope you get your rainbow soon! But in the meantime, take care of yourself! ❤️

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss quinbaby wishing you all the best for the surgery and sending baby dust your way x

Tofu35 · 18/05/2022 09:25

@quinnbaby sending you love and strength during this difficult time, after my miscarriage I told some of my closest friends and I didn't realise how many of them had rainbow babies, well rainbow 6 year olds that I've played with and babysat multiple times. I don't know if you're in a position to do the same, but hearing their stories gave me a lot of hope for the future. 💐

bbno2 · 18/05/2022 09:54

@quinnbaby my first pregnancy ended in a MMC. About three months after that I fell pregnant with my daughter who is a beautiful and healthy 5 year old.

When I had my MMC a nurse at the hospital told me something that may be anecdotal, but it helped me. That first pregnancies are more likely to end in miscarriage than subsequent ones because your body isn't quite sure what it's doing yet - but that subsequent pregnancies it knows what it's doing and how to do it "right" this time. That nurse told me about her own first miscarriage and that she went on to have multiple healthy children. I think miscarriage is very common and as someone else says you may find family and friends with kids today have been through it too but not mentioned it.

And I never forget my first pregnancy. But without it ending the way it did I wouldn't have my daughter. It's a funny feeling really... I'm not happy I had a miscarriage, of course I'm not. But I couldn't imagine not having my little girl.

The overwhelming likelihood by a very long way is that you will go on to have your own beautiful baby/babies and you won't be able to imagine a world without them either.

Sending lots of love x

bbno2 · 18/05/2022 09:56

I have my scan next Thursday and hoping all is OK.
Have covid at the moment and haven't been well at all and am a little worried that it's going to have negatively affected the baby. Hopefully not and they're growing away well in there completely oblivious to it all.

hopefulsunshine11 · 18/05/2022 10:33

So so very sorry for your loss @quinnbaby my heart breaks for you and all the other ladies who have lost on this thread. I had a MMC last May, I only discovered this at a private 7 week scan. No baby had actually formed but I didn't actually bleed until 10 weeks. I am now 11 weeks and I'm terrified there will be nothing there again, I went against getting an early scan because of the bad experience I had previously. I did also get told that first pregnancies were more likely to end in MC. My only thing is I had a termination 10 years ago (for various reasons) so I suppose I don't know how that pregnancy would have ended up if I went ahead with it, I'm obviously 10 years older now and my body has changed a lot so just hoping this is a sticky bean.

One thing I will say is I did speak out about my MMC and it really helped release my emotions and it was incredible the amount of women who reached out and told me their experiences which I would never have known and my partners friends told him about their experiences too so we both found it really helpful and supportive.

Take care of yourself 💐 xx

RSmamaa · 18/05/2022 12:15

@lifechanginglemoncake i think @Jj19 can help you with facebook!

@Tofu35 I also have to declare 😂 poor men!

Sdoubleyou · 18/05/2022 12:46

@quinnbaby, I'm really sorry this is happening to you. I had an MMC last July and I understand the shock and pain. You can reach out to me in private if and when you're ready. Connecting with others also helped and actually a group of women going through the same thing on Mumsnet really helped me.

I saw a therapist after the MC and it helped quite a bit. One of the things she said was that I needed to grieve each individual thing about the baby we lost, the due date, milestones, etc. It helped the cut up my grief in little digestible bits instead of trying to "deal" with it al at once.

This time around it looks like things are progressing well, so so far it's looking like this may be our rainbow. Still sometimes in disbelief that it's happening, but it is. And it will for you too. Many hugs and much love ❤️.

tasha4eva10 · 18/05/2022 13:05

Afternoon ladies, is anyone else really struggling with the tiredness still? I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm absolutely exhausted, the house is falling behind, I have washing up to my eye and no matter how hard I try I just can't muster any energy or motivation to get things done! It's like I'm having to save all my energy just to cook the evening meal

Chanel05 · 18/05/2022 13:21

@tasha4eva10 I'm 8+1 and feeling all the levels of tired at the minute!

My daughter is napping in her cot at the minute and I've climbed in bed 😂. I don't think I can really sleep though because my cleaner is downstairs and here for another hour 🤦‍♀️.

hopefulsunshine11 · 18/05/2022 13:21

@tasha4eva10 I was the same, I was going home after work and going straight to bed! I was off one Monday and didn't get out it all day!! I'm 11 weeks now and don't feel as tired but definitely did between 4-8 weeks!

Tofu35 · 18/05/2022 13:36

Some days super tired, some days feeling okay. I have started retching today, which is always good for testing my reflexes when I have to quickly turn off my camera and microphone...

DogsAndGin · 18/05/2022 16:58

Hi ladies, as this is my first pregnancy, and I know it is for many others on this thread too, I just wanted to offer some reassurance after recent comments about miscarriages being more likely for us first timers.

This study looked at women who had had a normal scan or midwife visit between 6-11 weeks.

The risk of miscarriage among these low risk pregnancies was just 9.4% at 6 weeks, 4.2% at 7 weeks, 1.5% at 8 weeks, 0.5% at 9 weeks and 0.7% at 10 weeks.

Just in case anyone else has been sent into a panic. I hope we all go on to have healthy babies x

@tasha4eva10 crikey! That’s adventurous! I think I’ll stick with the dried fruit! 🤣

I have also been terribly constipated - I’ve been given some delightful suppositories from the dr 😩

tasha4eva10 · 18/05/2022 17:03

🤣🤣🤣 yes I don't blame you hahaha.
