Congrats @Norberta how many weeks are you?

I've had spots too which I never usually get

X

Norberta · 17/04/2022 14:31

@flowergarden16 I was measuring 8+3 at the scan but I’m 7+6 by my dates so I’m chuffed to bits! Honestly you could have brown me over with a leaf when she said all was fine I was convinced it had gone wrong again.

arianasky · 17/04/2022 15:11

Another question sorry, so last two days I've had some slight cramping across the top of my uterus, it's not painful just a bit twingey anyone else randomly get this at about 8 and a half weeks? Obviously overthinking it and worrying a little

Artisticpiglet3 · 17/04/2022 15:16

Bleeding seems to have stopped for now just light spotting. That's a good sign isn't it, if it was bad bad it would have got worse not less

Norberta · 17/04/2022 15:22

@Artisticpiglet3 I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about there are lots of people who bleed throughout their pregnancies and everything is fine. And yes if it’s slowing down then that does seem good but I would still reach out to EPU when you can to put your mind at ease xx

Tulip1112 · 17/04/2022 16:55

Hi everyone!!

I'm finding so much comfort in reading through this thread today. I have an MMC in October at 11 weeks, a pretty traumatic MC at 9 weeks in Jan and found out I was pregnant 9 days ago - I'm now 7 days late from my period. No symptoms yet except a really achey and crampy belly Confused

I had really bad symptoms with my first, some symptoms that disappeared before I lost my 2nd and now nothing so I'm so worried. Also a knickers investigator!! The anxiety of going for a wee and having to breathe deeply before looking at the tissue... so horrible!

Want this more than anything, going to call my local EPU on Tuesday as they said I could have an early scan and I think Cyclogest if i got pregnant again. Has anyone had this??

Scanxiety keeps me awake at night but I know it needs to have implanted before they will consider what they can do to help...eek! X x

barneymcgroo · 17/04/2022 17:05

@Tulip1112 Exciting to have tested positive - hope this one hangs on! Haven't had Cyclogest, but sure someone on here will have had knowledge of it.

All the worrying is completely normal, and you're in a very supportive place for hand holding, support (and weird dreams about Lenny Henry, apparently...!)

Hope you're okay, and hold on in there.

speake · 17/04/2022 20:44

@Tulip1112 sorry you find yourself here with the rest of us, glad you managed to find some comfort from reading our messages 🤍 I am on cyclogest currently, it’s just a brand of progesterone pessarie which quite a few of the ladies on this forum are on. I can’t say if it has been the thing that helped me or not but so far this pregnancy is going well so it can’t be purely down to luck. Assuming you get prescribed it by EPU you’ll likely have to take two pessaries per day, one in the morning & one at night. They will likely recommend taking it vaginally but I would enquire whether you can take it rectally instead (grim I know) as that way it actually stays in your body. I found taking it vaginally, especially the morning one, it all just leaked out & was so messy. I know some EPU’s prefer one way over the other which is why I’m recommending to ask as it’s definitely easier to take rectally & just be able to forget about it for the rest of the day! Side effects wise it’s been fairly easy to take, definitely causes bloating & other pregnancy like symptoms but nothing too bad I don’t think. Good luck xxx

Tulip1112 · 17/04/2022 20:49

@speake thank you for your reply. I feel like there is nothing too grim to discuss with pregnancy!! I think you lose all sense of embarrassment when you get your internals and various examinations lol. That's really great advice. I'm calling them Tuesday and hoping they can get me in for week following as will be 6 weeks on the 26th. My GP was not supportive but luckily I found out the EPU will take me as a self referral as the registrar gave me the Cyclogest suggested advice after my 2nd loss. Just have to have implantation confirmed... really not looking forward to an internal scan. Not had good experiences so far. I'm so glad to hear yours is going well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers 💛 x x x

flowergarden16 · 17/04/2022 20:54

Hi @Tulip1112

I also had a MMC in December and around 8 weeks now. Have a scan on Friday, terrified in all honesty. Had a good a positive scan two weeks ago.

I'm also on cyclogest as had early bleeding in this pregnancy (he says after I got a positive test). Agree with @speake advice!

Good luck x

Tulip1112 · 18/04/2022 07:16

@flowergarden16 I empathise with you and will keep you in my thoughts. I hope one day all of this will be worth it 🌈💛always here if you want to chat and thank you for the advice. Let us know how the scan goes? X x

scoutcat · 18/04/2022 09:45

I am finally covid free ready for my scan tomorrow morning! I'm soooo excited but there is that thought in the back of my head that says "what if something's gone wrong?"

I'm hoping to see a heartbeat as I think I'm technically 8 weeks, but it's probably more like 7 going by ovulation.

Just today to get through! I'm currently struggling to eat a bacon sandwich my husband has made for me. 🤢 The thought makes me feel nauseous so I think that's a good sign!

Norberta · 18/04/2022 12:43

Good luck tomorrow @scoutcat.

Anyone else been getting cramping? I hadn’t until today and then suddenly I’ve had some pretty strong ones for the last hour or so. I had a healthy scan yesterday so I’m not too worried but it’s quite full on. Hoping it’s just stretching….

arianasky · 18/04/2022 13:09

@scoutcat amazing news about COVID good luck tomorrow lovely 💕

@Norberta yeah me I'm 8+4 today and Saturday I started getting slight cramps out of nowhere around uterus area I'm hoping it's just stretching or placenta bedding in or something my nerves are through the roof 😬😔

Bridgey8 · 18/04/2022 13:33

I'm a cyclogest up the bummer.... my final week as they said to stop on completion of week 16. Petrified of stopping as have it in my head it's the only thing that's kept me pregnant.

New dream last night. Ashley Banjo was being really horrible to me. Which is a shame as I love him.

Norberta · 18/04/2022 13:40

@arianasky I’m sure it’s nothing. Mine have eased off now but I had to have my husband pull the car over on the motorway for me to go to the loo as I was so worried!! Anyway another day another stress I suppose. I’m also 8 weeks so maybe it’s just something that happens at this stage.

Skl2021 · 18/04/2022 16:23

@Bridgey8 cyclogest up the bummer 🙊🤣🤣 did u manage to get a scan before u went? Xx

flowergarden16 · 18/04/2022 16:44

Good luck @scoutcat fingers crossed for you

I got home from hols to my appt date for booking and 12 week scan. Feel sick a little both of them

calimc83 · 18/04/2022 16:54

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter 🐣 xx for those of you who have had early scans. How did the dating go? I'm still umming and ahing whether to book one. I'm scared if I go for one they'll tell me I'm 2 weeks behind my EDD, and that'll panic me...( I know I definitely didn't conceive at the start of AF)...argh. Just wondering how they dated you at early scans?? Xx

arianasky · 18/04/2022 17:00

@Norberta I'm guessing it's just an 8 week thing like you said

@calimc83 I had my first scan at EPU at what I thought was 6+3 but 7 weeks by LMP and they measured my 5-6 weeks with a gestational and yolk sac but no fetal pole they weren't concerned at all and booked another for 10 days time ( I cried in EPU I thought I was going to miscarry but they reassured me and told me that that's so normal ) I Thursday I went and measured 7+3 but thought I was 7+6 from O so baby had caught up and they said I probably was 8 weeks but it's hard to measure dead on so early as it can be 5 days out either way so it didn't worry me, heartbeat was strong that was the main thing 💕

Bridgey8 · 18/04/2022 17:02

@Skl2021 no I was seen by triage - they found a strong heartbeat - checked my cervix and all closed and no bleeding in canal so they were happy with that. Just said I had to take my notes and if I bleed ring them on the 24/7 line and they will assess if I need to get checked at hospital here. Fingers crossed I won't tho! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 18/04/2022 17:16

Hi ladies hope you’re all ok! Just checking back in because I’ve not been on for a while!

@calimc83 I’ve had 2 early scans, one at 7 weeks and one at 9 weeks (last Tuesday). I thought they were sooo reassuring I literally couldn’t recommend getting one more! As soon as I saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks my anxiety dropped massively! The growth from 7 to 9 weeks was insane and little babe was jumping about, I couldn’t believe it! I think mine measure pretty much to where I think I am from ovulation, because my LMP was a CP so I thought it’d be massively out and make me worry but as long as you think you know roughly when you ovulated I think you’ll be absolutely fine! Xx

Skl2021 · 18/04/2022 18:02

@scoutcat good luck tomorrow 💕 xx

@calimc83 I had scan at 7 weeks and I should have been over 8 easily. Can't remember exact days but it was about 10 days out. But then I was a week ahead at 12 weeks 🙈 I think like everyone else has said it's so small and the dates can differ on different machines

Skl2021 · 18/04/2022 18:05

@Bridgey8 aww that's great news that they seen you and everything was ok! Yes fingers crossed u won't need too 🤞 I'm getting very anxious again as I get nearer to scan. I'm absolutely dreading it now. Just want to feel movements 😩 xx

Lou2022 · 18/04/2022 19:45

Hey all do you mind if I jump on. Currently 9 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy. 1st pregnancy in 2020 I had my daughter, 2nd pregnancy ended in MMC in October- stopped growing at 6 weeks but didn't have confirmation until 10 weeks. I had an early scan last week and was so relieved it went well but almost immediately after I'm anxious again. I've not been vomitting over the bank holiday which is making me anxious but then I'm wondering if its because I'm resting more not being in work so being able to nap? Trying to resist the urge to book another early scan but it's so hard!
