So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@MiaSparkle YEEEEEEEEEE!!

I have to go to sleep now, though. It's almost 4 in the morning here and the nausea isn't killing me. Thanks you guys for talking to me!!

BuchananBaby · 06/04/2022 08:54

@MiaSparkle is it a call with the GP or midwife? If it's the midwife it will likely be your booking appointment where they ask you loads of questions if it's with the GP I'm not sure. Where I am the GP isn't interested you just self refer to the midwife 🙂

@looloo123456 have a good sleep 🥰

MiaSparkle · 06/04/2022 09:05

@BuchananBaby I don't know I'm guessing the Gp because she asked how far I am and said I can't book in anything till I'm 6 weeks or something like that. I was thinking to phone doctors today and just ask what exactly is it and can I book midwife

FlowerJ · 06/04/2022 09:11

Just catching up!

@bbno2 They have such a lovely relationship, they get on 90% of the time and she was so excited when I was pregnant. I've not told them about this baby yet. Enjoy your holiday!

@Laughingmole Ahhhhh tiny baby Xmas outfits 😍😍 We won't need to buy much tbh. I saved clothes from both previous pregnancies and still have our pram, swing etc from my 2 year old.

@Mamabof2 Welcome and congrats 😀 It's no.3 for us too!

@ceho88 I was just about to say the same thing to @littlecontis. I had no symptoms with my 1st (DD), shes now a happy 8 year old. No nausea, no sore boobs. The only symptom I had was a lack of appetite which then in turn made me feel faint. That was it. I genuinely didn't feel pregnant until I started to show at 20 weeks lol

@lovesT Yes I keep having hot flushes! I'm a naturally cold person so feeling warm is such a weird thing for me 😂

bbno2 · 06/04/2022 09:21

I don't really have many symptoms tbh either. Sore boobs have waned now, and I otherwise feel pretty "normal". I think this was the same with my DD but I actually can't remember well! I read a statistic this morning that at 5 weeks pregnant, 50% of women report no pregnancy symptoms. At 8 weeks pregnant, 10% of women report no symptoms.

My SIL had a cryptic pregnancy! She found out at 25 weeks as she went to the GP for constipation. They did a scan to check for bowel blockage and found my niece! She had no symptoms with her second pregnancy either at any point.

It is a worrying time in early pregnancy. We'll all feel a bit relieved when we get those 12w scans, and then, if I'm like I was last time, I'll still be a bit nervous until I start feeling movement (which wasn't until around 16w).

Mamabof2 · 06/04/2022 09:23

@FlowerJ congratulations! How old are your other 2?! Mine will be 12 and 4 so I'm feeling a bit out the loop. Not sure I even saved any baby stuff in the loft!

I just have to self refer to midwife and then a phone call with midwife to book in in a few weeks time.

bbno2 · 06/04/2022 09:24

@looloo123456 - I'm the opposite of a teenager - I am 37 so feeling like a properly old mum! My only advice would be make sure you have someone to support you - be that your mum, your bf or your best friend.
Smile
Have you told anyone you know IRL?

5manc · 06/04/2022 09:28

@MiaSparkle with the clear blue tests, they count the weeks from ovulation instead of your period so 2-3 weeks on a CB would be 4-5 weeks pregnant - hopefully that helps 😊 xx

MiaSparkle · 06/04/2022 09:41

@5manc okay thank you !! Im thinking to book in for reassurance scan on the 7 week, im thinking should I just risk it and do it for 2 weeks time so at least then I can do it, I also have the Flo app(not sure if anyone uses it) but i think I should change it to 5 weeks just so I can follow my pregnancy xx

FlowerJ · 06/04/2022 09:52

@Mamabof2 Thank you! My two are 8 and 2, I know how you feel, that's how I felt with my last baby although I'm a hoarder so had kept lots of stuff 😂 What do you have already? I have one of each.

Bethyboo97 · 06/04/2022 10:12

@bobduncan, I'm exactly the same as you! Due the 12th and not really having many sypmtoms, such an exciting but nervous time though ☺️

Haxeri · 06/04/2022 10:21

Possible trigger warning, but funny safe outcome/

I just went to the loo, finished and saw a lot of bright red blood in the bowl, and had an absolute panic attack. Until I remembered that literally 30 seconds before I had blown my nose and had a minor nose bleed and tossed the tissue in the loo before I sat down. I swear it's too early in pregnancy to be getting baby brain!

BuchananBaby · 06/04/2022 11:14

Aww @Haxeri I would have panicked too 🙈 yeah baby brain can definitely start that early and apparently it never goes away according to my MIL 🙈😂😂

TheFantastic7 · 06/04/2022 11:52

@looloo123456 I fell pregnant with my first at just 15, please message/ask on here for any advice. It will be limited as I see your in America, do you live at home with parents? First and foremost you need to get a test, a homemade one isnt going to be reliable. Id suggest asking your mum/trusted family member to buy you one and go from there x

TheFantastic7 · 06/04/2022 11:55

@Haxeri hahaha baby brain really is a thing from the get go! Half an hour it took me this morning to find the sugar, I'd put it in the fridge with the milk after making DCs breakfastsBlush

PinkFizz1 · 06/04/2022 12:07

I’ve booked a private early scan for when I’ll be just over 7wks as I’m really struggling with the anxiety/constant worry that something is going to go wrong Sad

I am always worrying when I’m going to the toilet that there’ll be blood or something. I know it’s not good to be so anxious, but I just can’t help it. Sad

I was going to get some more clear blue to see if I can get the 3+ this weekend but now I’m worrying what if it goes back down to 1-2 or what if my FRERs are lighter etc, I don’t know what to do for the best Sad

Nutella99 · 06/04/2022 12:20

@PinkFizz1 I've also booked a 7 week early scan. 12 weeks until the proper one just seems like such a long time to wait.

In terms of testing, if they do get lighter then at least you'd know?

I was sent this amazing link the other day which has really helped me - it gives you probabilities of how likely things are to be ok: datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer

Mommabear20 · 06/04/2022 12:23

Is it too early for cravings?? I never had any with my other two but I can't stop thinking about McDonald's cheese burgers! 🤣🤣 if it wouldn't have woken the kids up I would have ordered Uber eats at midnight last night 😂

Welcome to all you new mamas! I feel like this last week has flown by!

PinkFizz1 · 06/04/2022 12:29

@Nutella99 WOW! I clicked on that not really expecting much but omg that is so reassuring, I am keeping that open for when my mind starts going into overdrive (probably in about 5 minutes Hmm )

Thanks so much for sharing that link.

I'm not sure but I am the same! But with chips, cheese and gravy!! @PinkFizz1 I completely understand your anxiety, I had 2 MCs last year and they broke me, I'm constantly going to the toilet to check there's no blood. Also booked a private scan for when I'll be 9 weeks (can do it from 7 weeks but I was scared that it would be too early to see anything and I'd end up worse for it) big handhold, a lot of us are nervousFlowers
BuchananBaby · 06/04/2022 12:47

@PinkFizz1 I totally understand work up this morning with this feeling of impending doom when I've been so positive this far but I feel a bit more reassured because I feel rubbish (sore head, sore boobs and nauseous). Feeling quite guilty though because I'm off and myself and DD are still in pj's and I can't be bothered getting us ready and out the house 🙈

Amphibian94 · 06/04/2022 12:55

Hi everyone... hoping I can join you ladies.

I'm 5w4d but having had 4 previous mc finding it really hard to be excited and I'm so nervous. Anyone in the same boat? I'm due around Dec 3rd and really hoping this will be a sticky bean 🤞🏼❤. Been wanting to join the thread for a while but felt to scared to! Hoping I can stay and see all our Christmas miracles x

December22NewMomma · 06/04/2022 13:10

@littlecontis that’s such a strong positive! I don’t blame you for booking an early scan though

Charl1247 · 06/04/2022 13:46

Hi Everyone,
I took a digital test this morning and got 3+ last weeks was 2-3 so I'm happy to see it's increased. I feel like I have been getting bloated, twinges and stomach tightness but the last two days it seems to of died down. Has anyone else experienced this ?

bbno2 · 06/04/2022 13:54

@Charl1247 - yes, I had had some mild implantation type cramping and bloating - that's stopped and today I feel like I have no symptoms.
Fairly sure that happened when I was expecting my DD so I'm not too worried.

I did however have a really weird vivid dream last night, and insane dreams were one of my main pregnancy symptoms last time too. The pregnancy dreams are so so so weird!!!
