I'm 43 my husband is 50. He has anti sperm antibodies. We tried ivf and icsi a few years ago but no luck. We adopted two kids and we are a happy family of four. The kids are in their teens.

Haven't had a period since november presumed menopause. Just to tile it out ive done a pregnancy test. You can guess the rest.

How many of these are
False positives with the menopause etc

My grandma was 49 when she had my mum. Herr older brothers and sisters already had children so my cousins are years older than me. My sister was born when I was 15 and my mum was 41. Good luck.

Congratulations!
You're younger than I was when I was pg with no.2 - he was born when I was 45!
Extra precautions - well, I was more closely monitored because of my age and I was induced at 39w (they tried for 38 but I didn't want to go that early, since my first was induced at 42w). I am in Australia though (wasn't for no.1) so that may have affected things - I went with a private obstetrician because I also have a blood clotting disorder and needed to be on anti-coagulants, so just really couldn't be arsed with having to tell the same story to multiple different staff at the mat unit. It helped me massively having the same obstetrician the whole way through, but he did scans every few weeks, and sent me for THREE glucose tolerance tests (and the TORCH tests) because I had polyhydramnios. No apparent reason and I didn't have gestational diabetes, but the care was taken, Just In Case.
Apart from that I don't think there were any other major "extras" that were involved because of my age - it's not that uncommon.

I wish you all the luck and joy in the world with your pregnancy!
