I'm 43 my husband is 50. He has anti sperm antibodies. We tried ivf and icsi a few years ago but no luck. We adopted two kids and we are a happy family of four. The kids are in their teens.

Haven't had a period since november presumed menopause. Just to tile it out ive done a pregnancy test. You can guess the rest.

How many of these are
False positives with the menopause etc

Congratulations.

I had to comment because it is so similar to my parents. They had long since given up on being able to have children - they chose not to adopt and fertility treatment then was in its very early stages.

They were together for twenty years before my mum suddenly fell pregnant at the same age as you.

It was an enormous shock but I was born healthy from a normal textbook pregnancy.

Just a quick update.

We had our dating scan today. I’m 13
weeks exactly and everything is looking good. NT was measuring at 2.1 so well within the range. Fingers crossed for the screening results.

I think it’s finally sunk in now, we are so exited and the kids are really looking forward to it.

i still have to pinch myself to believe that yes me I’m pregnant, after all these years!
