@Minster2012 🤣 So many things I'm like that with- meh, I'll see how I go and deal with it later. I don't know what's going on and maybe never will!
@feliznavidad2 good nightie find. And crap with the thrush!
@Juno231 your scan seems forever away! And yes I'd be worried about covid/holiday too. As I think getting both there and back without getting it, would be a miracle right now. Just make sure you have insurance as someone else said, in case it does cause any delays.
@kaylsd I'm shocked they allowed you to go for the scan. My hospital are really strict. Pleased everything is OK though. The placenta- yes it means you have to have a c section if it stays there. But if it's only partial then it could well have moved before birth and not be an issue at all. So I wouldn't worry about it. I had a friend who it happened 2 with both her children and it was right at the bottom both times. Just one of those things.
@bez91 I dunno i think it's more just that I don't want to have 1000 things to do after birth! So having it done before makes sense. No one seems to care though and my joiner is like oh you want it done by June? Well no, really it needs doing like tomorrow. 🤦‍♀️ Because leaving me a month only to paint skirting, other woodwork, and decorating is not bloody ideal. Also leaving me with no stair banister for 2 months so I can break my neck is also not ideal. I mean really? 🤔
@DKDK123 I don't feel too bad to be honest. I had 1 day of feeling achy which wasn't nice but the rest has been like a mild cold. Not even that. I feel slightly blocked up (like you get pre cold) but its not actually developing into anything? So I don't know. I'm just tired because I'm not sleeping, so that's not helping. 😡 And yes vinted is like that! 🤣 Some sellers offer more discount the more you buy, and it makes sense to get more for your money re postage. Yesterday I bought 2 baby outfits I don't need, in addition to the muslins I was actually buying. 🤭 Good on the child free afternoon! 🥳

Baby is still preferring bed times for dancing. And we wonder why they won't sleep at night once born. 🧐🤣
I have never thought to look before but today I did and I can actually see the stronger movements from the outside! Not just feel them. Which is very very odd....... I still can't get my head around being pregnant. 🤣

Minster2012 · 31/03/2022 11:15

@paintfairy I often stare at my tummy cos the feeling is so weird!! also, bearing in mind I'm still over 7 weeks away from DD I can confirm ALL I want to do is procrastinate, eat, have a bath or sleep, not painting skirting or banisters definitely!

@kaylsd that's excellent all is well...so pleased...yes same as others have said most times it moves out of the way so not a problem

@Kate105 it's funny cos I was looking at my one "newborn" bottle yesterday and it's 60ml so I thought god that's not a lot at all! Ahhhhh the weeing everywhere, we were foul to that a number of times so I'd take that with the sleeping through, come on PTSD 😊

@DKDK123 so pleased DH has sorted a chill afternoon for you, I def think you need to just slow down & relax a bit but I know it's also hard

larrythelizard · 31/03/2022 12:10

Thanks for checking in @feliznavidad2 - wiped out with a migraine yesterday which is a not a surprise given the lack of food/dehydration Sunday/Monday!

Feeling mainly better today although DS is at home today so having to work in shifts. Heartburn is back - I assume all the 🤮 stripped away the build up of omerzerprole (or whatever it's called) but had to cancel our anniversary dinner tomorrow night so maybe that's just as well as I don't know how much I'd enjoy it this week!

Sorry to hear Covid is kicking your arse @kaylsd - hope you're on the way back up now. Pic is lovely 😍 - still team yellow then?!

Argh more Covid @paintfairy is it spreading through MN?! Hope you remain mild!

No @bez91 you deffo do not need to paint the fence, and @DKDK123 you just need to rest up whilst you haven't got DS this afternoon.

It's mad how little their tummies start off isn't it @Minster2012?! I'd be fuming re not being involved in the wallpaper decision too but at least the wallpaper is OK. Will they be putting it up for you too?!

@feliznavidad2 wow that's a whole bundle of stuff, get someone to get you some canestan in. I hate thrush!

@Lexber laughed at your baby on each tit 😂

Deffo annoying to have to wait another week @Juno231 - I'm finding it a very very long wait too - Monday for me.

Ah you win some you lose some @Kate105!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 31/03/2022 12:38

@Minster2012 oh yes- I would be unhappy about the wallpaper decision too! I'm sure its my house.....
@larrythelizard sorry you aren't feeling great. That's rubbish.

I've been proactive and chased the hospital. Letter only went out yesterday apparently but I do have an appointment with the consultant coming up. Yay.
I've also called the GP and booked in my whooping cough vaccine for 19 April. That's the earliest they could do! Think that's fine though, I'm 23 weeks now, so it'll still be before 30.

I was also looking at our hospital rules. We are still only allowed 1 birth partner (fine by me) unless you have special circumstances, and you can request 2. But after birth you are only allowed 1 birth partner for visiting and even then it's only 2 hours a day. I'm really hoping I don't have to stay in, as so many people say its was a struggle with lack of staff, a baby, and no husband help! Maybe they'll change it by July. Every hospital seems to have different rules though? 🤷‍♀️

kaylsd · 31/03/2022 13:20

brings antibacterial wipe for every post placed mentioning covid gosh we are all getting struck down with it aren’t we? :( @paintfairy hopefully you feel better soon! It's making it's rounds with so many right now :(

@lexber thank you for the reassurance I actually feel fine with the idea of what will be will be kind of things because it’s out of my hands anyway! I’ve had a bleed scare this week which is likely linked towards the placenta now from coughing lots with covid I’m presuming placing strain no doubt luckily the coughs disappeared now! So glad that twin 1 managed to get into position perfectly for you in the end 😘
@dkdk123 I can imagine a little bub being in your womb thinking or what a lovely cushion this is to bounce up on being your fibroid 🤣🤣 little tinkers! I’ve had a bleed scare this week from strenuous coughing so Hoping it’s not the start of things to come but so reassuring to hear your story with it all 😘 I hope you enjoy your child free afternoon sweetpea! Resting sounds the better option than the housework if you ask my stance :)
@paintfairy there’s a allocated ultrasound room for covid positive people at my trust so ensure scans aren’t getting moved on / cancelled so I was just there instead of the antenatal department but still was lovely sonographer so I guess I’m quite lucky with my trust running like that? I know it varies across the board like everything else 🙈
@minster2012 thank you darling 😘 hope your well, have you started nesting yet missus? When I see the list who’s due it makes me exited how your turn will soon be here!
@larrythelizard very much team yellow! DH was in the corner saying to the ladies scanning whilst she’s out for a wee you don’t fancy showing me do you 🤣🤣🤣 they started laughing at him! Thank you :) I think they may be following in DH side of the family with a button nose going off the pictures but only time will tell!
@juno231 I hope your alright too hunny? I can’t believe you’ve got to wait to nearly 22 weeks for your scan! Can you ring for cancellations?
@feliznavidad2 those nighties look comfy I may have to purchase, I hope your okay :)

All settled from the scan and just received our home delivery for Asda with plenty of supplies including tissues which are a godsend right now 🤧 I cannot believe the snow right now had to set off a hour n half early before scan incase traffics bad as the hospitals on a hill! I’ve missed my mums 60th birthday and Mother’s Day from having covid, wish the virus would just disappear but I know the chances of that is slim 🙄, can’t even order any more lateral flow tests as there’s no delivery slots yesterday and today I think people are doing it before they have to pay tomorrow 🙈😩 thank you for all your support ladies and a check in even though I’ve been wiped out really to do much! Hopefully I’ll perk up soon it’s the draining bit what’s the worse, can’t even have energy drinks to perk me up 🙈🙈 all my love ladies ❤️

Lexber · 31/03/2022 15:05

Oh @DKDK123 def listen to your body and rest, I'm so glad you got a child free but if time to just relax! As hard as it is - ignore everything else and rest! (I say not taking my own advice half the time...)

@Kate105 after only being used to girls I think I'm going to have to prepare myself for the random wee episodes - I've heard they're like little fountains 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

@paintfairy I sometimes watch my stomach in awe that there is a baby in there moving let alone 2 and I'm 34 weeks now! Some
Days I actually forget I'm Pregnant until I move or they do and suddenly I'm Like "oh crap" 🤣🤣

@Minster2012 I am Smashing procrastination today... wfh and done naff all really! My mate called round for a coffee and then fetched us a KFC for lunch as I really fancied hot wings and gravy 🤣

It's my last day at work tomorrow 😬😳

@larrythelizard I think my first few weeks will consist of me on a sofa with my tits out 🤣 maybe not invite the FiL over ... haha my poor dad will not know what to do with himself bless him!
But I'm so hopeful I'm attempting to BF this time (it will save me a bloody fortune as looking 2/3 tins of milk a week with twins!!) but I'm also not putting any pressure on myself and have everything ready to express and/or bottle feed too - talk about being prepared!

You just reminded me @paintfairy I need to enquire about the situation of birth and postnatal at our hospital as I've not even asked yet. I know if they go to SCBU then me and OH can visit as often as we like as long as we like at any time day or night but if/when (more likely as 2) I'm on the ward before (if induced)and after birth I've no idea! I'd hope he can visit as with 2 I will need the help and support especially if I end up with an Emergency section - he is still head down as of Monday 🤞🏼 so hopefully I get to go vaginally as recovery afterwards would be so much easier for me personally. But I'm prepared to do whatever is best for the babies at the time.

Vil10 · 31/03/2022 15:28

@2020mission that's great Thankyou!! I just want to make a note of brands of things that I'm not sure on so when it comes to it I'm not faffing around trying to find the best one!!

@Kate105 hahahaha highly efficient milk cow, you go girl😂

@Minster2012 ohhh ffs that's fallen on a rubbish day hasnt it!! We had snow too!! Today is a weird one, sunny but freezing with intervals of snow and sleet??

@paintfairy hahaha very true! Sorry you're not sleeping, I had a rubbish sleep last night too, woke up 3 times for a wee then spent the next hour thinking of paint in the new house🙄

@feliznavidad2 you're really having a bad time of it aren't you!! I think I had thrush the other week, natural remedy of aloe straight from the plant and natural yoghurt!

@Juno231 pain in the arse that your scan is still a week away! But it'll hopefully go quick!! Do you have to test before you go away? Also completely understand the frustrating with the house stuff, that was like us when we sold ours trying to find a new one then we found out I was pregnant and every house we saw got snapped up before we even got chance to view it!! Like others have said could you maybe ring all local estate agents, brief them on what you're looking for, budget etc and express your need! Hopefully they can help🤞🏼

@Franklydear glad af has finished for you! And bonus and on the bigger boobs!

@bez91 Hahahaha that literally sounds like me, pointless stuff that nobody would look at😂 I'll take your advice and try and not worry about minor things though! I hope we are in by April, then weve got our little break booked so will be nice to recharge!

@kaylsd so glad your scan went well and look at that pic!! Beautiful! And like the others have said, hopefully your placenta has time to move and you'll be able to have the birth you want🤞🏼❤️

@DKDK123 I think that's the kinda thing I'm expecting, it seems like different places do things differently, it's very confusing!! Hahahaha dropping the liquid gold😂 the poking of the belly felt a little like that yesterday, a couple time whilst I was eating my dinner, jusr had flutters again today! Hahaha maybe that should be her middle name??😂 you definitely deserve the rest, listen to your body!!

@paintfairy I'm confused with our hospital rules too! A girl who's going in for a section posted about it the other day and someone who works at the hospital said we're allowed 2 birth partners but 1 has to leave pretty much straight after then if you stay in you can only have the same visitor everyday but visiting hours are 11am-11pm, so better than some places! I hope the 2 birth partners is right because I'd really like my mum there too! I can't believe your visiting hours are only 2 hours, how unfair on partners!!

So is anyone a farrow and ball paint fanatic here?? I saw @Juno231 had liked some of their posts on insta so maybe you can help me! In our new house our bedroom has fitted wardrobes which are great and only done 3 years ago so still pretty modern and excellent condition but we want to change the colour, I was going to do it myself but there's quite a few and the whole process is just so time consuming when we could be spending that time sorting out the rest of the house, so getting someone to come and spray them whilst doing the upvc windows, front door and garage door! I want to get a farrow and ball paint matched, a neutral/beige colour, but not sure what to go for???

Minster2012 · 31/03/2022 15:30

Wiping everything down with @kaylsd's anti bacterial wipe 😂I've def started nesting, the baby's room is painted & furniture in I'm just waiting on my mum making blinds & then a few decorative bits, clothes are in drawers & changing unit in our room ready

Ooooo you've got your scan Monday @larrythelizard so you and @Juno231 are close together DD wise then (I've not checked tbh apologies), and yes my parents have said they will put up the paper otherwise I'd just flatly refuse until the actual house building was done 😂

@paintfairy that's very productive good job 👏🏻and I was thinking the same as you guys the other day thinking I've no idea where the actual birthing unit is or where you go for c sections & any more info basically on what to do in case I bloody go into labour 😂it's all a blur @Lexber and that's a very productive second to last day I think.

I got this through the post, seems they know I might need tena pants soon 😂I'm assuming from the older former owner the address has been used before but it's quite appropriate now it seems 🤔

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
DKDK123 · 31/03/2022 16:20

@Kate105 at least the wee didn't hit you on the face, DH got caught out with that once 😂 Wait till the real toddler potty training begins, that's definitely eventful with wee. I remember catching DS standing on our window ledge holding his willy peeing on the window shouting "quick there's a fire, put it out!" Never thought I'd have to have a 'your penis is not to be used as a fire hose' chat 🙈

@larrythelizard hopefully you get to have a belated anniversary dinner once you're feeling better. When you can definitely get the heartburn meds back in you, I came off mine for a few days as I was feeling good. Then woke up actually chocking in my sleep one night as i must have wiggled down the bed a bit so i was sleeping off my pillow and on my back and the acid had managed to come right up my throat when I was lying down and I couldn't breathe it was choking me. It must only have lasted about 30-40seconds but it felt like a lifetime of being unable to breathe and I genuinely thought I was going to die as I couldn't get any air to go down my throat at all. Worse than any asthma attack I've ever had! So yea I'm back to taking the tablets even if I feel fine now!

@paintfairy thanks for reminding me to check what the visiting is for partners after birth at mine. When I was in the other night I saw a sign up saying only 1 birth partner allowed on the ward and once checked in the birth partner isn't allowed out of the ward to go to the shop downstairs or to go for a cigarette, if they leave the ward there'll be no readmittance. So I need to make sure to pack snacks for DH too as he was planning on just going to the shop downstairs while I was in theatre to pass the time (he won't be allowed in with me as I'll be under general). But it didn't occur to me to think about what the visiting rules for partners would be after baby's born.

@lexber sounds like a great day of 'work' 😂 Last day tomorrow, they can't be expecting much out of you this week anyways.

Well you'll be glad to know ladies I've literally rested all day, kept having an internal battle about wanting to get on with all the jobs that need doing but reminded myself I have the hospital again on Monday and if I want to avoid being kept in then resting as much as I can is my best bet! I even managed a 2 hour nap, with DS around I don't get the chance to nap during the day so it was a great, and much needed novelty. Then I sat and read a book and then listened to some podcasts. Definitely feel the better of it, alas now back to mum duties and need to start thinking about getting the dinner on but the rest was amazing while it lasted 😁

larrythelizard · 31/03/2022 18:02

Ha can you imagine if they'd told him @kaylsd?! Did they take bloods after your scan? Mine is Monday and wasn't sure if they do at this one too or if the 12 week bloods were part of the screening?

You'd hope they have different rules for multiples @Lexber! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 for an easy vaginal birth and a quick discharge without need for SCBU or anything! WHOOP for last day at work!!!

No idea on paint @Vil10 - I'm always amazed at the threads on MN discussing paint colours in depth, maybe ask them?

Exciting you've got someone booked in to do the work @Juno231 - we still haven't managed to even get anyone come round to quote - just as well we're in no rush!

Im the last of the summer babies @Minster2012 (by due date at least) - I think @kaylsd and me are the closest

Well done @DKDK123, I'm proud of your inactivity, just what the MN bus ordered! It seemed to take the heartburn meds about a week to take effect so it'll just be a case of keep going and they'll kick back in. Anniversary meal can wait, it's our fault we had to cancel as we passed on the sick bug to the babysitters 😬

Nursery is back open tomorrow thank goodness, today has been hard working in shifts!!

2020mission · 31/03/2022 18:41

I hope you ladies get a better deal with visitors and birth partners now! I was all right but I did have the first half of labour alone as I was induced and my husband was away from 8pm until 2am when I went from labour starting to 5cm. He got to visit us twice a day for 2 hours at a time for the next 4 nights while I was in. Don't think it was nice for him to go home and leave us. I could have really done with him there when the doctor came and told me I needed more blood transfusions too when I was under the impression I was going to get discharged that day. Sat alone in tears afterwards as the hormones were all over the place at the time and I just wanted to go home.

Can't believe it's only a month now until more bus babies are coming... exciting!

Kate105 · 31/03/2022 19:13

Oh you are in for a great @Lexber 😂😂😂 all I will say is point that shit down or wear full PPE...! Enjoy your last day at work tomorrow!

That's similar to what we had @paintfairy but it was absolutely fine! We have 1 visitor (birth partner) for 1h in the am and 1h in the pm on the ante/postnatal wards, no limit to stay when in labour ward. I had a 5 day stay thanks to the induction/section, so 1 day on antenatal and 2 days on the postnatal either side of actually producing PTSD. But honestly I just entertained myself on the antenatal ward with Netflix on the iPad etc because I'd been warned I could be in for a while with the induction. And then once you've actually had the sprog you're too busy to mind! Plus the midwives never leave you alone 😂 they always have something they need to check!

Also like @DKDK123 said beware of the "you can't leave once you're on labour ward" rule. We got massively caught out without snacks because H missed hospital dinner time (sidebar, who wants to eat their tea at 5pm?!) and he wasn't allowed out to the canteen. We had to phone my mum and get her to drop sandwiches at the door, bless her!

😂😂😂 @DKDK123 something to look forward to...!

Franklydear · 31/03/2022 19:53

@Lexber let me introduce you to the Willy teepee, I just used a muslim but make sure to put something there or you might get an unusually unpleasant shower

bez91 · 31/03/2022 19:54

Brilliant news @kaylsd 🥰 great your trust have a sensible policy too so you didn't have to move your appointment. I'm sure the placenta will move in time like others have said, still loadssss of time and good to know that can make bleeding normal

Hope everyone is the covid crew is ok, I've lost track of everyone who has it at the moment 🤦🏼‍♀️

@paintfairy every hospital varies, the consistency is really poor! @Lexber I asked my MW at the QP base a couple of weeks ago about birthing partners and if they can come to ward after etc - she must always be community based because she basically said she has no idea so if you find out let me know 😂

@DKDK123 happy to read you had a chilled one! Remind me when you're finishing work again? 4 weeks tomorrow is my last day 🥳

@larrythelizard bummer on the anniversary meal but you might just have to take a win and respite from nursery reopening tomorrow instead ☺️ it's bloody hard work tag teaming working from home with a small child.

Realised I should have a growth scan next week and not received one, they're usually pretty quick so rang them up and they managed to fit me in for Thursday next week. The scanxiety is still a thing, it's bonkers 🤯 think I'm just hoping their growth is still on an even keel and hopefully get some idea of induction plan

InkyPaper · 31/03/2022 20:05

@Minster2012 thanks for explaining the percentile thing! I was getting so confused with it 😂🙈

@Kate105 he slept through the night! Woooop!! Haha what is it with little boys and peeing everywhere?! My nephew did something like that the other week (he's 4.5 months)

@feliznavidad2 you are seriously going through at the minute! Hope you're feeling a little better now

@kaylsd glad your scan went well 😊 what will be will be is a great attitude to have, I reckon. Fingers crossed your placenta does shift up

@larrythelizard hope the omeprazole kicks in again sharpish for you, heartburn is no fun

@DKDK123 that sounds like a horrible way to wake up!! Glad you got a day of rest!

@paintfairy with any luck the rules will change a bit by July, 2 hours seems like nothing at all in the grand scheme of things. It really doesn't help that every trust seems to have different rules.

I had a call from the midwife today! 🙌 She told me that she only just managed to squeeze in my booking appointment before I hit 12 weeks because she's booked me in at a health centre about 20 mins drive from my house - usually I'd be at the one that's 10 mins away. Either way, it's in and I'll be seeing them on 13th April. She seemed to think I'm further along than I am but the phone line was bad so I'm gonna have to explain the IVF stuff when I see them, I think. Feeling absolutely shattered today, ended up napping after work and my brain has turned to Swiss cheese! Managed to order a smaller pack of mince on my Tesco shop than I wanted and somehow booked the delivery for the wrong day?

Wishing everyone with covid a speedy recovery!

2020mission · 31/03/2022 20:38

@Franklydear Matthew seems to manage to pee on his own face rather than us when he goes mid change 😅

Lexber · 31/03/2022 23:26

My last day at work Coincides with our Ukraine 🇺🇦 fundraiser day (I planned it well 😉) - babe sale from 10am, hospital appointment at 11.30 then back in time for the raffle at 2pm (hopefully) and bingo at 2.45... 🤣🤣
Minimal work will get done!

Very active babies tonight, even she is kicking hard down my lower stomach and I've no idea what he's been doing but I keep getting sharp pains in my vag!!

My mum is convinced they're coming tomorrow... it was my eldest due date 15 years ago, my stepdads dads birthday (who I never had the pleasure of meeting) and 2 years ago tomorrow just as lockdown had started we lost my beautiful nana (stepdads mum) who I was close with.
My mum said a few days earlier when we knew she was very poorly it'd be 1st as he'd come back for her on his birthday 💔 she was right... so now she's saying on her 2 year anniversary she's sending me 2 babies... 😳

Lexber · 31/03/2022 23:36

Thanks for the Willy tips ladies - after 2 girls and lots of nieces it's going to be an experience and I can't wait!!
Even more so have one of each at the same time - I'm still trying to mentally figure out how you look after 2 at the same time 🤣🤣❤️

@bez91 I will ask tomorrow if I get a chance and let you know. I'm hoping it's not minimal as if I'm induced I don't fancy spending hours/days on my own and OH will be a nervous wreck!!
When i had covid and had to be checked over they took me to a birthing room in the birth centre and OH was with me the whole time?
But then I've had mixed experiences when being monitored, when we went one evening we were the last there and he was waiting outside while I was on the monitor (he must have looked worried) so they brought him into the PAC room to be with me. Other times for appointments etc he's had to wait outside and can come in for the scan and consultant appointment only 🤷🏽‍♀️

Who's your MW @bez91? I was under Janine but then when she was on AL I got Cara who she job shared with and she them booked me in with her every time after that, she loved the fact it was twins lol and read gutted she is on AL next week so didn't book me for 35/36 with me seeing hospital so often and probably being induced at 36 but said she will keep looking for my name and when I go home do she can come see me at home and see the babies ❤️ which I thought was absolutely lovely.

feliznavidad2 · 01/04/2022 04:52

Managed to get some Clotrimazole pessaries after my v kind next door neighbour collected the prescription from the GP for me. 😅

Still feeling pretty rough here, only day 3/4 - DS is slowly coughing less, hoping for back to school Monday. 🤞🏻

How are you guys doing @paintfairy & @kaylsd ?

Glad you're improving now @larrythelizard x

Minster2012 · 01/04/2022 07:27

Morning ladies, date night last night so was munching nice food 😂

@DKDK123 so pleased you just rested, more of that please! But wait hold on are willys NOT allowed to be fire hoses?? Hmmm 🤔

@larrythelizard nursery yessssssss get him there 😂

@2020mission yeah that sounds really rough 😩, my friend is having to stay in today too (from c section Tuesday) and likely more too, I haven't found out yet how much her DH has been able to go in but hopefully will do

@Kate105 @Lexber always point the Willy down 😂or put something on it like @Franklydear says. my friend has just said to take ALLLLLL THE FOOD 🍱 I plan on basically taking a whole shop with me 😂

@bez91 it's good you realised, I've got mine all through including one for after due date!! So weird

@InkyPaper so when's your appointment then? You can explain at the time don't worry, and I'm laughing at the brain mush I have that constantly. I wondered why the food I put in the fridge earlier on was out the other day, I opened the fridge & there were 2 books in there instead 😂 brain fog is real

That last day today sounds great @Lexber! Enjoy! And I have to say I hope they stay in a bit longer for you than today xx

@feliznavidad2 here's to a better weekend and back to school Monday 🤞🏻that reminds me I need to pick up my omeprazole prescription as that said it was ready yesterday

Health visitor visit this morning. Can't remember what to expect, must make sure dogs walked & snoozing in their crate 😂

Franklydear · 01/04/2022 07:55

Preview of the Minecraft Steve blanket, yes, that is a king size bed, only the head and sky missing now😥
It's the only thing I have on right this minute, and I have a lot of pink wool, so if you want something, it's a good time to ask

Oh look, I am allowed pictures again

Really hoping COVID is on the way out for all of you, I really worry with covid in your 2nd and 3rd trimesters, I thought hospitals would be more normal now, but mine is still only one parent in pediatrics, and as he is nearly 12 I have to fight to go with him everywhere, but it helps that he starts screaming any time anyone says mummy will wait here😂

larrythelizard · 01/04/2022 08:33

Oh god I hadn't thought about visitors, got to assume things more normal by august?! I think for me it's one of the many 'things to worry about later', I've got quite the pile! @2020mission that sounds really tough on you and DH!

I think scanxiety for you is natural @bez91 as it's not as straightforward as it could be. Pleased you chased your appt up, good to keep an eye on bubs.

I think it's the absolute exhaustion in the first trimester that does it @InkyPaper! Yay for getting booking in appt booked, what about scan?

Enjoy your babe sale today @Lexber (I thought you'd keep them for a little bit before selling them but no judgement here...!) and hope your work mates spoil you. Eek I sort of hope they stay in for longer than today even though I'm excited for you!

Took me about 5/6 days to feel anywhere near normal @feliznavidad2 so hang in there. Pleased you've got a lovely neighbour to help with prescriptions.

@Minster2012 can't help you with HV visitor, they don't do pre-birth ones here - I assume it'll just be talking about safe places to sleep etc etc, you can wow her with the incredible bedroom!!

Lovely blanket @Franklydear even though I don't understand Minecraft, my niece and nephew are obsessed but it's a completely different language!

Posh Michelin starred dinner cancelled but assuming grandparents were OK overnight they will hopefully feel up to coming over and sitting at ours once DS goes to bed so we might get out for a first anniversary meal in a while tonight (lockdown the last 2 years has meant take aways only), less champagne tonight though I think!

@Lexber that sounds like a brilliant last day! Very well planned on your part 😉 it would be very spooky if they did turn up today - do you think they're likely to?

@feliznavidad2 hurray for lovely neighbours! Sucks you're still feeling so rotten, here's hoping that eases off soon

@Minster2012 it's 13th April, so I've got just under a fortnight to wait, not too bad. Haha I'm so glad it's not just me! Feel like I'm losing my mind! 😂

@Franklydear that blanket is looking awesome! 🤩
