Just setting this up so we can move all pregnancy-related stuff from the TTC after miscarriage thread.

I felt like that yesterday @arianasky and I'm still exhausted today. Spending most of my days working from my bed. Your journey tomorrow does not sound pleasant at all 🤢 Just take lots of snacks like crackers, fruit, sweets. Anything to just have little and often. Maybe a fizzy drink to try and settle your stomach too? I found some oat biscuits yesterday that are going down quite well and my new fruit of choice is strawberries 😂 Not sure how long that'll last though! How do you feel after your appointment?

@scoutcat ahh how lovely. Glad you feel relief and positivity!!

Xx

Fizzy haribo, if all else fails, is sometimes the only thing I can face..

barneymcgroo · 06/04/2022 12:39

@arianasky Good to be able to find something funny in all this - hope your mum did too! I remember a friend telling me about being sick with her second, being wedded to the loo and having her toddler repeatedly bash the loo seat on the back of her head. It's an image I conjour up occasionally for a smile...

Hope the trip goes well. Hopefully the sickness will stop soon. X

barneymcgroo · 06/04/2022 12:40

@flowergarden16 Yay, that's so lovely to hear!

barneymcgroo · 06/04/2022 12:41

Good luck @Bridgey8 - keeping fingers crossed for you. 🤞

Bridgey8 · 06/04/2022 12:42

Scan was fine - baby was wiggling around and very active. And haematoma deffo gone. Only thing I'm worried about is that it's only done 3-4 days growth in a week.... sonographer and nurse didn't seem worried but I'm obviously stressing! Different scanners/locations each time which I wonder if that plays a part x

Skl2021 · 06/04/2022 12:53

@Bridgey8 brill news and yes I think some machines are better than others hence the difference in days xx

flowergarden16 · 06/04/2022 13:30

Great news @Bridgey8 ! Yes I think at anything under 12 weeks (and even then) the measurements being off by a tiny amount can match different days. My doctor today who did my scan said it's really quite hard! She is a research fellow so knew her stuff. I'm sticking with trying hard to not stress if a medical professional hasn't told me too. But I'm also going to book an 8 and 10 week scan Confused

flowergarden16 · 06/04/2022 13:31

@Bridgey8 good news on the heamatoma. My blood had also gone which is good :-)

arianasky · 06/04/2022 13:32

@Cruz86 honestly today I'm in bed and I'm struggling to even think of food or drink, I'll definitely take all your advice though ladies. I'll be coming with a bag full of snacks with all the suggestions haha! Yeah I'm good thank you 💕

@barneymcgroo yeah my mum did laugh 😂 oh my gosh that is so funny haha! Your poor friend though 😂

calimc83 · 06/04/2022 13:46

@arianasky thinking of you on this tough day lovely xxx

arianasky · 06/04/2022 14:54

@calimc83 thank you lovely 💕

aesgriff · 06/04/2022 17:49

@arianasky super happy you’re scan went well 🥰 xx

@Bridgey8 I agree with the notion of different machines etc. Sooo hard not to worry though but for 3-4 days we’re talking mm’s and that’s so easy to be out or over on xx

@Skl2021 enjoy your holiday lovely! Xx

@flowergarden16 yay!! A heartbeat 💓 xx

@Cruz86 I dragged myself into work today and actually enjoyed it! I get so distracted I forget I’m pregnant 🤣 still got some brown bleed but I’m just pleased it’s no longer red. My 12 week scan is actually when I’m about 13 weeks and I think towards the end of April. Have you had yours yet? Xx

Cruz86 · 06/04/2022 19:05

@Bridgey8 glad your scan went well! I think there could definitely be discretion and at your stage, a slightly smaller growth wouldn't concern me as much as the early days (I say 😂). Just great that the haematoma has gone!

I've been in bed today too @arianasky, slept for 3 hours this afternoon! Have you managed to have dinner today? I'm not sure what to have and need inspiration 😆 I've had to get a big glass of Coke Zero to settle my stomach.

@aesgriff glad you managed to get into work and distract yourself today! I'm self employed so have me, myself and I to keep me company. Thank god your bleeding has calmed down somewhat. What an absolute nervous wreck you must be! And it's so hard to be told 'it's just one of those things'. How far are you now? I haven't had mine in the post yet but I would hope mine is the last week of April too!

Xx

arianasky · 06/04/2022 19:12

@Cruz86 no I haven't, I had some crackers and I've kept them down so that's something at least 😂

Cruz86 · 06/04/2022 19:14

Oh it's such a sad state of affairs isn't it @arianasky 🤣 x

It's lovely to hear some good news here.

I finally built up the courage to register with a midwife, this was last Tuesday at 8 weeks, I am now 9 weeks and have not heard anything from them. Should I be concerned and maybe get in touch with them? Registration was done online.

arianasky · 06/04/2022 21:02

@Cruz86 it really is DP had carbonara and I really wanted some but I just couldn't face it 😂🙈

@sunnyd67 im in South Wales so it's a but different to England we ring the gp and they register us and I have my appointment Monday at 8weeks from LMP, sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Skl2021 · 06/04/2022 21:32

@sunnyd67 I think it's normal to not hear anything until around 10 weeks now seems to be alot of delays but if your worried then give them a ring to make sure they have everything xx

Cruz86 · 06/04/2022 22:28

Ooh carbonara @arianasky 🤤 way too creamy for now though 😂

I would probably give your community midwives team a call @sunnyd67, just because I think your bloods need to be done before 10 weeks!

@Cruz86 still got the brown but I seem to remember it takes days to clear away! How are you feeling today? I’m 11 weeks now.. can’t believe I’ve known for 8 weeks now 😱 just crazy xx

@Bridgey8 if you don’t mind me asking how long did it take for your brown spotting to ease off after a big bleed? Xx

flowergarden16 · 07/04/2022 09:09

Oh girls the sickness is hitting today! Close to vomiting on the tube. Fun few weeks to go...

scoutcat · 07/04/2022 09:33

The sickness hasn't hit me yet but I did feel so dizzy at the hairdressers last night and my stomach felt so full and uncomfortable even though I hadn't eaten much!

My husband made me a cup of tea this morning and the thought of drinking it made me queasy!

flowergarden16 · 07/04/2022 10:01

I'm the same @scoutcat I eat as it makes me feel less sick then I feel so bloated and full and keep waking up at 5am with dodgy tummy Blush TMI sorry. Ugh. But feeling grateful still

Cruz86 · 07/04/2022 11:26

Glad it's not red anymore @aesgriff 🙏🏻 I'm okay today thanks, still retching but there we go! I thought it would've started to get better now seeing as I'm 10 weeks, but it seems to be at its peak instead. 8 weeks of knowing!! That is crazy isn't it 😲 xx

Good luck to everyone starting to feel the sickness! Xx
