Welcome @Clay1992 , don’t worry, I don’t think there is an updated version of the dating.
Sadly we lost a few on the journey also but you wasn’t to know that

Smarsh32 · 19/04/2022 11:09

I am glad to see I am not the only one having really vivid dreams.. every single night it seems! I had an awful one the other night where my teeth were all crumbling in my mouth and I was spitting bits of tooth everywhere..and another where the scanner couldn't find the baby on my scan - then said - only joking! Awful!! They were so realistic I was so glad to wake up!! Also, have had 3 dreams about the baby and each dream the baby has been a boy!! Have our scan to find out on Friday, cannot wait! Hope everyone is doing OK :)

ploopypleepy · 19/04/2022 12:55

Anyone else's back in agony ??? 😳😳 not a good sign for things to come, and it doesn't help that I have a very physical job 😩

Pinktruffle · 19/04/2022 15:39

@Ploopypleepy my backs seems about the only this that is ok! I've got PGP already - at 14 weeks! I hate to see what I will be like as things progress but I will be asking midwife for a pelvic physio referral. My shoulders are also really aching, I've had a hot water bottle on them most of the week.

emmajane90 · 19/04/2022 22:04

I have this thing where if I lie on my side in bed I get numbness/tingling on the left side of my hip and my left thigh which is apparently sciatica. I had a really bad back from weeks 8 - 11 which I thought felt like sciatica so I'm guessing it was and the pressure has just shifted from one place to another.

Leibee87 · 19/04/2022 22:26

@ploopypleepy my lower back and hips are quite sore. Midwife has referred me to physio and told me to take paracetamol. I'm 15+2.

Got to hear babies hb today for the first time I thought I'd get emotional but I didn't. Ftm but really struggling with pregnancy. The sickness/exhaustion and pain is so crap and depression has set in a bit (mainly because my meds don't stay down) then I feel guilt for not enjoying it and I don't want to air it because then I feel like I'm not greatful for this miracle (trust me I am)

Gah sorry for the rant.

Pinktruffle · 20/04/2022 08:21

@Leibee87 this is my second pregnancy (and I've struggled through IVF, infertility etc) so I am infinitely grateful to be in this position but honestly, being pregnant is miserable. I know some women love it and feel amazing but I think the vast majority of us are struggling through sickness, nausea, sleeplessness, exhaustion and the aching of bones you've never paid any attention to.
You are not alone, but it is worth it xx

Boopsy89 · 20/04/2022 19:59

Hi sorry to jump on this thread..but can I ask......
..I'm due Oct 2nd I'm 16 +4 and the past 2 days the bottom of my back is in agony when I'm standing I feel like my insides are going to fall out 🙈 also feel alot of pressure down there.....can anyone relate to this or should I be concerned.....I do see my midwife tomorrow was thinking of mentioning it to her? Thanks

Pregnantpolly · 21/04/2022 16:12

@Boopsy89 hope back is feeling better...

My body is keeping me guessing. No vomiting on Monday, 4x on Tuesday, none yesterday and 2x today. Gross

xMari · 21/04/2022 16:51

Hi @Boopsy89 I also have pressure down there and under my belly button in general. I honestly didn’t think anything of it though haha It’s definitely good practice to ask your midwife anything you’re unsure about though, they’re their to support you!

@Pregnantpolly I’m exactly the same. It’s my birthday today and I’m stuck in bed because of sickness but a few days ago I was perfectly fine

ploopypleepy · 21/04/2022 16:59

My Mumsnet hasn't been working sorry for the late reply. It seems like most people have pain of sort sort then, not just me !! My hips and back are still killing, I've resigned myself to the fact this is just part of the process. @Boopsy89 I would definitely mention it, even if she says it totally normal at least then you will have a bit of reassurance

Boopsy89 · 21/04/2022 17:38

Thank you for your replies....@ploopypleepy sorry you have been having sickness luckily I haven't suffered with any of that only itchy boobs 🙈 .@Pregnantpolly@Pregnantpolly@Pregnantpolly @xMari happy birthday sorry you haven't felt well...... had a different midwife today and to be honest she didn't make me feel comfortable felt like she was rushing me and wasn't interested so never mentioned it to her. I've got period type pains and backache but no bleeding....don't no if it's worth ringing maternity assessment unit or whether to ride it through

Boopsy89 · 21/04/2022 17:39

Sorry @Pregnantpolly was meant to say hope your feeling better

Pregnantpolly · 21/04/2022 18:55

@Boopsy89 that's what the midwifes are there for so just phone with concerns.

emmajane90 · 21/04/2022 19:34

We had our 16 week gender scan today and we're having a beautiful baby GIRL 🥰🥰🥰 she's growing perfectly and everything is as it should be 💗 I'm so relieved everything is fine! Maybe I'll actually start enjoying pregnancy now 😅

ploopypleepy · 21/04/2022 21:12

@emmajane90 awhhh that's amazing congrats!!! Did you have any predictions about what you were having before today !?

thunderonlyhappenswhen · 21/04/2022 21:31

Sorry I haven't been as active this week, busy planning a wedding, dealing with general anxiety !
Congrats @emmajane90 wonderful news ❤️and I hope you can start to relax, although much easier said than done isn't it !

I went for a scan today as had a wobble again, was sure I spotted an orangey tint in my discharge so I booked a private scan, happy to say we're also expecting a baby girl 💕

I hope everyone else is doing okay apart from the aches and pains and worries !!

Pinktruffle · 21/04/2022 22:43

@Boopsy89 it's always worth speaking to EPU if you are worried. However, just to put your mind at ease a little, period type pains are quite normal in pregnancy, it's usually your uterus doing what it needs to do to accommodate a growing baby.

emmajane90 · 22/04/2022 07:20

@ploopypleepy thank you! I had girl predictions based on nub theory 💗

@thunderonlyhappenswhen congratulations to you too! Glad everything is okay following your scan 🥰

DogsAndBirds · 22/04/2022 07:47

@thunderonlyhappenswhen and @emmajane90 congrats on the news you are having girls!💕

Is it certain if you have a gender scan at 16 weeks? My nightmare is going for one and then them getting it wrong 🙈

Cookiedough123 · 22/04/2022 10:46

I'm also getting pains. Feeling like stretching expanding pains. And I keep getting a sore nipple, it looks slightly cracked.

Has anyone's 16 week appointment been a telephone call? I thought it might be face to face and I would get to hear the heartbeat. But got a letter through for a 20 minute telephone call.

DogsAndBirds · 22/04/2022 10:53

@Cookiedough123 my 16 week appointment is face to face with the midwife at my GPs as they are doing bloods and another urine sample.

If it's by phone how will they take bloods?

xMari · 22/04/2022 11:18

@Cookiedough123 Are you certain it’s your 16 weeks appointment that’s via telephone? I have a telephone appointment coming up but I also have a 16w appointment at my gp. Perhaps contact your midwife and see what’s going on
