Hi! Thought I'd start a new thread as we filled up the previous one. Going to try and tag everyone who's been active recently - apologies if I miss anyone out! Feel free to join in.

I'm expecting my firstborn, having had 2 miscarriages. Currently 17 weeks and 2 days!
@GinnyBee I recognise myself in your mat leave description haha! I staggered home from work at lunchtime, staggered to the park with the dog, did the dishes and have been on the sofa ever since! And I'm only just gone 6 months!!

@OnceUponAThread Cot, buggy, lots of clothes and sick cloths?!
Are you on Mat Leave now. Am feeling v jealous and regretful about my life / work choices.

Tofu35 · 11/04/2022 19:48

@susiebluebell booked in, sounds like my first appt (weight, pee, bloods) is at 9 weeks and my first scan is at 10 weeks. Unsure if my scan is early because I've previously had a miscarriage or if there was just a gap in their schedule for then. The countdown is on!

susiebluebell · 12/04/2022 07:45

@OnceUponAThread Not fully on mat leave but able to do half days! Really thankful for that!

@Tofu35 Well done, so exciting! Fingers and toes crossed it all continues to go smoothly. Whatever happens, we've probably been through it and so many of us are having the babies we thought we might never have Smile

Hi all,
I have been flat out reading for a while but haven't had the nerve to post until now.
I had 2 miscarriages last year, one a mmc and the other I was scanned every week for a month with no answers until I started miscarrying. The hospital failed to remove all of the pregnancy and I was still testing positive 3 months later, I ended up taking an infection so they finally removed the remaining tissue.
I recently found out I am pregnant again, about 5 and a half weeks and am terrified, I haven't even told my husband. I have had a couple of bouts of pink spotting but my biggest worry is that my hyperemesis hasn't started yet. I was so sick when pregnant with my little boy, hospitalised a number of times but I have no nausea at all this time.im so worried something is wrong!!

susiebluebell · 19/04/2022 12:44

Ah bless you @Worryworm84 and welcome! 5 weeks is so early and feels so life-changing at the same time!

I had spotting around the 6-week mark too, well one big pinkish gush actually, and was convinced it would be a miscarriage. It wasn't 🥰 We truly just have to sit tight and wait and that stage. And tell your husband, let him carry some of the worry too! Sending big hugs x

@Worryworm84

It wasn't long ago that I posted but I do like to keep updated with this thread as it so reassuring to have others who have had similar experiences.

The Spotting could be your implantation and every pregnancy is different so it maybe that you won't suffer as badly with hyperemesis in a positive light!

Please tell tour husband, the worry that your going through won't help with stress levels and your a partnership so you should be able to share any burdens and worrys.

I hope everything works out and everything progresses as it should x

Flowerstem · 21/04/2022 16:31

Hi ladies

Well I had a bit of surprise this morning! AF is late by 2 days so I thought I would check .. no harm 🥺🤷‍♀️

But I have had a strong Bfp! I'm just worried and hopefully we can get past the 6 weeks mark without any early bleeding ect like previous MC.

We wont be telling anyone around us just incase but I'm unsure what to tell work as I do alot of lifting with tables and chairs and I know that's what I will be put on when I go back monday after half term..maybe I should just mention to my supervisor but keep it confidential because we are being cautious.. not that it reduces the risk or anything I just want to make I've done everything i can incase it happens again.

🤞🌈

GinnyBee · 21/04/2022 17:40

@Flowerstem Congratulations!
If you're used to lifting the tables and chairs there is absolutely no harm in continuing to do so! Many women keep going to the gym while pregnant, and research shows that women that are active and exercise when pregnant have larger placentas which helps with better flow of blood and nutrients to the baby! So while it may feel like taking it easy would be better, it's actually the opposite if you have no other health issues or pain etc. Keep on lifting!

Flowerstem · 21/04/2022 17:49

@GinnyBee

Aw that does make sense! I'll keep on normal routine. Thankyou! X

OnceUponAThread · 21/04/2022 20:26

I think you know your own body and you should be led by that. (Sounds a bit "woo" but it's true).

Lifting shouldn't be a problem, but I actually found that in early pregnancy I was wiped out with exhaustion. I had to tell work earlier than planned because we had to make some adjustments.

If you're struggling, let work know. It's confidential, but no harm in reiterating that you're not telling people IYSWIM.

TwoBulletsFiveZombies · 22/04/2022 10:19

Please can I join? I'm 4+1 after 4 miscarriages, but am cautiously optimistic as my lines are stronger than I think they've ever been (even at my 7 week MC) and I have very tender breasts already. The anxiety is real though!

I'm trying to leave it a couple more days before I do another CB digital to see if the dates increase, the dates never changed from 1-2 weeks in my previous pregnancies. Please help me stay strong and not test! It's expensive for a start 🤑

HappyJoyousFree · 22/04/2022 19:26

Tentatively joining!
Hi all. Just had booking appointment with midwife. We're roughly 8wks but had 2mc so so anxious. Hopefully will feel better after 12wk scan. They said they'll send an appointment through post 🤔

susiebluebell · 23/04/2022 08:22

@TwoBulletsFiveZombies Hi and welcome! Love the username. How exciting about your positive test. I have spent more money than I care to count on testing - for this pregnancy I've kept all the positives, with dates on, and there's about half a dozen! Do keep us posted on how you get on, and don't spend too much! Once a week is maybe enough?

@HappyJoyousFree Welcome to you as well! I've had 2 MC as well, so I fully empathise with that hoping for the best/expecting the worst rollercoaster. Well done on getting booked in already, it took me a couple of weeks longer before I believed it enough to make an appt. Fingers crossed for you!

Massive congrats @Flowerstem and yes, I have a physical job too and have kept doing it up till now, albeit with more breaks and some modifications as I've got bigger. If it's your normal activity level then they recommend keeping it up as it's very healthy to be active during pregnancy - barring contact sports of course 😉

So yes, that's me officially on maternity leave until further notice! Last day yesterday and I know I'll miss it soon, but for now I'm enjoying the prospect of no early mornings and coming home knackered!

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Thank you @susiebluebell !

I caved and did another CB Digital this morning, and my dates have gone up to 2-3 weeks, which is right for the timing. Got a stash of Internet cheapies to keep me going till I can do another one for 3+ and the lines are progressing nicely on that.

A little bit of twinging and cramping that's making me anxious 😟

Louharding · 24/04/2022 18:47

Hi @TwoBulletsFiveZombies just wanted to say that cramping is completely normal and can be a good sign that everything is stretching and changing. I know it seems cruel that all of the symptoms seem to remind us of miscarriage symptoms it is so similar sometimes! But that’s a good sign with the digital too. Just try not to worry too much and wait it out. Everything crossed for you xx

HappyJoyousFree · 24/04/2022 18:58

Thanks @susiebluebell
I've been having some cramps/stitch type pains but because there's no bleeding EPU won't scan me 😥

Just have to try be positive I guess.

Hope you enjoy your maternity leave and get some rest before little one arrives!

susiebluebell · 24/04/2022 19:16

Thank you, I'm trying but finding it quite boring at the moment! I don't like having to slow down this much.

The cramping thing - yeah, I also had that. Still OK many months later 😊 Fingers crossed for you ladies 🤞🏻

It's good to hear that the cramping is quite normal. I feel quite optimistic about this pregnancy for some reason, more than any of the others that have ended in MC. I just hope it's intuition, and not wishful thinking. I'm not sure how many more times I can go through MC.

My lines are continuing to darken though and I have a lot of symptoms for 4+5 - very sore breasts, tiredness, lethargy, a tiny bit of queasiness and some wicked gas 😬I also keep waking up at about 2-3am in the morning absolutely FUMING at my DP for silly little things like not loading the dishwasher and then not being able to get back to sleep because I'm so angry.😄

TwoBulletsFiveZombies · 26/04/2022 10:54

Sorry I didn't mean to post about 8 times!

Louharding · 26/04/2022 15:16

@TwoBulletsFiveZombies that all sounds really positive! Did they find out a reason for your previous mc? If you don’t mind me asking.

That sounds pretty similar to me with the anger and the gas 😂 I’m so fat and pregnant now that I dread the walk to the toilet at work in case I fart as I walk, there’s no controlling it anymore. Pregnancy is so glam!

will you have an early scan do you think? Everything crossed! Xxx

susiebluebell · 26/04/2022 17:21

I'm starting to get seriously fat and waddly too! Walking the dog like a very slow duck!
