Hi all,

I've just had my first BFP and am due middle September 2022, this is my first baby - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 29 and have PCOS

Is anyone else due in September? How are you feeling?

Hey! I'm 28 (29 next month) and due at the very end of September. Only found out last week.
I also have PCOS and we've been ttc for 4 years with 2 losses so I'm riddled with anxiety but trying to be positive.
Congratulations!
I haven't joined any groups/threads etc yet as I'm still in shock but felt compelled to reply to yours as we're around the same age and both have pcos x

Carebear99 · 27/01/2022 07:49

Hi I'm sure mid September too. I'm around 7w4d now. I'm 39, have pcos and endometriosis. Been ttc on and off for 20 years, our daughter is 20. Conceived naturally.

I've had bad nausea for the past two weeks but it seems to have gone the past few days. I'm a complete worrier and have had 3 early scans

Jenna240 · 27/01/2022 08:14

Hi I'm 30 and I also have pcos. We've been ttc for 2 years now and this will be my second. My daughter is 7 years old so quite a big gap. I found out 2 weeks ago that I'm pregnant and I'm now 5w2d. I'm very very anxious. I've already had a early scan as the midwife at my booking in app thought I was 10 weeks with my periods being irregular. How are you feeling?

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 10:25

@Pepperlypue @Carebear99 @Jenna240
Is anyone having any symptoms yet? I've had the sore boobs and occasionally felt sick but nothing much more and keep getting worried that this isn't normal Confused

@FirstTimeBabyMum hi! Some people get no symptoms or like me they come and go. I'm worried when my symptoms stop. I've definitely been feeling more tired and my boobs hurt on and off, nausea comes and goes.

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 10:35

@Carebear99 I always think I'm an over thinker lol, i found out nearly 3 weeks ago that I'm pregnant so I think because I found out so early it's dragging GrinI'm thinking of booking an early scan just to reassure my mind

@FirstTimeBabyMum I had really sore boobs for a week which made me test. I usually get sore boobs around my period but only last a few days. Keep getting nausea on and off and getting tired easily but that's about it.

Carebear99 · 27/01/2022 11:44

I've had 3 early scans... it reassured me for the time then I worry again

loves2plan · 27/01/2022 11:48

Hi OP! I got BFP last weds and I think I'm due 15/9, going for an early scan this afternoon to make sure everything's okay and I've got my dates right. No real symptoms yet except for fatigue x

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 14:25

@Carebear99 @loves2plan have you both paid for early scans or been referred for them?

OP posts:
loves2plan · 27/01/2022 14:37

I have paid for mine ☺️

Carebear99 · 27/01/2022 14:45

Two at EPU and I paid for one.

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 14:55

@Carebear99 how did you get your early scans at EPU? I want an early one as we got told our only chance to conceive would be IVF so now I'm constantly worried

I was having bad cramps.
First scan - Worried about an ectopic due to age and fertility history. Gp referred.
Second scan - self referred

Karla1313 · 27/01/2022 15:50

Hi all,

I'm due around 23 September, pregnant with my first at 36 years old. So far feeling good except for sore boobs (which kept me awake at night for most of last week Confused). I get pretty strong cramps especially in the evenings after sitting down for longer than an hour. Nausea comes and goes. But luckily my energy levels are high so hoping it will stay that way for as long as possible!
Congrats to you all and nice to meet you!

ljm1x · 27/01/2022 16:33

Hi all, I'm also due in September I think if my calculations are correct, I can't be 100% sure because I have pcos, but I'm just wondering, are yous waiting to tell close family at 12 weeks ? I don't know when to tell my mum and dad, if 6 weeks is too early or not ?

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 17:25

@ljm1x we told our family as soon as we found out as were a high risk and they understand x

loves2plan · 27/01/2022 17:26

@ljm1x I'm telling mine as soon as we've had this scan today if everything is okay - I know a lot of people wait to 12 weeks because it's safer and less risk of miscarriage after that point but I'm of the opinion that the more people who know now the better so I don't have to hide why I aren't doing certain things, like drinking, anymore 😂 personal choice so tell them when you're ready I say

ljm1x · 27/01/2022 17:28

@FirstTimeBabyMum do you know if pcos is classed as high risk? I feel I read so much that I don't know the correct answer x

ljm1x · 27/01/2022 17:30

@loves2plan how far on are you if you don't mind me asking ? I have a scan tomorrow but I'm honestly not sure at all how far on I am. My last proper period was 21st October, on the 3rd of December I had spotting for a few days but the clear blue digital told me 2/3 weeks on Sunday there which would have made me 4/5 xx

MrsG2021 · 27/01/2022 18:04

Hi,

Congratulations on all of your BFPs! Please can I join? I’m 27 and got my BFP last Thursday. I think I’m 5 weeks today. This my first baby and it feels a bit too good to be true as we conceived on our first cycle of officially TTC. I haven’t had many symptoms apart from sore boobs and weeing more than normal so I’m feeling a bit anxious. We’ve booked a private early scan for when I’m 7w+3 so hopefully that will give me some reassurance. Every day seems to drag at the minute! Is anyone else finding that?

MrsG2021 · 27/01/2022 18:08

@ljm1x We’re planning to tell both sets of parents when they come to visit in a couple of weeks so I’ll be around 7 weeks. We’re really excited to tell them but I also think it’s good to have that support network around us should anything happen x

WhatTheEll · 27/01/2022 18:13

Hi all!
I'm 7w4d currently. I have 1DS who has a rare chromosome disorder and I've had two losses in 2021. Begged GP/gynae etc to start me on progesterone pessaries under the new NICE guidelines 👍🏻 so been on them 2 weeks already.
I've already had two scans, all looking well. Going for my 3rd on Saturday at 7+6!
Wishing everyone well ♥️

loves2plan · 27/01/2022 18:36

@ljm1x I think I'm dead on 7 weeks today ☺️

ljm1x · 27/01/2022 19:35

@MrsG2021 I really was going to try and wait to nearer the 12 week mark just incase anything was to go wrong but I feel like I'm under more pressure trying to keep it from then than just telling them. I have a scan tomorrow so hopefully know roughly then how far I am and take it from there xx
