Hi all,

I've just had my first BFP and am due middle September 2022, this is my first baby - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 29 and have PCOS

Is anyone else due in September? How are you feeling?

I am due September and tbh I'm a bit gutted because due date is a week before my birthday 😂 Hoping baby comes late August instead but as a first-timer I doubt it will be early.

No massive symptoms for me at all. Got vaguely sore boobs and feel a bit sick when I haven't eaten for a while, but that's it.

Glitterygreen · 27/01/2022 19:41

Ps. I had a scan on Monday due to spotting and saw the heartbeat so no symptoms is not always a bad thing 😊

Glitterygreen · 27/01/2022 19:46

@ljm1x

Hi all, I'm also due in September I think if my calculations are correct, I can't be 100% sure because I have pcos, but I'm just wondering, are yous waiting to tell close family at 12 weeks ? I don't know when to tell my mum and dad, if 6 weeks is too early or not ?
I have told a couple of close friends and really want to tell my sister but my DP keeps trying to put me off because her husband can't keep a secret and she'll obviously tell him.

Tbh I am not mega fussed about keeping it secret due to earliness but I just don't wanna tell my mum and dad to find out until after 12 weeks because if anything goes wrong they will be upset and my mum will be all over me, fussing and worrying. Just don't need it.

I do really wanna tell my sister but just don't know if it's a good idea in case my parents find out 😔 I know she'll be a bit upset I didn't tell her if I wait until after 12 week scan.

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:17

I feel like my scan is going to be so far away but worried that if I book an early scan it's guna be barely worth seeing as I'm still only 5wk 4 days 😬 but I'm sick with worry that it's all in my head 🤣 has anyone else done loads of tests and still testing?
@ljm1x I've had previous miscarriages and have been under gynae for about 5/6 months and got told that I'd only be able to conceive via ivf x

I don't even know how far on I am at all because pcos so it's driving me mad that I don't know, might not even see anything on scan but I think it's worth a try xx

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:22

@ljm1x have you done a clear blue weeks test? I did one last week that showed 2/3 weeks then 4 days later still 2/3 then day later I did another and it said 3+ so going on that I'm thinking I'm 5.4 x

@FirstTimeBabyMum sorry forgot to tag you; I was never told it wouldn't be possible etc I never really had the conversation with doctors or anything as I think I was about 17 when I got told about pcos, so it wasn't even a thought then. This just happened and I'm still in disbelief I never thought it would be possible xxx
ljm1x · 27/01/2022 20:23

Yes, I done one on Sunday that said 2-3 so I thought 4/5 but I had spotting on 3rd december so the women I spoke to on the phone says I would have been 7 and a half so I'm really confused xx

@FirstTimeBabyMum so sorry forgot to tag again lol xx
FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:25

@ljm1x we had the same I had a strange brown bleed on 10th and nothing since then but not had anything said to me yet about how far they think? I've got my first appointment on 1st x

ljm1x · 27/01/2022 20:29

@FirstTimeBabyMum it was just the sonographer from the private scan place I'm going to. I was just trying to explain my last proper period was 21st October and I had the lightest spotting on 3rd of December for a few days so because of this she said well your last period was 7 and a half weeks ago xxx

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:30

@ljm1x crazy how they can work it all out whilst we're all so confused 🤣

OP posts:
ljm1x · 27/01/2022 20:33

@FirstTimeBabyMum I know haha ! But I'm almost sure I'm not that far on, i said to her on the phone about the clear blue and she said their not advanced enough to be that precise xx

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:34

@ljm1x I think it's confusing with PCOS though as my periods are never regular xx

OP posts:
ljm1x · 27/01/2022 20:38

@FirstTimeBabyMum for sure, the start of the year i had 70 days in between a period xx

Lotusflower1990000 · 27/01/2022 20:38

Hiya I’m 30 and due with my first mid September too! I have pcos and endometriosis so I am so happy but nervous like a lot of you has anyone gone for an early scan? Xx

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 20:41

@ljm1x I think mine are about the same now xx
@Lotusflower1990000 I've not had one but I'm really wanting one, a lot of the ladies on here have had them xx

OP posts:
ljm1x · 27/01/2022 20:43

@Lotusflower1990000 I am going for one tomorrow but because of my pcos I don't know how far I am so might not see anything xx

Glitterygreen · 27/01/2022 20:54

I only went for an early scan due to spotting. Just to warn anyone who hasn't had one, they tend to be internal before 7 weeks 😳 That was a bit of a surprise for me!

FirstTimeBabyMum · 27/01/2022 21:32

Did anyone get a darker line on the test area than the control line?

@FirstTimeBabyMum I got this on a few tests, I don't know if that means anything or not. I was wondering the same x

loves2plan · 27/01/2022 22:58

Had my early scan earlier - couldn't see anything and they thinks it's a bit earlier in the pregnancy than they thought so I'll have to go back in a few weeks 😬 trying to stay positive but definitely deflated

annlee3817 · 28/01/2022 06:31

Hi All, 1st September for me :)
Just thought I'd share the other September thread and there is a private FB group if anyone wants to join :) can get someone to post the link
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4452981-Due-September-2022-Thread-2

@FirstTimeBabyMum apparently its referred to as a dye stealer, so such a strong positive that it takes dye from the control line :)

Congrats to everyone

I also have pcos, my average cycle is 60 odd days!

I had a BFN on Xmas eve and then spotted Xmas day on/off. I got my BFP on 15th January. My lmp was 12th November. When I referred myself to the midwife she put me at just over 10 weeks. I booked a private early scan to put my mind at ease and also cos I didn't think I was 10 weeks along. They dated me at 5 weeks 1 day, I'm back again in 2 weeks for another scan.

Hope your scan goes well today!

ljm1x · 28/01/2022 07:53

@Jenna240 thank you so much. On the week I had the kind of spotting I did test and it was negative, I never tested again as I was just waiting for my next period, i then took a random test on 23rd of January and it was positive, I honestly have no idea how far on I am. Really worried for this scan today, I know it's normal not to see anything early on but it's so nerve wracking xx
