@onedream OOI, walk to where exactly? Day 3 I could walk/hobble around my house, bed to bathroom and back distances, but not much more than that. There seems to be a definite aversion to sending people home with stronger painkillers. Probably a cost saving measure. I know I didn't get any, and the rest of my bay, who were all discharged same day, didn't get any either. We were told that if we needed something stronger to contact our GP, MAU or even 111 to get some prescribed. Everyone's recovery and pain tolerance is going to be different, but you don't know what you'll need until you need it. Hopefully you'll feel much better soon.
@Derbee Similar to onedream's My partner had to provide a negative LFT every visit. It was valid for 24 hours. The hospital would provide a test to anyone who didn't bring one from home, but they had to leave the ward, wait the full 30 minutes for a result, then return.
Our visiting hours were 8am - 8pm. One visitor at a time, absolutely no children, have to wear a mask in the corridors. DH could come in any time if I were called down to delivery suite. He was free to come and go anytime I was on delivery suite. After the section, he stayed with me for a few hours in the recovery. No-one said anything about when he had to leave, but the poor guy needed a sleep. He could come back when I was moved to postnatal during visiting hours after that.
