@Dyra haha lack of sleep is a killer. Im definitely not looking forward to that.
I hope you are feeling a little better today.
Ah thats good news that i may be at the top of the list, ill ask the question tomorrow.
Finger's crossed he can stay with me as long as possible, thats another question on the list. X

bubblybrit · 21/03/2022 17:28

@Pac35. Congratulations on your baby boy! Xx

My DD has developed a stomach bug over the weekend so hasn’t been at nursery today (she’ll prob not be able to go back until later this week). Sooo not what I need when only 10 days until due date 😢 been a constant cycle of no sleep, sickness, cleaning sickness and trying to settle given that she gets so upset when she is sick! DH was able to take an emergency holiday today but I’ll be on my own from tomorrow onwards. I could cry 😢 xx

Cxjai792 · 21/03/2022 19:03

Congratulations to everyone whose had their babies recently❤️

Our little girl Daisy was born this afternoon after being in hospital since last Thursday! We are so in love and can’t wait to introduce her to our other DD💕xx

bubblybrit · 21/03/2022 19:59

Congratulations @Cxjai792. I’m sure you are enjoying lots of newborn cuddles from Daisy 💗 x

Dyra · 21/03/2022 21:19

@bubblybrit Oh that sounds so rough. I hope you're already past the worst of it, and DD is much better tonight so you all get some rest.

@Cxjai792 Congratulations! Did you get your caesarean in the end? I truly adore flower names. Daisy is a gorgeous name, for no doubt, a gorgeous girl

Thank you @bubblybrit @Dyra💕
Soaking up all the newborn snuggles, she is an absolute dream!
I didn’t have CS in the end but this delivery was the total opposite to my first! I didn’t loose much blood and my placenta came out this time!xx

bubblybrit · 22/03/2022 09:08

Thanks @Dyra. Thankfully DD was so much better last night than she was on Sunday night! Last bout of sickness was early evening and then she slept through the night. I still need to keep her off nursery but at least she’s through the worst of it and seems more like her normal self. DH boss has taken pity on me and said that he can take a half day holiday today so only on my own until 1pm…thank god! How are you and baby? X

@Cxjai792. The newborn cuddles are amazing. How has your DD reacted to being a big sister? I’m a bit worried about my toddler as she’s used to 100% attention being on her! X

Cxjai792 · 22/03/2022 10:17

@bubblybrit She was a little bit funny at first, doesn’t help she hasn’t seen me in person since Wednesday night but she’s more excited now. She keeps asking when her sister is coming home and wants to cuddle her. She’s only 3 so I know she’ll find it hard at first but she’ll be a great big sister and everything will work out once we’ve all settled into a new routine. How old is your little one?x

bubblybrit · 22/03/2022 11:23

@Cxjai792. Ah that’s adorable that she’s looking for her sister to come home. My DD is also 3. She’s been asking for her baby sister but I’m worried that perhaps the reality will be different! Sure she’ll adapt soon enough though x

Cxjai792 · 22/03/2022 13:11

@bubblybrit oh bless her how sweet! It may take time or your DD may be absolutely fine! It’ll all be ok in the end though x

bubblybrit · 22/03/2022 13:17

Yes you are right @Cxjai792. Hope Daisy is allowing you to get some sleep x

Dyra · 22/03/2022 16:52

Awwwww. That's so sweet that your girls are looking for their baby sisters. 🥰 Will it be long until you're both home @Cxjai792? Glad that your delivery went well for you. @bubblybrit Great that DD is much better. So nice of DH's boss. Hope DH has got you to get your feet up in this lovely weather today. Max is amazing. Keeping me up half the night cluster feeding, but so worth it. Section wound is unfortunately infected though. Got a week's worth of antibiotics to take, which should hopefully clear it up.

@Scoaf How'd your pre-op go? Grin

@Dyra
Yes all good thanks. We didnt need our covid swabs in the end as weve both had covid in the last 90 days. All feeling very real now. Need to be at maternity ward for 8am Thursday and there is only me and 1 other section that day so fingers crossed im 1st. Also said providing all obs are good i should be able to go home next day.
Ah sorry to hear your wound is infected. Hope the antibiotics clear it up quickly for you. X

Catconfusion · 22/03/2022 18:37

@Scoaf we’re nearly there! Sounds like you have a good chance of being done quickly and home. Are you feeling tired? I’m exhausted today. Just want it to be Thursday now! Xx

Catconfusion · 22/03/2022 18:38

@dyra oh no, sorry to hear about the infection. I hope it clears up quickly! Xx

Catconfusion · 22/03/2022 18:39

@Cxjai792 congratulations! I’m glad the birth went much better this time. I hope you’re all recovering well. Xx

Catconfusion · 22/03/2022 18:40

@bubblybrit I hope you’re on the mend from the tummy bug. It’s the last thing you need. Xx

Cxjai792 · 22/03/2022 19:38

@bubblybrit so far it’s a mixture of being kept awake and not wanting to miss out on her😂
@Dyra thank you, we came home this afternoon! Hope your feeling ok and the infection clears up soon!
@Catconfusion thank you very much💕xx

Scoaf · 22/03/2022 19:56

@Catconfusion
I think ive been in nesting overdrive/trying to keep myself occupied today as ive cleaned the house as i know i wont be able to for a while afterwards. Hopefully that will make me sleep tonight.
Cant believe the day is nearly here... xx

Catconfusion · 22/03/2022 22:22

@Scoaf I admire your energy. Definitely worth getting your house nice and tidy. I’ve been incapable of anything today. My arthritis is really flaring up at the moment. My DH has been tidying best he can. I really wish I had the energy to get the house as ready as I’d like. Our son is going to his Granny’s tomorrow so hopefully we can get a bit more done.

Hope you have a good nights sleep. Literally two more sleeps and we’re there! Xx

Anybody else trying (and failing) at colostrum harvesting? I'm due 7th April but due to the baby being massive, I'm getting swept tomorrow (38 wk) and induced Monday (38+4). Trying to harvest but only getting little white flakes and occassionally a brownish drop from one breast.

GeorgiaMcGraw · 23/03/2022 08:22

@dyra @pac35 congratulations both on your births, how wonderful! Don't kniw if I've missed any othet birth announcements, congratulations to anyone I've missed! StarStarStar

@GeorgiaMcGraw I’ve been trying without much luck. My partner is managing much better than me. He seems to have to start it off, and then I can continue. Think he’s been watching YouTube videos Grin
Scoaf · 23/03/2022 09:31

@Catconfusion oh no, i hope you are feeling better today and can get some stuff done you want to but dont over do it. Big day tomorrow 😬
I had an awful nights sleep, i had pains, so then couldnt sleep as i thought i was going into labour. Im feeling really nervous today so dont think i will get much sleep tonight 😵‍💫 xx

Scoaf · 23/03/2022 09:32

@GeorgiaMcGraw
I have also been trying and massively failing at the harvesting. Not even a drop.
