40 weeks pregnant woke up with intense period pain.

Well, it woke me up actually at 4:30am.
Had more intense period type pain every 30 mins till 6ish then fell asleep till 8am.
Had my last one at 8:30am.

This could be things kicking off couldn't it?

It's in my lower back, bum and lower bump (where period pain usually is)

Well, as it is your 3rd, I would err on the side of sooner rather than later. My 3rd labour was 1 hour from first contraction to delivery. They tried to put me off coming in but I insisted. I delivered 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Once you get going it could go very fast.

My dd was due one Christmas eve. She hung on til new years eve. 10.30 am.

OP, if they stop you from being able to speak, it's time to go. A third baby is unlikely to hang around. Good luck to you. I suspect by the time I look at this tomorrow you will have a lovely snuggly baby.

Try to get some sleep- don’t worry about timing contractions as you will waken up if they’re getting that way. But try to rest… in preparation for your wee Boxing Day boy ❤️

I can talk when they stop?
I'm too busy breathing through them to talk.
Last one was 12 minutes apart and lasted 1minute and 11 seconds.

I know they will send me home if I go in. Might give the hospital the call just to pre warn them though.

The timings are very similar to when I had DD2. Everything started at about 9pm and I had her at 6am.

My contractions were all over the place and I was fine in between then it kicked off properly and she was born in 42 minutes. Hope you aren't far from hospital. Good luck! Hopefully a boxing day boy for you. ❤️

My contractions were quite sporadic with my last then suddenly got intense & wow baby were here. I think my body just knew what to do. I wouldn’t leave it too long to get to the hospital! Wishing you luck so exciting!

Braxton hix? I hate to say this as I was in labour and someone said this to me. I KNEW I was in labour even though it was my first. Hope it all goes well for you xx
