@jadey1991 my stomach is pretty much flat again but skin still slightly loose. Maybe yours is just taking a little longer as you've had previous full term pregnancies? I have nothing to compare to as it was my first.

Have no clue about weaning... I was under the impression it was 6 months but I'll need to look into it. Given Matthew's weight gain has been slow I would love to get some food in him sooner to fatten him up! He's still quite slim for a baby. He is gaining though

tashx · 11/03/2022 18:36

I have been quite lucky
Five babies and my stomach is ok
Some days I say I look 3 months preg
But under a jumper you can't see anything
Ignore rude people @jadey1991
Some women have big belly's and they had no children

tashx · 11/03/2022 18:39

@2020mission
HV and everyone else will tell you 6 months
But I think that's a long time for a baby to wait
But you just do what you feel is right, every baby is different
I'm going back to work when Jesse is about 7-8 months so I need him use to solids before then

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 19:35

@2020mission oh yes of course. I suppose it all depends on baby I suppose

@jadey1991 Ignore the comments hun and don't compare your belly with others, just like all our beautiful babies are different so are our bodies that housed them x I'm planning on starting oscar on porridge at around 4 months if he's ready....its coming round so fast he will be 12wks tomorrow!

@lovebeingmum9 thanks hun. Yes it went so well. Mother in law was shocked and surprised.. was a really lovely night..
Can't say Mother's Day is going to be any different for me as I've got the 2 other children. I suppose it will be different as I will have three children giving me pressies. Lol

@jadey1991 lovely picture!
So baby S is definitely teething..at 9 weeks! Flushed cheeks today. She's been drooling a few weeks and chomping on her fist. Today we've seen a little tooth coming through. Very surprised.

jadey1991 · 13/03/2022 17:57

@Theawkwardblonde thanks hun... aww bless her.. yes I think Josiah is teething to as he chomping away at his hands and dribbling too. Gums look slightly white. I don't remember my girls teething this early... aww bless baby S I hope she is coping

I didnt get any notifications! I've missed alot. I've skimmed through the messages. Leola ill be trying with solids when shes 4 months which is only in 2 weeks time!!!! Shes showing an interest in food when I'm eating she copies me with her mouth movements as though she's chewing.
She had her second lot of jabs last week. She didn't have a temperature this time, however I think the medicine they give as part of the vaccinations gave her an upset stomach. She seemed in pain and squirming when she was trying to sleep. And her poos were really bad. She seems fine now though.
Lovely to see all the photos of the babies and mamas. Everyone looks well 😊

Curlymam88 · 14/03/2022 11:54

Also had them look at leolas gums while she was with HV who confirmed baby is teething. Shes got a few white lines on her gums. So early. Poor babies

burtle4 · 14/03/2022 13:07

@Curlymam88 Dexter had his second set of jabs last Thursday and has been really unsettled and not sleeping well since. He's also seemed in a bit of discomfort with his poo, how long did Leola seem unsettled for? Really hoping it'll pass soon as his sleep at night is awful again, woke every 1 to 2 hours last night! Just as I thought things were getting better 🤦‍♀️

Curlymam88 · 14/03/2022 14:15

@burtle4 I think for 2 nights she was unsettled. Shes back to sleeping fine now. Only waking once at night for a feed. But she is still today having bad watery poos...unless its her gums? I read teething can cause bad poo too?

jadey1991 · 14/03/2022 14:53

@Curlymam88 glad all is well hun. Glad leola is doing ok.. bless her , teething is early this time round. Josiah is cheating on his hands a lot anf dribbling. Glad leola didn't have temp... awww bless her I'm also glad her poos aren't bad.

@Curlymam88 we've had two bad nights since the jabs so hoping tonight might be a bit better 🤞 I know every baby is different but Dexter definitely had bad poos for around a week after his rotavirus vaccine last time so I'm fully expecting the same this time. Luckily he doesn't seem too troubled by them, there's just so much of it!

Curlymam88 · 14/03/2022 15:19

Thanks @jadey1991 hope you're doing well?
@burtle4 yes, very wet and lots. Fills both front and back of her nappy and I've also had to throw a few vests out this week. Not nice at all. Hopefully baby will settle tonight for you. 🤞

Theawkwardblonde · 14/03/2022 18:05

We're having bad watery poos here too. She's gone from 2 poos a week to watery and daily. I put it down to the vaccines last Wednesday - reassuring to see others have the same! We had never had any poo explosions before but she's had a few up front and back these last few days 😂
We've had an awful few days with teething - today she seems better.

lovebeingmum9 · 14/03/2022 18:17

Hi all 😊
Yeah oscar is teething too and is so unsettled the last couple of days bless him.....some bottle feeds are awful and he just screams and refuses it! Hoping it doesn't last long. Thanks for heads up with the 2nd jab side affects 💩 don't remember my others getting that but they are all so different! Hope your well @curlymam nice to see you on x

burtle4 · 14/03/2022 18:33

@lovebeingmum9 depending how old your others are it's the rotavirus vaccine that does it and it's only relatively recently been introduced. I know neither of my other two had it, but that was 8 and 10 years ago!!

Curlymam88 · 14/03/2022 19:52

@lovebeingmum9 im doing good thank you 😊 hope you're well too.
Yep teething is the worst. The Ashton and parsons powders i find do help a bit. Can use from 3 months onwards they say.

jadey1991 · 14/03/2022 20:50

@Curlymam88 I'm doing ok thanks hun. I've been very tired lately. Josiah is sleeping through the night now so I'm happy. I have to book his 2nd lot of jabs over the next 2 weeks because His 1st lot were late. Hope your all doing ok

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 14/03/2022 20:51

Yes like @burtle4 said I don't remember the rotavirus in the immunisations when I had my children. So it is relatively new.

OP posts:
lovebeingmum9 · 14/03/2022 21:19

@burtle ah that might explain it then although my others are 10,7,4 and 2 so it's changed alot over the years!
@curlymam aw good, yes all good here thanks! How's your little curly girly leona doing? 😊 yes I need to get that...so far I've only given infant calpol but need the teething salts as they have always worked wonders for mine when teething! our 1st was the only one who teethed this early and had 1st tooth at 3/4 months, our others were all after 6months so got caught short this time lol

lovebeingmum9 · 14/03/2022 21:51
