@LouLou0505 thanks! Found the number to ring. Definitely think it will be of benefit. I'm still not over the birth if I'm being honest. Jack is so cute ☺️

@2020mission it would be ideal to use the bect to me but don't fancy lugging it downstairs every day. She's just so long! The basket was a godsend tbf with having a section section. Was easier having somewhere for her to sleep on both floors. She was not happy after her vaccinations. She calmed down fairly quickly, has been really tired but very hard to feed. Just cried and fussed throughout feeding then wouldn't be put down to sleep. Once she settled though she was out for the count. I was no good mind - never heard her cry like that before.

@jadey1991 aww look at Josiah! She's happy enough, but apparently only of myself or partner are there 😂

@JW2021 lovely photos! He's so cute!

I feel our little one is massive in comparison to your little ones. GP actually questioned if she was 8 weeks. He put her at 12 😂 she's not chunky, just so long. Then again I'm just shy of 6 ft and partner is 6ft 3 so she's not going to be short!

burtle4 · 09/03/2022 21:48

Dexter's got his second set of jabs tomorrow, dreading them! At least once they're done tomorrow though I think that's it for a while. Also seeing the health visitor while we're there to get him weighed and measured, I'm a bit worried he's going to be off the scale! He's sooooo heavy and already outgrowing his 3-6 month clothes! We saw the osteopath and she confirmed that he does have some tightness in his neck which is restricting him from comfortably moving his head to the left so she's given some exercises for us to do and she'll see us again in 2 weeks. Since she did some treatment on him yesterday he definitely seems a bit more comfortable though and is starting to notice his left hand which is a relief! Getting loads of smiles and laughs but no attempts to roll yet - Jack is really early with that @JW2021!

@Theawkwardblonde I'm quite tall, I'm 5"8 and my partner is 5"11... my eldest daughter is very tall she is about 5"6 and she is only 13. My youngest daughter is about 4ft something. Josiah might be as my partners parents are short

@burtle4 aww bless Josiah isn't due his 2nd lot till he is 14 weeks as his 1st ones were delayed. At least they have caught it early so hopefully the exercises you do with him will help. I have to get Josiah weighed again soon as when I went 2 weeks ago he had lost some weight. Not sure why or how as he is eating...

Quick question too all you ladies.... when will you be start feeding your babies solids? Or baby porridge

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 10/03/2022 21:22

@jadey1991 I have no idea when I'll start on solids..I'm clueless! The HV is coming out at 4 months to talk about weaning so I'll likely think about it then. Happy for advice on feeding as I have no idea.

tashx · 10/03/2022 21:58

They say wait until 6 months for solids
But I started all mine at 4 months

JW2021 · 10/03/2022 22:06

I agree with you Tashx everyone I talk to here said around 4 months - just got my little chunk outta the bath! This is what 12lbs 7ozs looks like in the flesh!

Cute @JW2021 I had Dexter weighed and measured today and he's now 17lbs 5oz and 63.5cms 😱 can't believe how big he is!! Health visitor said he isn't out of proportion though, just a very big baby! He also had his second set of jabs. They weren't nice but glad they're done and he seems ok so far...
I'll probably start weaning at around 4 months which is what I did with my other two

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 01:42

@Theawkwardblonde see I don't have a HV seeing us anymore.. I've heard anywhere from 4 months then I'm hearing 6 months. With my other 2 children I started eldest at 6 months and youngest around 4/5 months...

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 01:43

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 01:44

@JW2021 aww bless him.. he looks so relaxed.. I'll have to send you a pic of Josiah when he has a bath and you will see his chunky arms and legs. He looks like mitchlin man lol

I want to start getting him on bottles but he isn't having any of it.. so hard because I can't leave him with OH when I wanna go out...

@jadey1991 wow that is rude of people! I wouldn't worry about it, there's plenty of time for it to go back down and you're still breastfeeding so have every excuse not to worry about dieting etc. Mine is thankfully pretty much back to normal but that's mainly because Dexter's fed me dry! This week I started looking really bloated though and couldn't work out why - and then my period came! I couldn't believe it as thought if you were breastfeeding it wouldn't come back for a while but guess I was wrong 🤷‍♀️ it's tough having it back after a whole year without it!
That's annoying that josiah won't take a bottle, I started Dexter pretty young for that reason as wanted to make sure he would take it, so from about 3 weeks I fed him a bottle a week of expressed milk so he'd get used to it. He went through a phase of rejecting it but I just kept offering it in between breast feeds and he finally accepted it. I now give him a small bottle of formula just before bed to try and make him sleep a bit longer, not sure if it's working or not though!

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 08:41

@burtle4 thanks hun.. yes it is rude of them. I look at them and say no I've just had a baby thankyou... to be fair tho with my other pregnancies my belly went down fairly quickly.. this time round I've just piled the pounds on. 🤦🏽‍♀️ yea it is annoying he won't take to it I'm still going to keep trying lol

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 11/03/2022 11:29

@jadey1991 how very rude of them. I hope you told them where go go. My stomach is pretty much flat(ish) now apart from a tiny bit swelling still around my section scar. Tbf I've been hammering exercise and ab work so that's helped massively. I didn't have a big bump during pregnancy though. I did bloat up massively during my first period, and I'm starting to bloat again now as in due on.

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 11:43

@Theawkwardblonde yes they were very rude. Unfortunately I'm
Unable to do any exercises as I'm in middle of physio and have been told not to exercise which I'm so gutted about. I was really big when I was pregnant. I haven't had a period yet.

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 11/03/2022 11:44

@jadey1991 that's a shame you can't do shy exercise. It's frustrating. I was no exercise for my whole pregnancy and it killed me. Is your physio going okay?

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 12:51

@Theawkwardblonde yes it is a shame... physio is going ok. My pelvic floor still isn't working... it's just going to be a slow process x

@jadey1991
Yes I will start Jesse at 4 months
Bit of baby rice to start with then will move onto purée of veg and fruit

jadey1991 · 11/03/2022 17:00

@tashx oh ok hun... I might do the same with Josiah
