Hi everyone so sorry I havnt been on regularly! Things have been so busy for us here lately....hubby has been working hard 7days a week and I've been super busy with our brood too! Babies have all grown so fast and all beautiful ❤💙 Oscar is doing well has his check ups and 1st jabs,he will be 11wks tomorrow! He's also sleeping much better than he was....he normally sleeps in between 7pmish to around 12ish then either wakes at 3pm & 5pm or skips the middle feed which is amazing but not often yet lol we are thinking he's starting to outgrow the moses basket so going to set up the travel cot in our room over the next couple of weeks! He has also started to attempt rolling over....so far he has only manages to go on his side but he's got the rhythm of how to lift his legs and arms to roll lol I saw a few posts back some of you saying about pics....we've been to a family photo shoot a couple of weeks ago was meant to be £99 and 5 different photos of our choice printed but it was on offer to £50 so I'm hoping the pics will be nice....we will be back to collect them next weekend so it's worth looking about seeing if there's any offers for mothers day etc anyway will try and pop on more so I can keep up with you all x here's our smiley oscar x

@lovebeingmum9 hello hun it's lovely to hear from you. Glad all is well with you and Oscar.. can't believe he is starting to roll over. I think Josiah might be doing it but I'm not sure... been so long for me to remember lol. Glad all is well with you tho.. xx

@lovebeingmum9 we're in exactly the same sleep routine as you, he goes down around 7ish, wakes 5 hours later, them once or twice more through the night - so much better than what he was doing!
We left him for the first time last night with my mother in law babysitting so we could go to the cinema for my husband's birthday. Was so proud of him as put him down after his feed but he was wide awake and swinging his arms about as he does but we were late for the film so just had to leave him to it. The whole way through the film I was thinking there's no way he would have settled himself to sleep and mum and law would have been up all night trying to settle him but got home and she said she hadn't heard a peep from him ❤ so it was a successful first venture out without him!
Do any of your babies seem to prefer one arm over the other? Dexter's 12 weeks today and is always looking at and reaching out with his right arm, but very rarely with his left. He does swing his left arm about but doesn't seem to know it belongs to him! He struggles to turn his head to the left though and is always looking to the right so I'm booked in with a cranial osteopath on Tuesday to see if he needs loosening up. Hopefully it's just that.

jadey1991 · 05/03/2022 11:20

@burtle4 glad your all getting into a routine.
I can't say I've noticed Josiah preferring one arm. Maybe I might need to look out and see. He is constantly moving both arms tho.

Someone mentioned that there baby is rolling to one side. I've noticed with Josiah that if he has been put on his side then he rolls on to his tummy. He did that a few times yesterday. I must say that his arms and head is so strong. They way he lifts his head up is unbelievable

@burtle4 let us know how Dexter gets on at cranial osteopath. Hope it's nothing to worry about x

@jadey1991 thank you, will do! He's really strong in the head and neck too, can't believe how much so! He likes sitting up with support now and looking around. It's crazy how quickly they change from being tiny helpless newborns into proper interactive babies!

jadey1991 · 05/03/2022 12:09

@burtle4 yes Josiah is the same.. doesn't like laying down. Josiah also likes laying on his play mat.

Ladies!

I don't get any notifications so I've missed a lot!

Look at all these babies! 😩😍 makes me broody already! 😂

@JW2021 - I know I'm biased but we've both made the worlds cutest Jacks 😍💙

Here's me and Jack on Friday going for his first afternoon tea 😂 he's now 11weeks getting big in 3-6month clothes 😩 I'm going to go to the walk in weigh this week.

We went to our first group last week with his little cousins and he loved it! So much for him to look at and play with!

xxx

Thanks @jadey1991 hope all is well with you too? aw I think oscar could be teething aswell as he sometimes bites teat and bites down on my finger or his fist....dribbling more aswell x
@burtleThanks hun yeah exactly same routine....Oscar used to go to sleep at 9pm but its got earlier at 7pm now before now he was also having a bottle every 2 hours and stirring every 1 and a half hours so was a bit of a nightmare....I tried to make him wait a bit longer in-between feeds but he just screamed and screamed so decided to just make a bottle up every hour and a half and he was drinking so much but that gave him wind so now I do colic drops before feeds and during the day he goes every 2-3hrs now on occasion a bit longer (in car etc) hope dexters arm is ok...let us know how it goes x oscar like josiah just squirms and uses both arms but I would say he uses his left hand most when on playmat and sucking his fist! x
Hey @loulou you and baby jack are looking great! hope your both good, glad to see your going to a baby group and meeting other 1st time parents there I bet. I'm starting back at the gym tonight,I'm booked in for zumba and yoga this week to get a bit of me time but as far as oscar goes we havnt done any groups or weigh in as I do them at home but,our 2yr old is starting nursery this week in the mornings so will be our 1st 1 to 1 time since he's been born so will be nice to have time to join a baby massage or something 😊

jadey1991 · 07/03/2022 17:43

@LouLou0505 hey hun I've stopped getting notifications too.

@jadey1991
Hey hun,

Birth wasn't awful as such, I know women have a lot worse

Was an horrible induction that ended up with emergency forceps in theatre
Because I was over contracting
My blood pressure hit the floor and Jesse couldn't cope

I was originally rushed to theatre for emergency c section

So not awful
But my last baby was born at home in two hours

I just want to know why they didn't do c section, why my blood pressure hit the floor etc...

What drugs I was given and why my partner was told both our lives were in danger

So just questions really

LouLou0505 · 09/03/2022 08:37

@lovebeingmum9 - how did the gym go? I couldn't think of anything worse 😂 my exercise is just walking, we live surrounded by big hills which is hard but defo helping!!

@jadey1991 - a few people have said he looks like me but honestly he's his dads twin!! He just needs a beard and then they are the same 😂

@tashx - sorry you're going through that 😔 I have my birth reflections appointment today as I have lots of questions too! I'm convinced my induction led me to getting sepsis which led to my c section but I guess I'll never know!!

Me and my husband have decided we will try for another once Jack goes to school, I was certain we weren't having another baby after this first experience but I now realise I was just struggling mentally in those first few weeks. But I will 100% be having a planned c section next time. I've had my waters go, I felt contractions I don't feel like I've missed out there and I don't feel like pushing a baby out 😂

jadey1991 · 09/03/2022 10:48

@tashx aww hun yeah I can see why you feel the way you do.... can't your health visitor tell you this? Or ask gp to refer you for a debrief? X

Hi @Tashx aw Jesse looks beautiful and cheeky! 😊 I hope you get the answers you want....a traumatic experience lasts a lifetime and in labourcis no different. My traumatic labour from almost 8yrs ago is still at the front of my mind and has caused extreme anxiety in my other pregnancies and labour's I just count my blessing I was able to bring him home when so many don't! I was able to see my birth notes and they completely covered their own asses by saying it was a 'normal' straight forward delivery and took a couple of mins to get baby out when infact it was almost 5 etc 😓 I know I should have taken it further but I honestly was still in shock and just grateful to have my healthy son after all.

@loulou yes it was great thanks....I did 45mins in the gym Monday,1hr at zumba last night and I'm booked in for yoga tomorrow evening! Getting a bit of ME back 😊 aw haha that's the trouble its completely flat where we live! Bet that's beautiful though and walkings the best exercise there is.....glad your labour experience hasn't put you off having another baby in the future! Sounds like you have a nice plan getting Jack off to school when 2nd arrives.....I know I'm going to sound totally crazy and irresponsible to many of you (seeing as I'm a mother of 5 already) But I just can't be 100% sure that we are done with the baby stage yet!? Maybe I will always feel like this and it's just because I love being a mum and its been a big part of who I am over the last 10yrs.....suppose I find it strange closing the door so to speak 🤣 Hence why I'm trying to busy myself....but I get asked all the time 'any more' and I just don't know 😬 x

LouLou0505 · 09/03/2022 16:57

@lovebeingmum9 - you are brilliant!!
The first few weeks I was honestly certain I couldn't do it again but seeing Jack grow is amazing and I just think I have to give him a sibling if I can!

I think you should just say never say never 😂 I can see why you'd want more it just fills your heart!

I had my birth reflections today...

So they think my infection might have been in my membranes but they will never know. The biggest thing is she thinks I was anaemic but it wasn't dealt with!!

I was in tablets when I was a teen and the whole first trimester I was very dizzy and weak, I had blood tests but they never said anything to me. I then had lots of blood tests through pregnancy due to itching I had but they never even gave me those results!

So she's said I need to go and get some bloods done now and keep an eye on it. And then when we do want to try again she said I should get a blood test done before we start!

It's a bit frustrating 🤷🏻‍♀️

On a brighter note, this is my view this afternoon 😍

Interesting reading all your updates! Lovely seeing the pictures of little ones too. Our little madam had her jabs today. People aren't lying when they say they are brutal!

She's a good weight and very very long for her age. Where do your little ones sleep during the day? We have a Moses basket downstairs (next to me up) but she is literally the length of the basket now. I'm apprehensive to put her upstairs each time she wants a nap...

Also anyone noticed their little one being clingy? She's fine with us but is now crying whenever anyone else holds her, including grandparents. She was fine last week but these last few days she only wants us!

How do you get a birth reflections appointment? I'd love to know more about my c section and why I failed to progress etc

LouLou0505 · 09/03/2022 18:09

@Theawkwardblonde - in jacks red book was a little card with a number. If you call your hospital and ask them they should put you through to them and you'll be able to book an appointment ☺️

2020mission · 09/03/2022 18:39

@Theawkwardblonde we are in a flat right now so we just move his bedside crib to the living room for day time naps. It's got wheels and it's a flat so it's easy enough! I never bought a moses masket for the reason I assumed it would become too small too quickly. Typically Matthew has gained weight slowly and was born small so I actually would have got more use out of one than I thought 😅 that was a lovely photo of Sofia by the way! How was she after the vaccinations? I'm supposed to be going for a lunch the day after Matthew's but not sure if I can leave him with grandparents to do that if he's not himself the next day. As for other people, Matthew definitely doesn't really smile or make laugh noises with them and only does with my husband and me so far so he does seem to favour us but I haven't noticed him crying much when they hold him... yet!

jadey1991 · 09/03/2022 19:28

@Theawkwardblonde Josiah sleeps on the sofa bed that we have in front room during the day. I haven't noticed Josiah being clingy at the moment but he does like to stay on my breast for comfort. Most of the day he is in his bouncer laughing away and cooing.... I so love it when he does that...

I don't know if I can put videos up on here. But he is sooo adorable. Love it when he is happy. We went to my dads today to see my Nan who has Alzheimer's... she still remembers me now and when I was pregnant and was so happy to see her great grandson. 💙💚
