@jadey1991 out of curiosity... did you co sleep with your other kids? And if so was it easy to transition from it? I'm still doing it but eventually want to get our bed back 😅 it does work really well for us now though and especially with the breastfeeding during the night.

tashx · 15/02/2022 00:51

@jadey1991
Would love to know the answer to this 😂

Curlymam88 · 15/02/2022 06:14

I did with my 9yo until she was about 2 max. I made a fuss about how exciting it was for her to have a big bed etc...she was fine with it eventually. She was old enough to understand. Although, she did have the odd night in with me on a weekend for example.

jadey1991 · 15/02/2022 13:33

@2020mission lol exactly..: yes I did co sleep with my other children. Yes it was so easy to get them into there own beds. To be fault they were excited. I got my eldest in her own bed at the age of 2 and youngest aged 2... I put them in toddler beds. They really liked having the own beds. The only time they came into our bed was when they were poorly.
However there were times I had my youngest in bed with us as I breastfed her till she was 3

@tashx to be fair it's easy if you started from the age of 2 or younger because they understand a little more x

@jadey1991
All my others were angel babies
Never got in my bed , slept thru the night at six weeks

Jesse is a night monster 😂 he hates his crib so always in my bed

2020mission · 15/02/2022 15:59

Thanks @Curlymam88 @jadey1991 I don't think I'll keep it up until he's 2 though 😆 but good to know you did get them moved at that point and all was well!

How is everyone's little ones? Matthew's 💩 pattern has changed to every other day in the last few days (he's 7 weeks) so that's the main new thing here. Used to be doing it 3 or 4 times a day! I'm loving less nappy changes but is a sudden change normal?

jadey1991 · 15/02/2022 16:14

@2020mission Josiah is doing well.. he has his 6 week check next week Tuesday( it was suppose to been this week but it got cancelled) and he also has his immunisations next week Friday(was suppose to be tomorrow but can't have them done till 6 week check up)
Got the other 2 children at home as it's half term for them...
Josiah's 💩 has changed to.. it's also every other day.. but does at least 2 in one day
How are you doing and Matthew?

@tashx aww bless you hun. Joshua has got better at sleeping at night

Hope everyone is okay. Been busy here so just reading everyone's updates!

@2020mission baby S has gone to every other day for 💩. She's bottle fed though, but HV said it's fine.

Having a few issues with the little one. She has oral thrush somehow despite not being breast fed or born vaginally (I don't have it either). Doctor reckons she will have picked it up orally but we have no idea where from. She's uncomfortable feeding with it which isn't great, but on some medicine so hopefully it'll shift it.
Also has an umbilical granuloma, which is a bit of flesh left on belly button. It's not infected but keeps bleeding/weeping. Doctors have seen her and said just use barrier cream. Both of these have her very uncomfortable which isn't great 🤦🏼‍♀️ still, poor mite is sleeping really well on a night, has a feed at 1 but goes back to sleep until 7.

jadey1991 · 15/02/2022 21:49

@Theawkwardblonde I've been told that babies get Oral thrush through bottle feeding mostly. Although some babies can get it through breastfeeding.. glad she is doing well despite being uncomfortable. How old is she now?

@jadey1991 doctor seemed to think otherwise - who knows 😂 she's 6 weeks on Thursday. Weighing 10 pounds 4 too (was 7 13 at birth) so thriving. She's still feeding, just seems really uncomfortable bless her.

jadey1991 · 16/02/2022 00:47

@Theawkwardblonde that's really good weight. Glad she is still feeding. Hopefully she gets better soon. Big hugs 🤗

Hi ladies!

Jack had his jabs today. He was really good, screamed for about 10seconds with each one which broke my heart!!

Gave him milk and Calpol straight away and we got back into bed and had cuddles.

He's been fine all day, still having his playtimes with me and his bath. Can defo feel he's got a temp tonight but we're already in bed and he's in with me tonight.

Going to keep on the Calpol and hopefully once he's slept it off he'll be ok.

Hope everyone's doing ok!! Xx

jadey1991 · 16/02/2022 22:01

@LouLou0505 aww what a brave boy jack. Glad he is doing well. Hope the calpol works for him. We are doing alright over here. Josiah has hops jabs next week

I can't believe how much Dexter still wakes through the night! He has a 4 hour stretch to start the night but now he's just woken again after 1.5 hours for another feed 😩 I tried settling him back down rather than feeding him and he got so upset he regurgitated milk out of his nose and now he's done a poo - so much easier to just let him feed, but surely this is too much to still be waking every 1 5-2 hours??? I really thought I'd have better sleep by now 😒

jadey1991 · 17/02/2022 10:04

@burtle4 are u up breastfeeding hun? If so don't worry about him over feeding.. it's called cluster feeding..: don't worry Josiah isn't settling much unless I'm laying down with him. He tends to score up and cry so loud.

OP posts:
burtle4 · 17/02/2022 10:07

@jadey1991 yes breast feeding, I don't mind him cluster feeding through the day and evening but would have thought by now he'd be able to sleep a little longer at night! I couldn't get back to sleep after one of the feeds so ended up doing two without any sleep in between 🤦‍♀️ combine that with school run this morning and I'm dead on my feet!

jadey1991 · 17/02/2022 11:00

@burtle4 aww bless you hun, do you think he might have colic or reflux? Are you using anything before his feeds??
I didn't realise your still doing school run, my girls are off for half term.. 🤦🏽‍♀️

OP posts:
burtle4 · 17/02/2022 11:06

@jadey1991 our half term is next week, can't wait! No colic or reflux, he is just waking to feed unfortunately so not sure there's much I can do about it, guess he's just a hungry baby! Considering giving him a bottle of formula for his last feed before bed but reluctant to give him anything other than my milk at the mo so will give it a bit longer and see what happens...

jadey1991 · 17/02/2022 11:32

@burtle4 try giving him a little bit of infacol before a feed. It may help settle his stomach after a feed. I give it to Josiah. You don't have to but just a thought. And I bet you can't wait. My girls go back on Monday

OP posts:
burtle4 · 17/02/2022 11:34

Thanks @jadey1991 will give it a go x

jadey1991 · 17/02/2022 12:22
