Hi ladies!

Finally caught up this morning while feeding Jack 😂

So lovely to see updates of the babies! I still find it crazy how quick it's going. We went from really early pregnancy, to the first kicks, to all waiting for updates on what baby popped out next to them now frowning and changing so fast!!

Little Jack was 7 weeks on Saturday and is 12lbs already! He's such a big boy but he's doing so well!

We've started a bit of a routine but we'll see how that lasts after his jabs next week 😩

We are taking him swimming on Saturday. There's a lovely private pool near us so as he LOVES bath time we thought we'd take him, my husband is so excited 😂

Over the last week I've found myself actually missing being pregnant 😳 which is weird because I really didn't think I'd miss it at all! I saw some of you are thinking about the next baby which I think is great! I personally am still too traumatised from my section to want another but I'm going to book my debrief so that might change my mind 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here he is mid dance with mumma, he's getting so smiley now it makes my heart burst!!

Theawkwardblonde · 07/02/2022 08:19

@2020mission yeah I'm hoping it's because they're good at night. I do think S is having a bit of a growth spurt as she is so hungry. She's feeding every hour pretty much! She's formula fed so I'm worried she's over feeding.

@jadey1991 it is hard. I do try and out her down after she's gone to sleep on my chest but she then just screams the house down. I know she's little but I don't want to get her too clingy if that makes sense.

@LouLou0505 glad to see you're well. Totally get the missing being pregnant. Despite me having loads of issues I do miss it. I'm patiently counting down till 6 months post section to start trying again 😂

LouLou0505 · 07/02/2022 08:28

@Theawkwardblonde - did your doctor say anything about you wanting to try again? Mine told me I need to wait about 2 years before falling pregnant. Mine was emergency but my friend who had elective was told to wait a year 🤔

IF we did have another it wouldn't be till Jack is at school

Theawkwardblonde · 07/02/2022 08:57

@LouLou0505 I've not had my 6 week GP review yet, but in hospital I was told 6 months by the consultant, and by my midwives.
Mine was an emergency, albeit a chilled one (we had a bit time before it went to emergency), and it's gone straightforward. I don't have time on my side, despite being 30 I've got low AMH (egg reserve) so only have a year or so left. There are so many differing things around sections. My friend who had an EMCS was told she could try again after 6 weeks if she really wanted!

LouLou0505 · 07/02/2022 09:50

@Theawkwardblonde - this makes me think there's more info I need about my section, there has to be a reason they've said 2 years.

Ah I get that! All fingers crossed it happens quickly for you! Do you feel nervous at all about another birth?

Theawkwardblonde · 07/02/2022 10:18

@LouLou0505 tbf I was told the longer I leave it the better it will be, and it will improve chances of a VBAC next time. I did ask what was the bare minimum I could wait to TTC. It took us nearly 2 years to conceive S with 3 miscarriages along the way. I don't want a repeat of that!
On Tommys and other sites it says you can wait 6 months too. I know doctors will have more specific advice, but it may be worth asking. I lost a lot of blood but other than that the section side was fine (medically wise).

I'm determined to have a VBAC next time. I do not want a repeat of the induction/drip as that's what traumatised me. Although now I know to get an epidural before, not wait until 13 hours later with back to back contractions.

jadey1991 · 07/02/2022 10:21

@LouLou0505 hey hun, so glad everything is going well with you. I do agree with you. We have all been on a rollercoaster together which is really nice. We have all been together from the beginning. Time is going so fast. Jack look so happy and big now. Bless him. I bet you are really excited to go swimming... so
Glad your in a routine now.

Josiah has his jabs next week I believe too. We have his 6week check up on Wednesday.
It's been so delayed over here with his check up.

jadey1991 · 07/02/2022 10:22

@Theawkwardblonde aww bless you hun. Does she have reflux?

OP posts:
LouLou0505 · 07/02/2022 10:27

@Theawkwardblonde - ah ok! Sorry you went through that 😔 some people say once you've had one things get easier 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel you on the induction! I didn't have a drip but I was induced on the Thursday, had 2 lots of the gel then waters broken at 1pm on the Saturday.

I got to 4cm and wanted my epidural (BEST THING EVER) but that's when it all went down hill they found out I had sepsis. But I am convinced i got it from the induction process so if we did have another I refuse being induced again.

I was so hopeful for my birth 😔

LouLou0505 · 07/02/2022 10:28

@jadey1991 - I see Josiah is a chunk too 😂 it's funny we were both told our babies were a smaller size in our scans and yet look at them 😂😂

Theawkwardblonde · 07/02/2022 10:34

@LouLou0505 I got to bloody 4cm too and got stuck 🤦🏼‍♀️ waters went day before Induction with no contractions so my only option was the drip. I was hyper stimulated so had back to back contractions. Worst pain I've ever felt. S started going into distress later on and I had the urge to push. Turns out she was sideways so wouldn't have come out either way 😂 I do think interventions etc will lead to stuff like sepsis. Are you all recovered now?

I get you on the hopeful front 😞 I was heartbroken over my birth. I feel like such a failure still even though I know now it was only going to bed in a section. I blame my waters going but no contractions for everything that happened.

I've heard you're more fertile so I'm adamant I want to take advantage of that, but not too soon if that makes sense? Plus DH is 35, which I know isn't old but he feels he is getting on a bit and doesn't want to be much older with a second one.

@jadey1991 I don't think she has reflux, she always winds well etc. she's like a new baby today! Having full bottles and is actually sleeping right now!! 😂

jadey1991 · 07/02/2022 13:13

@LouLou0505 yes he defo is a chunk.. he is 14lbs now... yes I agree. I was thinking I'll be having a 7lbs+ baby. Not a 9lbs6oz baby🤣🤣

We was going for a walk today. He looks so sweet..

@Theawkwardblonde aww bless.. I was going to say if she did have that maybe trying infacol on her... that worked/works a treat on Josiah. I have no problems with him now. He is happy and is sleeping well. On the odd occasion he can be a little upset

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 07/02/2022 13:22

@Theawkwardblonde aww bless you. You really want to get going again. Good luck to you both I hope it works for you. I'm 31 with my 3 kids. I'm happy. I'm not planning on having anymore.. the gaps between my kids aren't great. I wished they were only 2 /3. Years apart but unfortunately they ain't there is a 6-7 year gap

OP posts:
Theawkwardblonde · 07/02/2022 13:33

@jadey1991 aww look at his face! They're all growing so quick. S is now 10 pounds 4, seems so much compared to her birth weight.
I do have infacol in just in case, but as I say I think it's more cluster feeding due to a growth spurt. HV today said the same too that's it's just cluster feeding.
I definitely want to get going again. Im so impatient! I had it planned that I wanted 2 by 30 but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

jadey1991 · 07/02/2022 14:04

@Theawkwardblonde he is adorable.. he looks like my other half so much. He is his twin.. Seth is a good weight. How long did she sleep for?
To be fair I lost 2 babies. 1 in 2009 and 1 in 2013.. ever since then it's been difficult getting pregnant. Josiah is a miracle baby. I didn't think I could have anymore

Curlymam88 · 08/02/2022 20:21

I love seeing all the babies photos. Absolutely gorgeous they all are.
Leola had her jabs today...shes bot veen happy since. Really grizzly and just wants to be held. I asked about taking the calpol to the appointment and they said because 1 of the vaccines is a live vaccine that it could react? With the other vaccines and cause their temperature to rise so they were pretty insistent on giving her the calpol x3 every 4 hours.

jadey1991 · 08/02/2022 21:42

@Curlymam88 aww bless her, I'm dreading when Josiah has his... how is she nose? Has she had a temp!?

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 09/02/2022 06:12

Shes been a bit grizzly through the night but no temperature. If she continues to be grizzly after this feed I think ill give her a dose of calpol.

jadey1991 · 09/02/2022 07:30

@Curlymam88 aww bless her. Glad she hasn't had no temp.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 09/02/2022 08:37

She has a slight one. I gave her some calpol with her feed this morning.

jadey1991 · 09/02/2022 09:28

@Curlymam88 aww bless I hope she gets better soon. Josiah is 2 months old today. 🥺🥺honestly I can't believe how big he has got. Time has flown by..

Curlymam88 · 09/02/2022 09:39

@jadey1991 thank you! I know, they've all grown so quick. Time has gone so fast. Leola doesn't feel like a newborn baby any more. Shes holding her head up by herself and shes quite strong so dont feel like a baby any more!

jadey1991 · 09/02/2022 13:29

@Curlymam88 haha yes same here. Josiah is the same x
