Just found out we are pregnant after 13 months of trying - based on last period will be due august 19th.

Any others with similar time like to join to support one another?

@firsttimemumca Thank you! I had some blood work done privately and all my pregnancy hormones have skyrocketed! I used to be very sensitive with birth control pills and couldn't really tolerate them. I guess it kinda explains why I'm having very severe morning sickness.

I had a scan December too because I was deemed pregnancy of unknown location initially, but repeat scan showed a yolk sac then January scan showed my little nugget. Oh it does seem time is so slow. Can't wait! Hope your scan goes well!

Welcome @KitsuneDream you and I are v. similar on dates. I’m due 25th Aug and have my 12 week scan in mid Feb. I was really ill weeks 5-7 but it’s calmed down a bit - just 24/7 nausea.

Sorry if anything I said made you anxious @KCat82 I’m sure your booking in appt will go really well and you’ll have a lovely midwife! 🌟

@netflixandnochill oh that's nice we have very similar due dates. Great to hear your morning sickness has calmed down. I'm still at my peak I think, but really hoping it will be better soon.

My husband didn't shut the fridge properly this morning, it ended up not closed for about 6 hours. Not wide open but open about 1cm. Is is safe for me to still eat the crab/fish stick from the fridge. I'm afraid of food poisoning the baby.

@Spottybutterfly I wouldn't do that personally. Better to throw it out/not risk food poisoning tbh

Oh I forgot to say we're in England so it's not very warm, the house is maybe 19 degrees Celsius at most.

i think even not being pregnant i would probably leave it. always air on the side of caution with fish, chicken and pork ☺️

i'd send husband down the shops to get you some more since he left it open 😂

I’ve just tested positive for Covid and although I knew it was coming (12 children from my class have tested positive so far) I’m absolutely petrified. I don’t feel well, like a bad cold with a gluey cough. Has anyone had Covid recently whilst pregnant and how were you?

It was good - saw the little thing and it had a good heartbeat flickering away.
Impatiently waiting for 10am on Sunday to make sure it's still okay!

I've convinced the hubby to let me bin the fish sticks. Im happy to risk the other things in the fridge.

@Nik84 hope you're not feeling too bad! I've not had it yet but my SIL did recently when she was around 5 weeks - felt quite flu-y for 4-5 days but she and baby were fine. She'd had the first two vaccines.

Woke up this morning with awful stomach pains. Started panicking and stressing out. Then I passed the gas 🤦

Got another scan today pretty excited again to see this little bean again was going to tell family this weekend if all went well today but partner has changed his mind so slightly gutted at that tbh! Should be 9 + 1 doing going off the last scan we had! X

I'm starting to get nervous about my 12 week scan on Friday. Think it might be why I'm suddenly waking up in the night, which is unhelpful because then the nausea and sickness starts and I've got a good routine with my meds for daytime and don't want to mess that up.

I’m very frustrated this morning as I’ve started needing to wee loads during the night (third time work me up completely). Seems a bit unfair for sleep to be affected so early when I (hopefully) have two further trimesters and then many years for sleepless nights! 😂

Thanks for the reassurance @Mufflette I’ve had both doses and booster so hopefully baby and I are protected as much as possible. At least I no longer need to worry about getting pregnant or catching Covid 🤣

@popgoesbang we too have our 12 week scan next week which is Wednesday. But by early scan I should be 13weeks by then. I am really nervous but can't wish the time away quick enough until then!

Same @BluePear, my 12 week scan is on Wednesday too! Counting down the days, it can’t come around quick enough. Feeling very nervous as not had any scans yet this time 😬

Feels mad how far apart the 12 week scans are, mine isn't until mid Feb! So excited for all of you ☺️

When I had my early scan, the date makes me 9+3 today. But at my booking in appt yesterday they go by my LMP and put me at 10+5. I wonder if I'll get my 12 week scan earlier as a result?!?
