Hello,

Just found out we are pregnant after 13 months of trying - based on last period will be due august 19th.

Any others with similar time like to join to support one another?

Hi all hoping to join in Smile
Due around 7th Aug so 10w6d now (although early scan showed Dates 4days ahead). Have 13yo and 10yo so feeling like previous pregnancies were a life time ago!

It has been good reading your posts and I too feel like these weeks dragging! Really want to tell people now but 12 week scan isn’t until 26th.
Have been tired and I am SO MOODY! Poor hubby getting the bad end of it!

Anyone else feeling moody and emotional?

CoalCraft · 15/01/2022 21:38

Uch this bleeding is getting to me. It's so light but so constant - just why!? Must keep reminding myself it was the same (possibly actually worse) with DD, but just... Uch.

Scan at the epu on Monday🤞. Sounds daft but I'd have loved a pregnancy where there was no need to scan till 12 weeks Sad

Nik84 · 16/01/2022 13:08

@3rdBabyDue I’m also pregnant with my 3rd and will be 9 weeks on Monday too! My symptoms disappeared overnight a couple of days ago. I’ve also been worried, I’m sure everything’s just fine for us both though!

StayWeird · 16/01/2022 19:49

@CoalCraft I hope all goes well at your scan tomorrow x

I have mine at the EPU booked for Tuesday due to bleeding as well, such an anxious time x

netflixandnochill · 16/01/2022 20:16

Good luck to all those with scans this week 🍀

CoalCraft · 16/01/2022 20:49

@StayWeird It's horrible isn't it? Crossing my fingers for you for Tuesday xx

Isonthecase · 16/01/2022 21:02

Hope all those having scans find them helpful, I'm sure time will fly fly by until them! It's all starting to sink in now, starting to get the feeling of what on earth have I got myself in for 😱

PopGoesBang · 16/01/2022 21:15

Yes, good luck to all those with scans. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.

I've had the worst day today with the hypermisis. Broke down and cried so much that my mum came round to rally the troops, give out some mum hugs and generally make it all seem a bit brighter. For that I am forever grateful. Since the whole covid situation mum has been shielding and being very cautious as she has several health issues, but today felt like a bit of normal.

Hope everyone has gentle starts to the week.

Beth262 · 16/01/2022 21:34

@CoalCraft and @StayWeird Hoping all goes well for you both tomorrow and Tuesday and you get some peace of mind.

@PopGoesBang Sorry to hear you're having such a rotten day with sickness but pleased that it's given you a brief taste of normal with your mum if nothing else.

Hope everyone else is doing ok x

mamaof2girls · 17/01/2022 10:07

@CoalCraft good luck with your scan today! X

3rdBabyDue · 17/01/2022 13:20

Hi everyone been for scan turns out I’m actually 9 weeks 3 days and everything is good. The no symptoms is just something some of us go through n then hinted on myths could be a boy LOL. X

KCat82 · 17/01/2022 13:57

Hi everyone. Been considering posting this for a couple of days because I feel it may sound really silly. Basically, I'm worried because I don't "feel pregnant". I've not been pregnant before so how would I know? It seems to me that everyone has really sore boobs but for me, my nipples are sometimes a bit tender and that's it. Whilst I get that I'll be the envy of all of you experiencing nausea and sickness, but for me I've felt a little nauseous now and again, I felt awful Saturday Eve and couldn't sleep but apart from that, hardly anything. It just makes me really worried. Had a scan at 6+4 and saw heartbeat and have another booked for next Saturday when I'll be 9+3 but that feels a long way off.

Has anyone had so few symptoms??? Hope I'm not alone on this....
@3rdBabyDue so glad yours went well 😊

PopGoesBang · 17/01/2022 14:03

@KCat82 - I think you certainly won't be alone. I've heard of lots of people with no symptoms and they are just bumbling along until the scans to know everything is ok. It's a weird old limbo time. Nothing to really show for it, can't really talk about it. All these changes happening but you can't see it.
I am sure everything will be grand at the next scan and put your mind at ease.

SantiagoSister · 17/01/2022 14:54

@KCat82 I’m in the exact same position as you. I’m 10+5 weeks today and I still haven’t had a single symptom. I’ve not had any scans yet and go for my 12 week scan next week - hoping everything will be fine 🤞🏼 In my first pregnancy I never experienced any nausea or sickness, only slightly sore boobs for a couple of weeks and an increased sense of smell. Absolutely nothing this time round, I wouldn’t even know I was pregnant unless I had tested all those weeks ago. I’m hoping this is totally normal and we will both get good news at our upcoming scans 🙏

Isonthecase · 17/01/2022 15:58

@KCat82 it's pretty normal, I think the placenta is starting to take over so symptoms should reduce now

CoalCraft · 17/01/2022 17:27

Welp, scan today went well :) Seemingly happy, healthy little nugget inside, growing as expected.

Still no explanation about the bleeding though. The sonographer said there was no sign of bleeding within the uterus so it must be coming from downstream of there, either the cervix or vaginal canal I guess, though I'm just guessing really. Sounds stupid given how uncomfortable it is but I was hoping someone would, you know, take a look up there and see if anything was obviously wrong. But I didn't see a doctor at all, only sonographer and nurse.

The lack of curiosity and willingness to say "just one of those things" just grates on me a bit. Though must focus on the big, giant positive that baby is okay!

KCat82 · 17/01/2022 17:50

Thanks everyone for reassurance re lack of symptoms. I'll just have to wait it out, I'll try anyway 🤣. Every day feels like a week at the moment.
@CoalCraft glad to hear scan went well and baby is doing well.
Could you not make an appt with your GP re the bleeding. It seems the nurse has ruled out it being obviously pregnancy related and if you weren't pregnant and has a vaginal bleed that wasn't af, surely the doc would want to check it out 🤔

mamaof2girls · 17/01/2022 18:09

@CoalCraft that's good that everything went well I was told the same even though I have a cyst she said that doesn't cause bleeding but she did say to me it could be more the cervix than the womb! I hadn't bleed since the scan last week and today I have had little bits again. Got a scan Saturday as I had booked that ages ago and already paid deposit so that will keep my mind a ease again! X

CoalCraft · 17/01/2022 19:40

@mamaof2girls and @KCat82 Thanks both, was such a relief to hear that baby was growing well!

KCat, interesting point re. GP. I actually have a history of unexplained vaginal spotting, having had it for many years before conceiving DC1 while on combined pill. I was checked for infection and had my exact pill dosage changed around but after that everyone I spoke too just shrugged. This is what I mean by lack of medical curiosity!! It went away when I came off combined pill, then back in first trimester when pregnant with DC1, then gone in later pregnancy and while on mini pill, now it's back again with DC2.

I feel like there's something wrong with my cervix that's set off by... Oestrogen? Something hormonal anyway. But I can't seem to get any Dr interested 🤷 And no one can tell me if it was linked to DC1 being born early, either.

Sorry for rant lol

Beth262 · 18/01/2022 11:53

@CoalCraft Wonderful news that all was well but so frustrating about the lack of answers (and interest!) about the bleeding!

Everything crossed for no more 🤞

Plates2022 · 18/01/2022 12:20

Anyone else's scan this week?
Mine is tomorrow at 9am and I am so so nervous, send all your calming thoughts 😂❤️

CoalCraft · 18/01/2022 12:56

@Beth262 Thank you! I feel a bit silly about that rant now tbh - it hardly matters when baby is okay!

@Plates2022 Good luck, keep yourself busy today - this time tomorrow you will have seen your lovely little bab xx

Beth262 · 18/01/2022 13:14

@CoalCraft We all need a good rant now and again!

StayWeird · 18/01/2022 15:43

I had my scan at the EPU earlier and received the awful news that I have miscarried 😞💔 This last week has been such a horrible, anxious time, it's not the news I'd hoped for but I did have a strong feeling that there was something wrong and at least now I have confirmation. The staff at the EPU were very kind.

Thank you for the support that I've had on this thread, I'm wishing you all a stress free and happy pregnancy going forwards x

PopGoesBang · 18/01/2022 15:54

@StayWeird I'm so sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourself and I hope you have people around you to support you too. Take care x
