My Christmas present to myself appears to be constipation, I've just come up to bed (mainly so I could put loose fit pjs on) and I looked about 6 months pregnant which was all bloat...lucky me! Need to get some and mainline peppermint tea!

@larrythelizard when I was in the earlier weeks I looked about the same as now, I couldn't fit into my jeans all of a sudden then it went down thank god

After today though I honestly look nearly full term cos of the food 🙈but it's ok cos I was given my first piece of maternity wear some really funky sparkly leggings 🥰

@Sunbird24 we eat about 2.30/3pm so we only really have 2 meals today & we do most presents after the meal too so that was about 5.30/6pm, DS gets a stocking before then a couple of presents to open through the day to keep him occupied, ones we can play. Have you told your family?

Hope everyone's had a lovely Christmas! Been a full on day with DS after waking up with period like heavy pains and backache thinking oh no please don't come now! Thankfully it eased off so I think I just overdid it cleaning yesterday. Will catch up properly tomorrow but hope everyone's had a great day

@Minster2012 yes, told them when I first arrived as it explained why I would need a sofa nap most afternoons, and couldn’t have alcohol! They’d already bought crackers with cans of pre-mixed cocktails in though, so we still had those and I just didn’t drink mine. Christmas pud felt quite boozy though, even without the usual extra brandy for lighting! Only me and my parents so we all had a lie in til lunchtime, then got up and started preparing dinner slow time - didn’t start eating til about 4.30!
Love hearing how the Christmases with little ones have gone, and agree those babygros are adorable!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! TSD/Dexter had a great day being charming as anything to all visitors then head butting me in the face and giving me a fat lip as my present. What a delight 😂

@Kate105 ahhh you see all the best DCs are the epitome of angels for everyone else using up all their good behaviour so we get left with all the bad behaviour 😂. DS had the BIGGEST of tantrums this morning as he wouldn't brush his teeth so we said no chocolate today then. he's been having a massive meltdown since then wanting chocolate for breakfast. He was a delight yesterday 🙈

Over at the in laws later walking in the drizzle & where the newest addition to the male clan will be for more chaos, let's hope DS is saving best behaviour for then

Oh I had a nice non-alcoholic pressé thing, it was great! Had a MC in my dream last night, so feeling all discombobulated, especially as I’m around the time it usually goes wrong, and wondering if my body is trying to tell me something. The first available private scan date is the day before my scan with the clinic, so not worth bothering with!

That sounds like a really horrible dream @Sunbird24 poor you. Hope you're alright.

All ok here except family members who were meant to be coming today have had a positive LFT so just us today, which is a bit of a shame but also quite nice as means it's more relaxed and I can have some more lazing.

Dragging DS and OH for a walk later though, haven't walked for days...

Hey all hope you had a lovely Christmas Day despite a lot of us having to spent it without family. It was just DH and me this year but we made the most of it.

@Minster2012 the weather in Essex is crap... our garden is like a bog and having to take the disabled dog on the grass (well mud!) for a wee is a nightmare atm as so slippery!

I've been really Swedish today and spent the afternoon with my parents at IKEA as they wanted to browse for a new kitchen. So gloomy with a permanent fog all day!

@Sunbird24 MC dreams sound very common so hopefully it's just your brain messing with you and nothing in it ❤️. Our scans are just next week basically (now that it's basically Monday)

When are your scans @Sunbird24 and @Juno231? I've booked one now for 7th Jan where I'll be 8+4 based on LMP (so actually a week behind).

Lovely lazy day @feliznavidad2 - we've had one of those today, family coming up tomorrow so more socialising then.

DS was mainly obsessed by the umbrella Santa got him, as well as the beanie with a light in. Although I think that might have given him a rash, it was a cheapo Amazon thing!

I've felt dreadful all day today but hopefully starting to feel a bit better. Flybogel a part of that I think!

@larrythelizard mines on the 4th at 8+1. I think sunbird is on the 6th? Busy week for this group scan wise!

Glad to hear everyone had a good Christmas 😊 we've just arrived home so spent the last few hours sorting Christmas presents out again so our house is a tip and playing children's board games which are far more rubbish and complicated then I ever remember as a child.

Sounds a lot of you have scans first week of January. I'm with you too @feliznavidad2 we have our 20 week scan 30th December, think that's the same day as @clolo for gender too 😊

Hey all I’ve been admitted and given the gel pessary at 6.30pm despite being 2cm. Gutted they didn’t just break my waters! I’m in the shared induction ward for now.
Stuck on the heart rate monitor so can’t move around to try and get things going or ease the backache/cramps 😔 it keeps beeping so they don't want me off it and it's worrying every time it beeps! Husbands had to leave at 8pm and not allowed back until 12 tomorrow. Long night ahead!

Oh that's tough he's not allowed back (presumably unless things hot up @2020mission). Are you prepared with stuff to watch etc? You could ask a midwife next time you see one about what the beeping is to set your mind at rest? And whoop your baby will be here soon!

Hope all goes well for you @2020mission and DH is there for the most important bit!
