@Minster2012 ah exciting to be seeing your baby girl again! Hope all goes swimmingly

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 09:21

Oh no don't get to see her @Juno231 but I'm hoping she'll try the Doppler & maybe o can actually HEAR a heartbeat for the first time 😊🤞🏻

Thanks for the medals ladies, will use them to line OH's coffin if he doesn't get his shit together. He has been warned 😂

So sleep demon actually only woke twice last night (yay) but was awake for over an hour each time (boo). Unsure as to whether this is progress or not. Meanwhile we are booked in to do nice crafty Christmas things today but sleep demon has remembered that sleep is for the weak so is choosing to forgo his nap this morning so he can be extra grumpy and vile to the nice lady at the craft shop.

I did let the sleep demon take the blame for my vicious fart this morning, which only makes me feel marginally better.

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 09:37

Yeah I don't think they always do @clolo & my SIL was worried from her 16 week app when they couldn't find it. There's always something to worry about isn't there

DKDK123 · 09/12/2021 10:17

@Kirky658 what a bitch the nurse doing your smear 😡 Glad to hear you're finding the therapy helpful tho.

@crazydoglady not to scare you just to give you the heads up just incase but once my bleeding was coupled with ketones and protein in my urine that's when they decided I'd have to stay in hospital until baby was born (think it was around 30ish weeks). Just to make sure you have lots of things pre packed to keep you busy just incase your midwife today decides its best you're kept in for a few weeks till baby comes. Hopefully they don't make you stay in long term but be prepared just incase.

@minster2012 hope they manage to let you hear baby's heart beat today ♥

@kate105 they definitely choose times when you have something planned to ditch the naps and be extra grumpy.....but I think you got some good revenge making him take the blame for the fart 😂

Kirky658 · 09/12/2021 10:22

@kate105 hahhaa sleep demon, love it. Alice is refusing to nap in the day unless it's on me... She's napping right now on my chest but if I move her there will be hell to pay... I need the loo but hey 😅

paintfairy · 09/12/2021 10:40

@Kate105 🤣 it sounds like the craft lady is in for some fun!
@Minster2012 I don't think it ever gets less nerve wracking? Because no matter what stage it is you are worried they'll suddenly say something is wrong! It would be nice if it could be enjoyable. Like they pretend it is when you are 10. 🤣 I hope it all goes well.

Crazydoglady123 · 09/12/2021 10:54

@DKDK123 oh really? After being admitted Monday I now have a hospital bag in my car. ketones and proteins still in my urine so my midwife has sent them off to be tested. I'm just waiting to go back on the CTG as she's been quiet again this morn but typically now I'm sat here waiting I've felt a couple of kicks. I'm thinking of trying to book a private scan tomorrow just to see if that puts my mind at rest.

@Minster2012 good luck today

2020mission · 09/12/2021 10:56

@Minster2012 love the strong heartbeat you shared on Instagram 💕 I'm glad they let you listen as some midwives refuse at 16 weeks. I only first heard my boy's at 21 weeks! So that's one less thing to worry about given you've got work happening at home today to deal with 😅

Juno231 · 09/12/2021 11:08

@Minster2012 the heart beat was so lovely to hear ♥️.

It's funny what you ladies are saying about listening to heart beats though, I thought they'd do our way earlier than that. It doesn't help that my friend went for a scan this week at 10+ weeks and they let her listen to the heartbeat! Rules all over the place lol

paintfairy · 09/12/2021 11:18

@Minster2012 💕 I heard it, I heard it. Awww, that's so amazing!

blackcurrantqueen · 09/12/2021 11:54

@Minster2012 that gave me the warm and fuzzies. And made me cry. Sorry 😂😂😂 I'm too hormonal and emotional and the other bus news has totally got me too 😂😂

They don't use the Doppler basically at all round here! Will report back if they do on Monday at my 34 week appt! 😂

Sunbird24 · 09/12/2021 12:48

My viability scan has been booked for 6th Jan at 2pm, so definitely don’t wait for me @Juno231!

Crazydoglady123 · 09/12/2021 13:14

Amazing videos @Minster2012 💗 Are you feeling more reassured again?

Two hours in the hospital today (but my local, smaller community one)... ketones were still 3+ and proteins 1+. Did a CTG again as she's been quiet again today but all was okay. The midwife's are a bit confused as to what's going on. I did three urine samples there and drank a jug of water and they came down a bit on the last sample but they've sent my urine off to be tested. One my second sample when I got off the toilet there was some blood in the bottom of the loo which freaked me out but we weren't sure if the toilet wasn't flushed properly from one of the post natal women on the ward. Third sample I had no blood in loo or on paper but I've got to go back to the main hospital if I does happen. They requested me an urgent scan, of which the hospital has just called with an appointment tonight at 5pm. I've been booked a consultant appointment on 4th Jan. I've got to re do another glucose blood test and go back in Sunday and Wednesday for more CTG's. She thinks the consultant gave me steroids not so much in case spontaneous labour starts early, more so if I bleed again they may want to get her out. I'm also measuring 2cm smaller than she measured me at my last appointment 2 weeks ago but she's 3/5 engaged so it could be that. Hopefully I get some reassurance off the scan later as I feel stressed AF at the minute!

DKDK123 · 09/12/2021 14:03

@Crazydoglady123 big hugs it's really scary when you don't know what's happening. If your urine results come back still high for protein there's a very good chance they may get you to stay in the hospital till baby's born as its a sign of pre-eclampsia that they need to monitor. I had to pee into a bowl every time I needed the loo from then so they could measure total urine output daily, urine was tested daily, baby's heart trace was checked daily (if not more) and BP checked multiple times a day so try not to worry if they do tell you that you are kept in, it just means they can give you the best monitoring possible so that they can decide when best to take baby out so it's not too early for baby but not too late to be dangerous for you. As I said previously despite the pre-eclampsia and passing blood clots the size of my hand frequently (along with my other issues), they still let me keep baby in for nearly another 5 weeks I just had to be on bed rest in hospital so try not stress that they're imminently going to whisk baby out if they make you stay in, hopefully they'll let her cook a while longer, it might just mean you've got to be on bed rest with lots of monitoring. Massive hugs, it's a scary time I know, but it will be all worth it once she's in your arms 💕

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 16:39

@Kate105 loving your description of sleep demon saving his grump for the lovely craft lady, DS HATED having his feet painted for prints etc 😂

@2020mission I had to ask & she said they don't do it until 24 weeks but because of my history she understood (& she's now leaving that team so 😜) it was so good, she literally put it down on me & it picked it up straight away

@Juno231 yes that's what some ppl on the Facebook group said they heard theirs at reassurance scans, but we've had two & not heard it, only seen it

@blackcurrantqueen 🤗😭😭

@Sunbird24 yessss for scan date!

@Crazydoglady123 when's your actual due date? It sounds super scary but it's very nearly Scan time and hopefully all is good but sounds mega stressful. I'm a bit more reassured but as ever not much!

I've just had the most amazing 2.5hoirs at a small local spa. I got a 45 min exfoliating body scrub, a 45 min massage & 45 min facial & hot choc. All for £85! Omg I smell amazing & it was so good to just go ahhhhhhhhh relax especially as I left two guys pulling our living room apart to put in a stove 😆

Lexber · 09/12/2021 17:51

@Minster2012 how lovely was the heartbeat! ❤️ my MW would attempt to listen to mine at 16 week when I had spotting as she was worried due to not knowing position she may get Same baby twice so I had to have a scan instead. But when we had the private scan the sonographer let us hear the heartbeats for the first time and the fact OH was there and it was as we found out the sexes it was beautiful. 💖😭

Oh @Crazydoglady123 sending love o hope all is ok and as @DKDK123 if they do decide to keep you in it's so they can look after you and make sure you are both ok and safe xxxx

2020mission · 09/12/2021 18:44

@Minster2012 I like that she talked you through the heart rate. No one told me it should drop lower as the pregnancy progresses. At my last appointment baby's was about 150 bpm! Maybe he was moving at the time 😅 the midwives usually stand in silence for me watching it then just say "ok, fine" I always have to ask what it was.

Kate105 · 09/12/2021 18:53

Wishing you lots of luck @Crazydoglady123 you’re in good hands whatever happens!

So, I should have predicted this but of course sleep demon was an absolute delight to the craft lady, had the whole place in raptures with his cute smiles and gurgles and allowed her to print his tiny toes anywhere and everywhere in the most obliging manner. Then we got back to the car and he screamed so much at me he was sick and I needed a full outfit change (he didn’t get any on himself, his projectile aim is unreal).

Currently feeding the little bastard to sleep. Pray for me!

Kate105 · 09/12/2021 18:55

Also if anyone else is in sleep demon hell, I found this thread highly enjoyable www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4421052-Dying-of-no-PISSING-SLEEP-will-anyone-mourn-me

bez91 · 09/12/2021 19:26

@Crazydoglady123 sounds such a performance and worrying time you're going through. Hope everything went ok at the scan this evening

@Minster2012 lovely you got to hear the heartbeat, I was lucky enough to hear too at my 16 week appointment. Not as clearly as that though as baby wouldn't keep still! That sounds the perfect escape from men making a bloody mess is your house

@Kate105 always the way 😂 hopefully the little sleep thief gives you some respite tonight!

Can't believe the roll of BFPs going on. Madness!

DKDK123 · 09/12/2021 19:32

@Minster2012 so glad you got to hear the heartbeat 💓 your spa afternoon sounds amazing, so jealous!

@kate105 praying you get through the next few months with your sanity still somewhat in tact 😂 I'm not looking forward to going back to that bit at all, a FB memories came up on my timeline the other day of DS sleeping soundly around 2 months old and I'd written 'Don't be fooled by this angelic face sleeping peacefully, it's now 5am and it's the first he's finally decided to sleep since 10pm last night.' It gives me the fear going back to those days of walking around like a permamemt zombie, only also having to look after DS at the same time so not even able to sneak in a few cheeky daytime naps while baby sleeps 😱

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 19:36

@2020mission that doesn't sound pleasant no, yeah she's really lovely although she wasn't going to do it and I asked so she said "we don't do it until 24 weeks here but I will for you, BUT if we can't hear it I can't refer you for anything" so I'm really pleased we found it straight away!

@Lexber that sounds lovely though heating it together, I'm really pleased she let me film it as I sent it to DH saying "your baby girl for the first time" 🥰

@Kate105 oh it makes me laugh too in a "oh god what have we done again" way like @DKDK123 says...I said my search history was often "can you die from lack of sleep"

Yes the BFPs continue come on rest of Dec!!

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 19:37

Ps I also found out I'm rhesus negative today, just to add to my complications of course I would be!!
