@Vil10 so pleased you didn't do the digital, you just enjoy your time off

And @Juno231 congrats on your one that's so good 😊

Feeling really shitty & just overwhelmed today, gotta make subs pretty big expensive adulting decisions on my own (knocking out our open fire & choosing a burner/surround with one days notice) and also got a load of big deal shit at work & I just want to cry & curl up 😣

SWAttempting · 08/12/2021 10:23

@Lexber Ahhhh! I did look at Icandy, silver cross and egg - but I think side by side is better for us. DS is a NICU baby with some on going medical matters and #2 will likely be a NICU/SUBU baby so I think for my own sanity and mental health I want to see them both and tend to them both.

DS is on antibiotics daily so when he has a bad day - I want to be able to zap him with the thermometer. In April he turned septic within 2 hours from his recurrent infection cause... 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Lexber ooh yes girl there are much better drugs than gaviscon - stronger but really will help!! Give them a call.

@bez91 I have bought a few outfits now 🥰 and started decanting loft to be cleaned etc and need to actually decide what I need to buy 😂

@Minster2012 sending you love and cuddles xxx

Need to decide about double buggy. Also looked at bugaboo donkey but DD is too tall for it she wouldn't be able to have the hood down 😂 So need to rethink!
I have an icandy peach but it's an old model so not even an easy one to convert into a double, then I have a phill and teds which is good and has a second seat but baby needs to be a bit bigger it's not suitable for newborns!

Lexber · 08/12/2021 11:29

@SWAttempting
I think with different ages and the situation a side by side would work for you - I had someone trying to tell me I'd be better side to side and I was like thanks for the advice (and ignored it anyway as we all have our own preferences) 🤣🤣🤣
We will put the twins in together in a carry cot initially when small then as they grown they have their own each and I've played around with the 2 single twin ones and can have them both positioned so I can see both 💙💖
And I love that once we go into seats I can either have them Both face me, both face out or face each other!

@Minster2012 ((((hugs))))

@blackcurrantqueen all you need are the adapters to change the older version - ours isn't a newer version - maybe look into it, it will save you a fortune! You can get the extras to make it a double on eBay! Ours is peach as I loved it so much!! I looked at the newer ones but my heart went with the peach - experience told me it was a decent pushchair too x

Kirky658 · 08/12/2021 11:42

Been for my smear this morning. It HAD to be in the same room as my last midwife consultation when I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia didn't it. I explained I felt nervous because i have pnd and ptsd from the birth and she went 'well we don't always get the birth we want' I was not pleased and quite upset. Then as I'd been bleeding on my pill she took chlamydia swabs, WTAF!!!!

Lexber · 08/12/2021 11:50

What a bitch @Kirky658 I would put a complaint in as that is not the kind of attitude they should have!! I'd have expected a little compassion!!

(((((()hugs to you)))))) are you ok? Xxxxx

Rung drs, no appointments obviously ring back tomorrow... until I say I'm 18 week pregnant and magically she is booking me in! 🤣 are we in some kind of magic drop everything for us club?!
I will await my call back - right now it's so bad I feel sick and it's making me gag and cough! Not ideal I really don't want to be violently sick and piss myself for a little bit of heartburn 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Kirky658 · 08/12/2021 11:58

@lexber thank you lovely. I'm ok, I think I might have taken the comment to heart a bit but I was just on autopilot trying to make it through! I start my trauma therapy today too so it's gonna make for a traumatic day...

2020mission · 08/12/2021 13:15

Definitely agree with you all that the NT screening results are really unreliable. My uncle had odds in the teens for both his children (e.g. 1 in 18) and both were born absolutely fine! My NT screening came back at 1 in 2500 for downs. Although with the excess amniotic fluid the risk jumps higher. Without getting that more thorough blood test we're all just getting guesses really.

@Juno231 I had some light bleeding when wiping after 💩 now and again early on in the pregnancy, not fun! Thankfully it eased off and haven't had any for months so you might find it passes.

@Vil10 glad you held back on the digital so you aren't worrying unnecessarily. Especially since our hormones peak so quickly and start making the tests look fainter as time passes with the hook effect. I tested with a FRER weeks after the dye stealer and 3+ digital and it was back to faint. I'm tempted to try a cheapie test at 37 weeks and see what I get now 😅

@Kirky658 aww that sounds horrible being back in the same room and a chlamydia test now just seems bizarre! At least it's over with now. I meant to ask you what led to you getting the strep B testing. I've realised they've never tested me but do they test everyone? 😕 I would feel bad having a vaginal birth without antibiotics if I do have it.

Sunbird24 · 08/12/2021 13:46

Sanity check please wise mums!
This is the official test I was given by the clinic, and I don’t have the instructions with me - you always read with the dippy end on the left though don’t you? So this is a dye stealer rather than a faint positive?
Think I’m losing my marbles, glad I’m finishing work on Friday for Christmas…
My Dr won’t do me a blood test either.

Juno231 · 08/12/2021 13:59

@Sunbird24 it's hard to say which side is the dippy end in that pic but yes I'd say per the rule of thumb that's a dye stealer! Looking good!

@Kirky658 that's terrible, it beggars belief how shit people in care can be despite so much training on bedside manners. I hope today's trauma therapy provides some relief X

@Minster2012 hugs xx you'll pull through today! One step at a time 😘

kaylsd · 08/12/2021 14:48

@juno231 for now I shall call us date buddies until proven otherwise least we’ve got a buddy up system if shit hits the fan which I hope it doesn’t! 🤞🏻❤️🥺🥺 I like the thought of having a due date twin potentially 🥰 I’ve seen a double rainbow today driving to my mums 👀
@sunbird24 similar time dates for us all then including @juno231 how are you feeling with things do you have many symptoms? That deffo looks like a dye stealer to me girl! 🥰
@minster2012 sending lots of love and hugs to you, adulting sometimes can be hard 🥺❤️ remember storms don’t last forever
@vil10 ahhhhh! Personally deep down I hope I do but at the same time I’ll take anything 🤣 I’ve had two psychic mediums tell me I’m going to have twins if you believe in them! I’m glad that I’m not the only one with the not much symptoms I guess it’s a good thing but I know it’s only very early days for me, did you make the decision if your going to re test? I’m tempted to stop testing, the thought of it makes me worry more about things 😬🥺 do you have a early scan booked in?
@kirky658 that’s bang out of order how you was treated! Did you say something to them? It’s unfair for the attitude you received off her, talk about lack of sensitivity!

I’ve requested for a prescription of metformin and a second opinion ladies so wait and see if my prescription request gets rejected, I’ve still got some in the house so I’m continuing to take because more evidence suggests the continued use until at least 12 week 👀 thanks ladies! ❤️ attached a rainbow pic driving home from mums this one was a single one but I saw a double one driving into the village! Don't know if all these are signs 👀

Minster2012 · 08/12/2021 15:05

@Kirky658 doesn't sound like a pleasant experience, big 🤗 hope the counselling goes well and isn't too traumatic

I'm not sure who mentioned the screening but I think it's like @clolo said & it's about thinking well would you do anything if it was higher?

@Sunbird24 I'd say the left is the test line yes so looking brilliant but very weird there's no instructions?

Loving the rainbow @kaylsd

McOrange · 08/12/2021 15:09

Hi all

I had a brief stint on the conception bus and luckily got a BFP in the last few days, very thankful to be able to be here.

It’s my second child, third pregnancy following a MC a few months ago. I feel a little bit nervous but I mostly feel very pregnant! I feel hideous today, have a really terrible headache and the nausea has really hit.

Waving to everyone and glad to be on the journey with you

paintfairy · 08/12/2021 15:18

@Sunbird24 hmmm, no idea. But in my experience the clinic tests aren't the best and my test line on that wasn't very strong at all. Yet I got a 2-3 the same time on a CB digital. So I wouldn't worry.

Kirky658 · 08/12/2021 16:59

@2020mission I had a swab to check for infection when I had what I thought was my waters leaking, and they picked it up from that. They don't routinely test for strep b which beggars belief to me.

Thanks for the support on the therapy ladies. I've processed the first memory today - where I found out I had pre eclampsia and was rushed in - and though it was difficult, now I can think of that memory and feel so much stronger. It's amazing!

Juno231 · 08/12/2021 17:55

@McOrange welcome!! I'm so glad you ended up with that dye stealer. At what stage did you have your MCs if I may ask?

Today I'm producing so much gas that I'm panicking a bit about airing the house out before OH comes home from work 😅.

Oh and the soft bras just arrived 👏👏 already wearing one

becarefuloutthere · 08/12/2021 18:59

@Juno231 where'd you get your bras from? I'm still wearing my regular ones but with the straps loosened. I'm 29 weeks 🙈

paintfairy · 08/12/2021 19:24

@Minster2012 sorry you are having a shitty day! I hope its got better?
@clolo I think you are right.
@Kirky658 omg. What a cow? I know they have lots to deal with etc but Jesus?
@Lexber I can't even get my dr to answer the phone!
@Juno231 producing gas is fine if its coming out! I was struggling with it not and it's horrendous. But now DH is moaning that i keep farting. 🤭 I'm just so relieved I don't care. 🤣

Kate105 · 08/12/2021 20:05

Wow this bus is getting chatty! Glad you're feeling positive about the therapy @Kirky658 , sounds like it's going to really help. Fuck the nasty smear nurse!

Ladies I would like a medal today for not murdering my OH, who spent the day complaining about how tired he was because the baby woke us up at 3am (projectile vomit incident). HE SLEEPS IN THE SPARE ROOM so missed the 12:30am, 4am and 5:30am wake ups I also had to endure last night...

I only didn't kill him because I was too tired to be arsed 😂

Sunbird24 · 08/12/2021 20:10

@kaylsd beautiful rainbow!

@Kirky658 well done on getting started, hope it really helps you work through everything that happened.

@Minster2012 there were instructions, I just didn’t take them to work with me! 😂 Seen them now, was definitely the test line on the left so we’re all good. Might call the clinic tomorrow, it’s still a day before my OTD but it’s past when AF was due.

@Juno231 I’ve been a bit windy ever since I started the IVF, but one of the perks of going solo is not having to even consider holding anything in! Except at work of course! I’ve had horrendous heartburn all evening, but still managed to go out for an Indian meal with my team. Back on my sofa now ready for Masterchef…

Hello @McOrange, welcome across!

Juno231 · 08/12/2021 20:15

@Kate105 hahahaha omg what dufus! I hope you have him an earful 😅

@becarefuloutthere just h&m maternity! I only knew about them cause my friend bought them once not realising it was from the maternity section and she vouched for them. Pack of 2 for £20.

@paintfairy I feel like your OH deserves those farts now!

Minster2012 · 08/12/2021 21:10

The medal goes toooooooo
@Kate105 🏅🏆🎖🎗I'd have killed him

Crazydoglady123 · 08/12/2021 22:07

@SWAttempting every midwife I've spoken to has been so reassuring it's never wasting them time to get movements checked ❤️ My girl due will have a 10 year age gap to DS so I've had to buy everything from scratch. I chased up my pram & car seat today and its being delivered Monday (just in case)!

@kaylsd I love BFP stories like yours and @Minster2012 ❤️

@Minster2012 sending you hugs lovely

@Kirky658 ugh sorry to hear about that stupid comment! And chlamydia swabs, seriously! Like that'd be what you'd be up to while your raising a newborn! Pleased your therapy session went well. When I went for my second steroid the midwife put me on the CTG and went off with my notes and came running back and was like oh, I didn't realise you're having twins. Ermmm no actually I lost one at 9 weeks! Was horrible! And my god, those injections make me soooo drowsy! I thought yesterday was just tiredness but today I felt conked out an hour or two after it!

Congrats @McOrange

@Kate105 you deffo deserve a medal!

So went in for second steroid today. The midwife just made everything feel rushed as they were busy. I said baby had been quiet so she said we'd do a CTG first. My urine sample came back showing proteins, blood and high levels of keytones and leukocytes. She said had I eaten which I had lunch at 12pm and my sample was done at 1.45pm so she was just like drink a jug of water and redo it which the levels were lower but still showing stuff in it so god knows. I see my normal midwife tomorrow at my local hospital so I'll see what she says

Minster2012 · 09/12/2021 08:19

Thanks ladies I've pulled myself together a bit, made decisions I had to now gotta hope it's all ok.
Midwife 16 week app this morning I'm weirdly nervous again?!
