Hello,

I just found 6 days ago that I'm pregnant (I know, very early 🤦🏽‍♀️) I am currently 3 weeks 5 days so not even 4!

Just made this New thread in case somebody is in a similar situation and finds comfort by just sharing how things are developing. This is my first pregnancy and have been trying for almost a year. It is extremely early to tell to anybody a part of my husband 😌

Please leave a message if you'd like to join in xx

Hi everyone, been a while me posting on here. It's been a rough week. Started spotting 7w so worried about having another miscarriage, ended up going for a scan, turns out all ok and baby has a heartbeat. Was so lovely to see this. Such a massive milestone for me and my partner having not got to this point in previous pregnancy.
Had my booking appt with the midwife yesterday, 8w+1. Felt surreal!
Hope everyone is getting on OK. Sickness is hitting me hard atm, anyone else having itchy skin? Driving me insane!!
Due 19th July 🥰

Don't worry about it @jcmars01 it will be updated when you see them

Hey hope I can join i got BFP on 28th November, I reckon I'm more like 4 weeks pregnant but the drs class it as 6 weeks. Had 2 previous MC's the last one in June so am super anxious. I'm 41 and this time around I've managed to get progesterone prescribed to try and minimise a further MC -so I'm keeping everything crossed. I've had achy boobs and nausea on and off but last two days this has all calmed to the point where I'm nervous it's a bad sign but trying to stay positive - first 12 weeks are such an anxious time - good luck ladies

Hey all, so glad I found this thread. I tested positive 3 days before my period (Tue 7/12) and couldn’t believe it! I was sure it would be negative I even tested in work.
I’m such an impatient and anxious person at the best of times but this is next level haha.
Tested again wed and then today (period was due today) with a clear blue digital which says we’re 2-3 (4-5weeks).
I contacted the widwife booking number and the girl wasn’t very nice, basically told me I lied to her I had missed my period because I didn’t make it clear I was due to start it today and not missed it completely Confused. Has anyone else had a similar reaction? I now feel worried I’ve jinxed myself for booking my appointments without letting the whole 3 days pass where my period would have been?
Also nervous about Christmas and new year. Had made so many night out plans to celebrate as we were all locked down last year and unsure whether to tell close friends as they well 10000% know if I don’t drink.
Tempted to have an early scan as others have suggested and maybe let family know around Christmas and new year all going well.
I have been very very nauseous with massive swollen/sore boobs and tiredness that makes me need a nap everyday after work. Also some peeing in the night with spells of waking up wide awake which is not normal.
Had some cramps on Tue/Wed but felt reassured when I felt them as it felt more like growing/stretching sensation than something bad.
Hoping everything goes well for you all Smile

Hi @LMc1 the receptionist sounds like she was having a bad day I wouldn't worry about it or give it another thought - either way you have had a BFP and will need to access the service so don't worry. Ive had 2 previous successful pregnancies and my advice is to be wary about having a scan too early, sometimes there is nothing or very little to see and can leave u more anxious than relieved but I know what your saying you can't wait to see something and remove the anxiety. I also don't know how I will hide my not drinking but I'm sure our fibbing skills will go to the next level over next few weeks 🤣

Bw123 · 10/12/2021 15:25

Hi again everyone, I’m 6 weeks + 2 now and yesterday at work I experienced some bleeding (not spotting). I was referred to my local early pregnancy clinic and had an internal scan this morning, they found TWO sacs! Two babies! They’ve said one is measuring larger than the other at the moment but this doesn’t mean it’s bad news, however they’re going to do frequent scans and Iv got another one next Friday. Shocked is an under statement.
Iv bought myself a bottle of alcohol free prosecco, going to take the label off and hopefully no one notices over Christmas!

Gemandi2 · 10/12/2021 15:47

@Bw123 that is fabulous news (not the bleeding )but the 2 babies - massive massive congratulations u must've been so shocked. Take it easy and look after yourself it sounds like u will be well monitored which is a bonus 👍 nice idea btw Re the non alcoholic Prosecco but there bound to be someone who would want to "try" some of mine which of course I'd always usually share and be first to say here have some but this time around they'd realise it was 0% 🤦🏼‍♀️ - saw your message before Re not knowing all the acronyms - BFP is referring to best or big f'ing positive pregnancy test and AF is Aunt Flo aka period - there are so many acronyms but that aside massive congratulations 🎉

Thedesirerainbow · 11/12/2021 08:44

@SA2021 so glad you could hear the heartbeat 💓 that must definitely be one of the most relieves moments. I have mine next Tuesday, really having my fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@Gemandi2 sorry to hear you had to go through MCs 🥺 and many congratulations for your PFP, really wishing you all the best ✨ I totally agree, this would be our first kid and these 12 weeks feels like an eternity and all very uncertain. I am learning that pregnancies are one of those where we have no control over it whatsoever, is just time and hoping for the best 🙏🏽

@LMc1 congrats for your positive!
Seems lady over the phone has had a really bad day! when I found out I was pregnant I went to my GP on the day my period should arrive and she kindly send me home and told me to wait at least round 7 to 10 days of a late period for her to be able to make the referral to the midwife. Got very disappointed but rules are rules for them and I had to come back 10 days later. No need for that woman to be mean tho, don't take it personally!

@Bw123 oh my gosh!! Not just you got your BFP at the first try but also double shot!!! You guys are carrying a big massive 🍀 on you! Many many congratulations!!!! I'm sorry tho that you found out because you were bleeding, that must have been a big worry, however, hope at the end of the day you had a bit of a sweet bitter news ✨🤍

Waiting for my first scan which will be next Tuesday. Very anxious but at the same time hopeful. My morning sickness are quite intense which last all daaay long, I'd actually call it day sickness tbh 😅
All the best to everyone on here! xx

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok! Where does everyone go to get their early scans?I think I want one for reassurance! And is anyone else suffering, I've got what feels like constant period pain still and awful headaches, slowly going insane 😖

Firsttimetrier · 15/12/2021 19:29

Hey @Jcmars01 I booked ours with Window to the Womb. They’re £49 but not been yet as we’re booked in next week. Hoping everything is okay, feeling anxious about it.

I feel absolutely terrible. Had lots of sickness this morning and couldn’t keep down my herbal teas or water. I feel okay when I eat but the thought of some food makes me feel sick. Hoping it will pass soon!

SA2021 · 17/12/2021 11:08

Good morning ladies, hope everyone is well. @Bw123 wow two babies! Congratulations 🎊
How is everyone getting on with morning/all day/ all day and night sickness? Mine is constant! Hope you're all getting ready for Christmas.
Has anyone had their 12 week scan date through yet? I received mine this week (early Jan). I'm so nervous already!!!

Thedesirerainbow · 17/12/2021 19:25

Hi All! My sickness this week has been slightly better but is definitely something that comes and goes during all day - little exhausting!
we had our first scan on Tuesday which we could see the heartbeat, very relieved and pretty amazing moment. Baby still extremely little could not see much apart of a little bean 😅
12 weeks appointment will be on second week of Jan which I can't wait already 🙈

Hope everyone is doing well and people keep updating how things are going! xx
Keep safe

Glad to hear you had a good scan @Thedesirerainbow! We’ve got our early one on Tuesday evening and I’m so nervous for it. I’ll be 7+6, so hoping we see the heartbeat 🤞🏽🤞🏽

SA2021 · 20/12/2021 13:58

Booked a scan for tonight, just needed that reassurance over Christmas so I can relax. 10 weeks tomorrow (can't believe it, I've made it this far!!)
@firsttimetrier hope your scan goes well tomorrow.
@thedesirerainbow how wonderful, congrats to you! Sounds like we are in the same boat with sickness
