Aww congrats @Coco9910 and @Misty84 . It is so nice to see the progress isn't it!

@Danani looks slightly darker to me Wink

Coco9910 · 27/11/2021 11:44

@Danani yes it’s definitely worth saving the digital for then! Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who got sad when the results disappeared off my 2-3 test after a couple of days? 😩😂 Your test line 100% looks darker than the control line 👏🏼

@Misty84 same, I’m not doing any more testing..going to wait until my scan I’ve just booked. How exciting!

@Floslittlebean thank you! There’s definitely a gap in the market for digital tests that go up to 12 weeks 😂

emilyh1 · 27/11/2021 12:07

August 5th!

emilyh1 · 27/11/2021 12:08

@Misty84

Yes me! I am due late July/early August! This will be our first after 2.5 years of trying, £14k spent on tests and failed IVF. After all that it was the biggest shock that it happened naturally! Seeing that bfp on Weds was the best feeling in the world!! I wish I had more faith that it will last but my partner has terrible sperm defragmentation which apparently doubles the miscarriage risk 😖

This is so scary isn’t it!!

This is amazing - congratulations!!!!
Irishfarmer · 27/11/2021 14:20

@Coco9910 went and got one Grin

@Danani the test line looks a lot darker then the control line.

Anyone else think it's funny they keep pregnancy tests just above the condoms! For anyone not TTC it must be like "ah yes you should have used one of these, now you need one of those" lol!

Irishfarmer · 27/11/2021 14:21

:) It's nice to see. Took a pic so I can keep checking it even when the battery dies.

Due July/August 2022
Coco9910 · 27/11/2021 14:49

@Irishfarmer yay!! So nice to see isn’t it!

Danani · 27/11/2021 16:30

Ahhh beautiful, @Irishfarmer!

And thank you all for the reassurance, I really appreciate it. I’m sorry to keep asking but sometimes I don’t trust my own eyes!! 🙈

Misty84 · 27/11/2021 16:53

Aww thank you @emilyh1!! It’s been quite the journey to get here, feels like a dream! 💕

TeacherMama91 · 27/11/2021 20:54

@Luckyfamilymum @Firsttimetrier thanks girls, thankfully I’m feeling a bit better today and have managed to eat. Will deff invest in some ginger tea. I’ve stocked up on cracker lol they were my go-to last time, and ginger nuts lol.

Lovely to see some 3+s girls Smile I’ll maybe do a digital at the end of this week.

Is anyone planning on getting an early scan? I might book one for the week before Christmas. I can’t wait until January for my 12 week. I’ve no patience lol

FeeneeTTC · 28/11/2021 09:07

Good morning! I’ve been lurking for a week or so but would really like to join.
I’m 5+4 today with our little miracle. We’ve been trying to have a baby for 5.5 years now due to PCOS. I had to lose a lot of weight to qualify for NHS treatment. Three years ago I got pregnant naturally, but sadly lost it at 7 weeks (a MMC - the baby had died earlier) and it devastated me. I’ve since had 3 rounds of clomid, none successful, and then after losing more weight this year I’ve had 4 rounds of letrozole which has worked, and resulted in a CP in September, and now this pregnancy. I’m absolutely terrified, and yet happy and grateful, all at the same time. Every day feels like bonus at the moment and I can’t think ahead too far. But this morning i got a 3+ on my clear blue digital and that has helped - I never got that with my first pregnancy.

DH and I told my parents last night so I’d have someone to talk to, and aside from that we may tell his parents, but no one else for now. We have a scan at on 10th December at the fertility clinic when I should be around 7+2.
Congratulations to you all, it has been so nice to read your comments over the last week and not feel so alone!

Coco9910 · 28/11/2021 09:23

@FeeneeTTC hi and congratulations! It sounds you have been on quite the journey, I really hope that this one sticks for you and I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy 💕

Misty84 · 28/11/2021 09:57

@TeacherMama91 I think quite a few people are getting an early scan. Mine is booked at 7 weeks because I can’t wait until January either! Just want the reassurance that things are progressing as they should. Window to the womb is a good place to book, it costs £50 which is well worth it IMO! (I’ve spent thousands on failed ivf so this feels like nothing in comparison!)

Congratulations @FeeneeTTC, it’s all the more sweeter when you’ve had a battle to get here. (my journey has not been easy although not as traumatic as yours). I can understand the fear now!! All we can do is take it one day at a time and pray that our little miracles go the distance.

Ladies I keep having nightmares about miscarrying, I wake up in a complete state clutching on to DP (it’s scaring the life out of him because he thinks there’s something actually wrong!) Hoping to settle down soon.😕

Firsttimetrier · 28/11/2021 10:02

Congratulations @FeeneeTTC hope this is a wonderful, successful pregnancy 🤞🏽❤️

After worrying about the lack of sore boobs and no other symptoms, this has definitely changed over night.
I could barely sleep last night with a mix of insomnia and vivid dreams, plus the most incredibly sore boobs I’ve ever had.

HA22 · 28/11/2021 13:07

hi all, i am currently 4+3 with my first and i've rang the gp on friday and have an appointment booked for monday morning. anyone that has been to a first appointment before what am i expecting? i've read online it's just height, weight, bp measurement and some bloods?
i've also informed work as i work with radioactive substances and it's a requirement so that measures can be put into place to ensure the dose to the foetus is as low as possible

Danani · 28/11/2021 13:31

I just got my 3+ and a “dye-stealer” on FRER! Ahhh it doesn’t feel real!
I’m 5+2 today!

Due July/August 2022
FeeneeTTC · 28/11/2021 18:01

@Firsttimetrier @Misty84 @Coco9910 thank you very much. It has been quite the journey but just feeling so fortunate and grateful for the doctors and nurses at the fertility clinic and for my body for developing cycles after so long without.

Hope everyone is doing ok. @Danani congrats on your 3+, I got mine this morning too (5 +4 today but was too scared to do it sooner!) - so we’re only a couple of days apart!

@Firsttimetrier - I know what you mean about symptoms, mine really come and go and I have to keep telling myself that’s ok! Today I’ve had next to nothing, but yesterday had quite bad cramps (which were also a source of worry!), anxiety and painful boobs.

@HA22 - welcome and congratulations! I’m not sure what happens on the first visit - my GP hasn’t arranged anything similar, I just have my first midwife app booked in for when I’m 7+1.

rose7120 · 28/11/2021 18:03

@Danani congratulations! That's so satisfying to see ♥️ I'm 5.2 too and got a 3+ this weekend, tempted to get the other one now! Such a good red line!

Is anyone else feeling a bit pmt grumpy? I feel pretty short tempered at times, which feels a bit unnerving as I don't like pmt symptoms!

Firsttimetrier · 28/11/2021 18:33

@rose7120 my temper has been awful. I’m going from high to lows, I really hope it levels out soon because my poor DH!

@FeeneeTTC I think I spoke too soon as today I’ve felt like I’ve got vertigo and feel incredibly sick. I was in Tesco’s earlier and felt like I was on a boat that’s rocking 🤢. Only seems to stop when I eat, so I hope this passes!

wishuponastar1988 · 28/11/2021 18:39

Hi everyone, I am new here Smile so I tested positive earlier this week. Natural cycles app has worked me out to be due 8th august. I am beside myself with worry all the time though, this is my first and I am just thinking the worst. I’ve booked an early scan for 30th December where I will be about 8 weeks and 4 days. X

FieldView · 29/11/2021 08:00

Congratulations @wishuponastar1988 - I think it's normal to worry at this stage. I'm 6+3 and am definitely worrying about worst case scenario!

I'm wondering what's "normal" when telling parents? This is my first, and it'll be my parents' first grandchild. I think they're going to burst when they hear the news! I was hoping to wait until 12 weeks to tell them, but it looks like Christmas might make that difficult - it'll be VERY unusual for me not to be necking fizz and shovelling pate down. I can't announce it xmas day (family politics and not everyone will be there), so am thinking of telling just my parents a week or two before Christmas.

The thing is, I'll only be about 8 weeks by then. Is that too early? They'll be as devastated as me if the pregnancy doesn't work out...

ZoeOutdoors · 29/11/2021 08:22

@fieldview I always think its worth telling a few people early on for the support and to share the excitement. Would you tell your parents if something did go wrong? Then it's definitely worth telling them.

wishuponastar1988 · 29/11/2021 08:38

I think I will feel better after a scan (hopefully). So I have told my mum and sister in law because I had lots of social events coming up with them and they would think something was off. I'm also really close to them and they know not to tell anyone else yet. My mum would 100% know something was going on anyway! It is a worry though and I won't tell anyone else until 12 weeks now x
Misty84 · 29/11/2021 08:40

@FieldView I told my parents at 3.5 weeks!🤪 Regardless of what happens I will need their support. Plus I’m a sharer, and they know all about my long term ivf struggles, so there’s just no way I could keep this momentous news in 😛

The fizz and pate comment made me laugh!

FieldView · 29/11/2021 08:54

Thanks both, that's really good to know! I'm not sure if I would tell them if something went wrong - my dear mother can be very dramatic! I think I'll have to fill them in, but it's good to know that it's not weird to be telling parents early. Who knew it would be such a minefield this early on!?!?
