Ladies, jumping on the bandwagon. Me and DH have only been trying since my coil removal on 28th September. I had implantation bleeding on Friday and BFP Saturday morning. Shocked doesn't even cut it! I ovulated 8th November (we used ovulation sticks) so I'm due 31st July (ish).

I'm nervous/terrified/anxious/excited ALL THE TIME! Confused but I know it's normal. I took 2 tests on Sat, one Sunday and Monday. I've given my unused tests to DH to hide or I'll keep testing every day!

I've booked an early scan for 13th December at Window To The Womb, where I'll be 6+6. My sister used them and they were fab. I'm a police officer so the plan is to tell our families after our scan then take each day as it comes work wise and if I need to tell work I will feel better about it.

I'm absolutely terrified I'll MC. This is my first pregnancy so I've no idea what to expect. I'm waking at the crack of dawn where my mind is in overdrive. This thread has helped massively, thank you! It's so nice to talk about it with people. DH isn't allowing himself to get excited until scan haha xxx

A clear BFP today and not even with FMU. Can’t really believe it. I had two MCs between my second and third DC, one at 10 weeks and one at 6, so am well aware that things may still go wrong but for now, here comes number 4!!

HA22 · 24/11/2021 12:10

hi all, i keep seeing people doing multiple tests after they get a positive but i don't understand why? this will be my first and i only did one test which was clearly positive but that's all, should i be testing more? is there some reasoning behind it i don't understand aha
attached is the test i did at 11DPO

Guys… I’m having a total nightmare!

My MIL is looking after my niece (who lives two streets away) and they were going to do some baking. My brother in law’s oven isn’t working, so she just messaged if she can borrow our house to bake, which is absolutely fine usually but I completely forgot until about an hour after she arrived that I’VE LEFT ALL OF THE TESTS OUT!

I’m in the office today as well, so can’t do anything except internally panic as I can’t tell anyone in the office.

She would have most definitely have seen them as they left in them in the living room as we told my mum via FaceTime last night!

We were going to tell them tonight anyway as we’ve got dinner with them but I’m guessing the cat is out the bag 🤦🏽‍♀️

Such an idiot 🥴🤣😭

Irishfarmer · 24/11/2021 12:40

@Firsttimetrier lol! Not to worry!! At least you were just about to tell here anyway.

mrsS21 · 24/11/2021 12:44

Oh no @Firsttimetrier!!! 🙈 well hopefully she’ll do the mum thing and pretend she’s never seen them - and not mention it - so you guys can still do your big reveal!🤞🏻

Welcome to the new ladies :) exciting times and congratulations on your bfp’s! @HA22 I think, if most people are like me, we’ve done multiple tests just to be sure they’re progressing (the amount of Hcg is increasing so you get a stronger line) - I did my last one at 14dpo, which was many times darker than my bfp on Friday at 10dpo…just reassuring to see the result getting stronger, you don’t have to do multiple ones if you don’t feel the need :)

Danani · 24/11/2021 12:53

Ahhhh @Firsttimetrier, the cat is out of the bag!! That must feel SO exciting! Try not to worry, just tell them tonight as per plan and then I'm sure she will mention it if she has already seen them! :)

We haven't told a soul yet. Just DH and I know. And my GP.
We will probably hold off from sharing until we know more I guess, but I bet it must feel nice to share, and also it makes it feel so much more real!!!

@HA22, I can only speak for myself - I am an anxious person. This is my first ever BFP and AF is due tomorrow/Friday, so I'm just worrying that it will show up, and I find the tests re-assuring, until this morning when they freaked me out. LOL! If you feel good about it and you're not a little Nervous Nancy like me over here, you totally do not need to waste your money and pee on sticks!! :)

Misty84 · 24/11/2021 13:08

That’s so funny @Firsttimetrier, and made me think of all my tests laid out in plain view too!😝 xx

mrsS21 · 24/11/2021 13:32

Feeling a bit more excited just now - had my first call with the midwife to book my booking appointment!! Roll on 7th December!❤️

Danani · 24/11/2021 15:33

@mrsS21 yayy!! It's feeling real!

I spoke with my GP yesterday about what I need to be doing, they told me to self-refer, which I did yesterday afternoon and now I just saw confirmations come through for the booking app on Dec 30 and scan on Jan 18! It definitely makes things more real and exciting, but I am just so anxious that the more I do, the more I might "jinx it"?! Ughhhh why is my brain doing this to me. Sad
I think once I get through this week, and past when AF was supposed to be (today/tomorrow/Fri), I might breathe a little easier...I hope!

Coco9910 · 24/11/2021 16:36

@Danani how exciting!! I have sent my paperwork off and I’m waiting for a letter with my booking in appointment. I’m going to New York for a week in December so just hoping it’s not scheduled for when I’ll be away 😅

mrsS21 · 24/11/2021 18:20

Aww @Danani 🥰 that’s brilliant! And to have you scan appointment confirmed! Awesome feeling.
I asked about an early scan, as a midwife she can only book the standard ones, but said if we have any concerns the epu will see us and check everything over - so I guess we’ll see how we get on. But I know exactly what you mean - want to just get swept up with it, but terrified it isn’t guaranteed.

Can understand your worry, my af date was Monday, so feel a little more relaxed.

TeacherMama91 · 24/11/2021 19:32

Hi all! Hope you don’t mind another one jumping on this train Grin got my bfp yesterday at 12 dpo. Currently have 1DS whos 18mo. Had 2 MC before him so feeling a nervous wreck again about all this and of course a poas addict. Got faint positive on frer yesterday and strong lines today. Going to try a cb digital tomorrow, just want to read the words so it’s official!

mrsS21 · 24/11/2021 19:52

Huge congratulations @TeacherMama91!🥰 welcome!

Cruz86 · 24/11/2021 20:47

I've got so much to catch up on!

@Coco9910 yes I had dull cramping/sharp pains very early on. Had to have a hot water bottle most nights for about a week!

@Danani I think your lines look great 😊

Sorry to hear you're full of cold @Irishfarmer. It's so annoying when people tell you to try x, y and z! I had Covid in my TWW and my mum dropped some cold and flu tablets off to 'help me out' 😂 Au natural for you!

@Firsttimetrier that made me laugh 😆 how has dinner been tonight?!

And congratulations to everyone that's joined!! 🥰

caramelcracker · 24/11/2021 21:22

Thank you so much for the lovely message @Coco9910 and congratulations to everyone

@Misty84 I found out I had the missed miscarriage at an 8 week scan, but the pregnancy had stopped developing around 6 weeks. It was horrendous but trying to remember that the odds are still very much on my side this time.

@Irishfarmer sorry to hear you had a similar experience, I found it a good distraction for me to be focused on being pregnant again. I agree there is a lovely sensibility in realising stressing won't change the outcome. Hope your cold resolves, it sounds miserable, particularly combined with any pregnancy symptoms!

Thank you @Danani, your most recent test does look strongest to me, looks promising. Mines is similar at 13 days today. I'm going to try and step away from the tests soon (even when the absolute worst happened and I did have a miscarriage, which I'm sure won't happen to you- the lines were still randomly dark at times, so I'm going to try to move away from them soon, a line is a line... mind you have poas five times already in 2 days....)

I think you have the right idea @HA22, congratulations

@Firsttimetrier....hilarious!! I hope they didn't see or if they did, they still give you your moment in announcing

Floslittlebean · 25/11/2021 05:29

Morning all!
@Cruz86 I hope all goes well today for you. @Danani I'm a little delayed but I too feel your latest test looked stronger Smile.
@HA22 I agree with everyone above, if you can not drive yourself crazy with testing that's probably a good thing!

As for me, I finally got my 3+ and should be exactly 5 weeks today. So I do solemly swear not to test any further.... she says Grin

Congrats and welcome to everyone with a recent BFP!!

@caramelcracker I’m so sorry you experienced that, and you’re right there is a sensibility in that stressing won’t change the outcome. I hope all goes well for you this time.

Morning @Firsttimetrier (I’ve been awake since 4:45🙄), good to see you’ve got a 3+! I last tested at the wkend and got 2-3, so I’m waiting a bit longer to do a final test. Currently 4w+5.

Have my first antenatal appointment at the hospital today and I’m sooo excited! I’m so used to depressing ivf appointments which I dread, so this is a whole different experience! 🤗

mrsS21 · 25/11/2021 07:12

Ahhh wonderful news @Misty84 ❤️ Hope it’s a great one today for you.

@Floslittlebean 🥰🥰🥰 absolutely love seeing this! Isn’t it funny how those tests take so much longer to show what’s meant to be 3 weeks?! But wonderful you’ve seen 3+ now! I’m glad it’s not just me with the random insomnia/waking at silly-o’clock and not being able to go back off.
We got our booking appointment yesterday, so roll on 7th December ❤️ Cannot wait. Was working out our first scan should be 2nd week in January or somewhere round there :)

Hope everyone is ok this morning!

Misty84 · 25/11/2021 07:25

Oh whoops sorry I meant to tag @Floslittlebean not @Firsttimetrier in my previous post! It was obviously too early for my brain 🤪

Thank you @mrsS21! It’s fun getting the appointments laid out, glad you’ve got yours too! 🙂

Cruz86 · 25/11/2021 09:02

Thank you @Floslittlebean ❤️

Floslittlebean · 25/11/2021 09:12

Thank you @Misty84, it was way too early, I miss not waking up at 5am Confused. Enjoy your appointment.

Aww thanks @mrsS21! Yes it's all a little confusing with the weeks, as it is 3+ since conception as opposed to since your last period which would be 5 weeks.

I'm all over the place atm. If I don't feel well, I'm in a bad mood because of it. If I do feel well, I'm in a bad mood because I'm worried something's not going well. Send help lol

mrsS21 · 25/11/2021 09:57

Ah sorry, that makes far more sense! @Floslittlebean and now I get why it’s different from our start date…

Oh I’ve literally just had the same freak out - my boobs don’t ache/hurt as much as they have been, immediately thought if that’s a bad sign or not. Doing our own heads in!

Dinomama21 · 25/11/2021 15:49

Think of you today @Cruz86 ♥️♥️

Danani · 25/11/2021 16:16

Hey everyone, how is everyone doing today?

@Cruz86 sending you a big hug and all the positive vibes!!!

@Firsttimetrier you never told us (or I missed it) - how did last night go with the in-laws???

I just want to share that today I've not peed on any sticks, and today I woke up feeling calm and peaceful which is such a nice change from the anxiety I was overwhelmed with yesterday! It's the little things hey!

BTW, does anyone know - is your LP always the same length? So, I'm just asking because my cycles are extremely regular and reliable and predicatble, they have been for years.
But this cycle in Nov, the weirdest thing happened, my ovulation was entire 5 days later than what it usually is/is predicted, so I'm just wondering...would that bring my LP out of whack, or is that more or less static? If static, then AF was supposed to be yesterday (as I always have 12 days LP and AF comes on the 13th day); but all of my apps predicted it for today/tomorrow. So...I was just wondering is all.
