I haven't posted on this thread yet but I'm currently 8+6 and had my booster on Sunday. Even though I had pretty bad side effects after my first AZ dose I only had fairly mild side effects after the Moderna booster (sore arm, feeling a bit achy and fatigued but the fatigue may just be from pregnancy). Definately no fever.

I discussed it with the midwife beforehand and she recommended to get it as soon as possible and just take paracetemol if I did have a fever.

Although I was a bit concerned about possible side effects I was more concerned about the effects of catching Covid than the effects of the booster. With the high rates of Covid in the UK generally and the Omicron variant that can more easily infect double vaccinated people I felt much safer after getting the booster even though I'm WFH and avoiding crowded places already.

I need someone to tell me if I'm being ridiculous:

I had my early scan booked for Dec 18, then pushed it back to Dec 24, and now time is absolutely dragging and I wonder if I should move it forward again to Dec 19 or Dec 21?!

Am I going mad, this is crazy right? I just cannot sit still. It seems more than an eternity away, and it is literally all I can think about. The not knowing is killing me.

Rachae · 14/12/2021 16:29

@Danani I don't understand why that's ridiculous.. having had 4 scans already myself! We don't have any idea what's going on in there, and it's completely understandable to want to know. I hate that my scan is this Friday as this is the longest break I've had... it's sooo hard xx

Aims1991 · 14/12/2021 16:46

Absolutely no symptoms today and I'm riddled with anxiety 😢 I know that's normal but I can't wait to my scan on Saturday to reassure me

irishfarmer · 14/12/2021 16:48

@Danani completely understandable, how many weeks will you be the 19th? If it's under 7 I think you are better to wait, if it is under that you might be left with uncertainty.

Danani · 14/12/2021 17:00

Aww thanks @Rachae! Oh lucky you! Only a few days to go!!!

@irishfarmer I’ll be either 7+3 or 8+1 on the 19th.
Or 8+1 or 8+6 on the 24th.
I’m still not sure how to count it because LMP give me one result but ovulation - another (as it was 5 days later than usual). 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know logically that every pregnancy is different, but I have no nausea and very limited other symptoms which is making me anxious 😥

Rachae · 14/12/2021 17:00

@Aims1991 I'm with you! Permanently zero symptoms! x

Misty84 · 14/12/2021 17:02

Totally agree @trrk

@Danani I would bring it forward a little bit! It’s pretty punchy to have a scan on Christmas eve! It’s quite an intense thing just before Christmas Day, you’ll have even more pressure that it has to be good news.

And anyway you’re driving yourself mad waiting at the moment 🤪

Rachae · 14/12/2021 17:02

@Danani I had one as early as 5+4 and saw a yolk sac... by 7+0 I'd had 3 scans and saw growth and continued heartbeat. You'll be fine with those dates. Also.. whilst I do worry about it from scan to scan... I've had zero classic preg symptoms from the outset and my scans have showed good progression. It's super hard not to worry though when you hear of everyone puking! xx

Danani · 14/12/2021 17:10

Well….I moved it. Again. 😂😭🤦🏻‍♀️ The clinic must think I’m mad. 21st it is. 😬🤞🏻

Aims1991 · 14/12/2021 17:32

@Rachae on occasions i have sore boobs. But the bloating and cramps have totally stopped

Cmacq32 · 14/12/2021 21:11

Hi I was in the TTC November group and moved to the December and got my BFP.
I'm a bit confused why there are 2 groups now on mumsnet for due date july/August.
Is there a Facebook page I can join (prefer Facebook as its much more user friendly.

Let me know what I need to do to join. X

Northandsouth85 · 14/12/2021 22:49

Late to the party! Hi all. I’m 5+3 today and thought I would wait till I have a scan on Monday 20th at 6+2 to join in here. But I thought why not… so nice reading all your messages and hoping all ours keep growing xx

ChattyMum86 · 14/12/2021 23:41

Well folks, what.a.day!! I have been going to hospital pretty much all week with pain and bleeding, HCG rising only to be sent home with painkillers. Finally was seen for a scan today and they discovered a ruptured Fallopian tube and I had to have emergency surgery and tube removed under general anaesthetic!

I am beyond angry right now!! 😡

Cmacq32 · 15/12/2021 06:24

@ChattyMum86 oh you poor thing. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Stupid question but how are you doing? They shouldn't have sent you home 😔

ChattyMum86 · 15/12/2021 06:43

@Cmacq32 I am home now with four stomach incisions and strong painkillers. So lucky to be alive but can't help feel angry that I tried to tell them for a week something wasn't right and was fobbed off 😞

I hope you are well xxx

Cmacq32 · 15/12/2021 07:32

@ChattyMum86 oh gosh it's just terrible. Your very very lucky. It's so tough when you don't feel heard, you definitely know your own body. We are here to listen thiugh if you need to talk ❤️

FeeneeTTC · 15/12/2021 07:54

So sorry @ChattyMum86 what a week it has been for you. I am pleased they operated in time (despite taking forever to scan you) as that can be so dangerous. I’m assuming they have officially diagnosed an ectopic pregnancy now? So sorry for your loss of both the pregnancy and your tube. Hoping you have time to process it all and heal xx

FeeneeTTC · 15/12/2021 07:56

Welcome @Cmacq32 and @Northandsouth85 and congratulations!

I think a second group was started as this one had a lot of people in it and some prefer a smaller group. But many of us have migrated over to the Facebook group now, I’ll see if one of the admins can post the link again.

FeeneeTTC · 15/12/2021 07:56

I should have said, ‘also migrated over to the Facebook group now’ - we are still here too!

Firsttimetrier · 15/12/2021 08:01

I’ve really reached struggle city today. Got an awful head cold and sore throat and can’t seem to keep any liquid down this morning. I’m hoping the sickness is because I’m hungry but the nausea has destroyed my appetite, so it’s bit of a horrible loop.

Really hope it passes soon 😭

boymummy89 · 15/12/2021 08:13

Cna anyone help me join the fb group please whenever I click the link it dont work. Thank you

Danani · 15/12/2021 08:24

@ChattyMum86 oh huni, what a horrible ordeal you've been through. So so sorry for your losses! Your anger is completely justified. I hope you heal quickly and feel better. Take care of yourself! Sending you a big hug! xx

@Firsttimetrier awww hoping you feel better soon, that does sound terrible! Try to rest and stay hydrated, this is tough but it will pass! x

@ChattyMum86 you must be extremely angry having been ignored, most important thing is that your home recovering now - this is my 2nd pregnancy with 1 ovary so no worries there if that helps for the future :)
Look after yourself this Christmas & make sure you take time for yourself to recover - always here to chat x

ChattyMum86 · 15/12/2021 09:31

Thanks so much everyone ❤️ yes they removed the tissue from what used to be the Fallopian tube.

Oh wow @Luckyfamilymum - that is so good to hear! It gives me hope 🙏🏼🥰 did you also have a previous ectopic then?
