You do indeed @Coco9910, and thank you. Nice to be over here!

Curlywurly3 · 12/12/2021 22:30

Ah congratulations @Squiff70, it’s good to see you over here! X

Coco9910 · 12/12/2021 23:09

@Squiff70 lovely! So happy you are over here! How have you been feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Squiff70 · 13/12/2021 00:01

Thank you @Curlywurly3! Great to see you too! How are you?

@Coco9910 just nausea but I put it down to the fact that I had my 3rd covid vaccine on Friday and have had a rough weekend due to that really. Wasn't expecting a BFP. I'm only 10DPO (Sunday) so very early days.

Lunaluvgood · 13/12/2021 00:14

Hey everyone. Can I join? Not sure if this pregnancy is going to stick as I have had some light bleeding and light cramping the last couple of days. But I did go in for a sonogram when the bleeding began and saw a heartbeat. I’m hopeful and waiting it out until my appointment on Thursday. I’m 6+3

Firsttimetrier · 13/12/2021 07:58

Congratulations @Squiff70 I remember you from the October and November conception boards 😊.

How are you feeling?

Firsttimetrier · 13/12/2021 08:08

I can’t believe I’m coming up to 7 weeks. The last 3 weeks have felt like a lifetime but gone surprisingly quickly.

I’ve started to get some pulling sensation which I’m guessing is my uterus growing?

Also had my first physical sickness yesterday, so hoping the sickness doesn’t get any worse. I think it’s when I let myself get hungry! I’ve gone off my Ritz crackers, so will need to find something else I can snack on throughout the rest of the day. Just glad the WFH order has come back in as this will make everything much easier to hide.

Misty84 · 13/12/2021 08:20

7+2 and have my scan today, unbelievably nervous after the mixed results we’ve had on here. Praying for a good outcome, really don’t want to give you all bad news.

Luckyfamilymum · 13/12/2021 08:35

@Firsttimetrier ahh yea of course! I’m so happy for everyone who is suffering nausea & can now WFH!

I have been a bit AWOL from mumsnet as I find the FB group easier to follow!
But welcome to all our new pregnancies! & I’m so sorry that we have had so many losses on here too… nothing is harder to process…

Squiff70 · 13/12/2021 08:42

Hope you're okay @Lunaluvgood!

Heyyy @Firsttimetrier! You're seven weeks already? Wow :) So happy for you! Apart from overheating in bed and waking up early absolutely boiling and feeling a bit sick on and off throughout the day I'm okay thanks. How are you doing?

Good luck with your scan today @Misty84!

Luckyfamilymum · 13/12/2021 08:43

@ChattyMum86 & @NooNoo88 any update on your situations? Hope your looking after yourselves xx

Welcome to all the new pregnancies! I have been a little AWOL as I find the FB group easier to follow!

Nausea is kicking my arse at the minute! Not actually being sick… but that only makes it worse, I’m fine 1hr after eating, but I graze all day to keep it at bay! I remember sour sweets, crackers & gum helping last time… but if anyone has any new remedies I’m all ears!!?

On the Booster, I’m over 30 so think I’m eligible to book from today… feeling unsure about the whole thing as I know how important 1st 12 weeks are…. Has anyone had any direct advice from midwife on thiis? I see mine in a week but may book before hand…
As if pregnancy isn’t hard enough without covid!!

ChattyMum86 · 13/12/2021 08:49

@Luckyfamilymum morning :)

My situation is very strange, rising HCG but still spotting red blood, been in hospital overnight twice with horrendous pain and have had a scan at 6 weeks where they couldn't find the pregnancy 😞

I've to wait for a phone call today to go back up for further investigation 🙏🏼 I don't hold out much hope for a viable pregnancy but I do hope I do not need surgery for an ectopic pregnancy.

I will keep you all updated xx

Luckyfamilymum · 13/12/2021 08:50

Oops, @ChattyMum86 sorry, just saw your last message, I’m so sorry for your loss & wish you a happy fertile future x

@ChattyMum86 It’s awful when you don’t have a definite answer, strange that hormone is still rising… hope you get an answer today.
Hope your getting something for the pain, thinking of you today & really hope you get answers soon xx

Firsttimetrier · 13/12/2021 08:57

@Squiff70 I’m 6+5, so very close to 7! I’ve got nausea too and the exhaustion is real. I’m falling asleep on the sofa in the evenings from 8.30ish. Apart from that, everything is good! Got an early scan next week at 7+6, so just hope everything is progressing as it should. 🤞🏽

@Luckyfamilymum for the last two weeks, I’d been snacking on Ritz crackers but the last few days I can’t stomach them.
My problem is that I’m hungry every hour or two, so I might try breakfast bars and fruit to see if they sustains the hunger.

ChattyMum86 · 13/12/2021 09:06

@Luckyfamilymum aw thank you - I was prescribed cocodamol which I've been taking but I feel the dihydrocodeine they were giving me when I was in hospital was better 🤷🏼‍♀️
Thank so much for your well wishes, I'll keep you all updated x

Luckyfamilymum · 13/12/2021 09:09

@Firsttimetrier I do find that my porridge keeps me good for about 2 hours. And I had chicken and rice for lunch yesterday… and that make me feel good, so I think long lasting carbs are a winner. Ooh I could do some ritz at the moment…

ellie1789 · 13/12/2021 09:56

Hi ladies,

On the topic of Covid and boosters, I thought I'd give an update on my Covid situation. I'm on day 5 now and thankfully haven't been that bad. The tiredness added on to pregnancy tiredness has been quite debilitating. The cold part has been must less severe than the one that I got in October/November time - it was the one that was going round everyone. I've been worried about baby progressing but thankfully it seems to have been okay and I'm still experiencing all of my usual symptoms. It went a bit quiet the first few days which made me nervous but I think my body was a bit numb from it all. I haven't had a fever, thank goodness. With my booster, I will book in asap as I would have no protection against Omicron (I've currently got Delta) and I've definitely felt that the vaccine has worked against Delta for me. I'm normally very ill when I catch something. As I get more pregnant, I can see how you'd struggle with Covid. One morning I was quite breathless

Is there a Facebook group? I keep trying to find one and failing.

NooNoo88 · 13/12/2021 10:53

@Luckyfamilymum no update just yet, I have a scan just after lunch time today so will know more then. Hope everyone's doing ok, nausea absolutely kicks your butt so I sympathise with you all 😘

irishfarmer · 13/12/2021 10:55

@AppleTree16 try this link fb.me/g/mOwjK6GHU/vlszWCn1

I've also been quite absent from MN.

I had a scan on Friday. One twin is not progressing, but in my gut I knew that was the case. I had prepared myself for that, and I was honestly surprised I wasn't more upset/ disappointed. I think it was just because I got to see one happy healthy baby growing, I got to see the heartbeat which was amazing. I had presumed that was it for me and EPU and I'd just be getting regular scan but I've to go back next week to make sure twin 2 has fully re-absorbed (That sounds absolutely gross!)

Anyone else suffer with allergies? Mine have gone crazy, I'm allergic to my own dog, and dust, dust mites, pollen, mould, grass, hay, straw (really thought that one thro marrying a farmer!!). But I can't take any of my medication right now. I sound like a fog horn when I sneeze

FeeneeTTC · 13/12/2021 12:01

@irishfarmer I am sneezing a lot more than normal and that’s usually followed by retching, so I wondered if it was somehow linked to nausea and over sensitivity to smells?

Pleased you’re doing ok after your scan news and that they’ll be scanning you again next week. I did wonder what would happen given you have a precious baby still growing.

irishfarmer · 13/12/2021 12:50

@FeeneeTTC I think sensitivity is def up too, yesterday when outside some smoke from the chimney went by and I went into a sneezing fit for a few mins! Oh no followed by retching sounds awful!!

Danani · 13/12/2021 12:58

Hey all,

Quick update: re Covid boosters for anyone interested.

I spoke with the midwife today and she said the advise is to go and get it whenever you can, as covid is dangerous for both mum and baby.

Re timing, she said there is no medical or any other scientific advice re waiting after 12 weeks. She said that even if you do get a fever from it, it is gone in a day, is mild and a paracetamol would keep it at bay so not a concern.

The only thing she did say is that the first trimester is obviously quite a fragile, precarious time and some people may prefer to wait it out, because she said if anything was to happen with the pregnancy would you think “what if I waited”. Which I completely get, but she said the vaccine cannot harm baby in no way, and if everything is going well with the pregnancy it won’t affect it, and if something is going wrong it has nothing to do with the vaccine or you/us.

AppleTree16 · 13/12/2021 13:06

Perfect @irishfarmer I’ve requested to join.
