Oh that’s how I am too mentally @Danani. All over the shop. I’m best when I’m just keeping busy and not obsessing about this.
My partner keeps urging me to come off MN, he says it’s not healthy because I get all anxious and wound up when I read that people have had miscarriages or bad news at their early scan. Ugh it’s so tough x

GrapefruitsAreGreat · 11/12/2021 21:32

@Dani7 I'm not having an early scan either, I'm waiting for the end of January.
Fingers crossed. I understand why people have them but I'm not sure it would really help my anxiety.

I don't have many symptoms yet apart from odd twinges. But am only 5 weeks - nervous about what's to come.

HA22 · 12/12/2021 09:42

@PriyaVeer gum has saved my life!! (okay not really) but has gotten rid of my nausea completely xx

Bloomers58 · 12/12/2021 11:01

@ChattyMum86 I'm with you. It sucks. Take care x

ChattyMum86 · 12/12/2021 15:20

Hi everyone, I hope you are all ok on this rollercoaster journey we have all boarded. My rollercoaster has taken a very strange turn - I had to go into triage pain last night with the worst pain 😩 having been bleeding quite heavily from Wednesday when I was too my HCG had dropped since the Monday and that I was miscarrying- they said my HCG has now increased. I am back up tomorrow for more investigation 🤷🏼‍♀️ xx

RKEE · 12/12/2021 15:35

@ChattyMum86 oh that is weird! Sorry you’ve been in so much pain. Hopefully they will know more tomorrow. Take care of yourself x

Pheebs2021 · 12/12/2021 15:46

Could I ask a question - I have long hair a lot of it but thin hair. Usually, my hair doesn't really knot much and when it does knot the knots come out pretty easily. Since I've become pregnant my hair just clumps into knots.

Has anybody else noticed a change in their hair like this?

Coco9910 · 12/12/2021 16:47

Had my scan today and baby is measuring 7+1 with a good heart beat. My apps say I’m 8+4 but I know I ovulated later, and they are so small, so I’m not concerned and they weren’t concerned either. So lovely to see the baby and makes it feel more real now 🥰

NooNoo88 · 12/12/2021 17:09

Hi all, I have a kind-of update. Currently in hospital and awaiting a scan after lots of pain and bleeding today. Not feeling too hopeful as this is what's happened several times before 😔 a&e very busy so I may be sent home and have to come back tomorrow, it's going to be a long night either way. I hope you're all doing well and it's lovey to read so many posts of people seeing their little jelly beans on early scans ❤️

SantiagoSister · 12/12/2021 17:44

@Pheebs2021 I’ve experienced something similar with my hair, I also have long thin hair and when I’m pregnant it does knot up a lot more and also falls out in huge clumps constantly. I lose so much hair I don’t know how I have any left on my head! When I’m not pregnant, it doesn’t fall out that much. So I definitely think it’s linked!

MrsS11 · 12/12/2021 17:45

noonoo88 I hope everything works out and baby is safe.
Is anyone else struggling with breathlessness? I remember having it later in pregnancy but I'm really puffed out from the most basic things! Also had my first dashing out of a public place to retch in the toilet 😑 is that a milestone?!

Misty84 · 12/12/2021 17:53

Thinking of you @NooNoo88, I hope you’ll be ok 🙏 xx

SantiagoSister · 12/12/2021 17:53

@MrsS11 I’m with you on the breathlessness, I’m out of puff just doing normal things and I feel like I can’t breathe enough even when sitting down. I had been sitting down for an hour last night and my heart felt fast, I timed it and my resting heart rate was 96! Apparently all normal for early pregnancy though so that’s reassuring.

Pheebs2021 · 12/12/2021 17:56

Yes I am finding the most simple of tasks absolutely exhausting. A 5 minute sorting the washing out left me having to sit down for ages yesterday.

NooNoo88 · 12/12/2021 18:13

Thank you guys 🥰 been sent home as gynae consultant was super busy, so back tomorrow for a scan and more blood tests. I'm in a lot of pain so I'm not feeling very positive at the moment. We vowed this would be our last try so perhaps it's not meant to be. By the way a big fat YES to breathlessness and fast heart rate! My resting rate was 120 yesterday 😳

Danani · 12/12/2021 18:43

Hoping you get some relief from the pain and good news tomorrow @NooNoo88 ❤️

I join the breathless club but it’s not so much doing stuff for me, it’s crazy things like trying to have a conversation after a meal 😂 I literally get out of breath talking!!

Does anyone else get cold every evening? I’m like clockwork 5-6 pm, absolutely freezing and my blood pressure is low! Crazy what our bodies do!!!

@Coco9910 ahhhh so so pleased for you hun! 🍀

Btw, totally don’t mean to hijack the conversation, but just saw booster jabs are open for 30+ from yesterday and booked mine for next week. But now just slightly wondering if I give it a few more weeks and do it after the 12 week mark? My family all had the booster and all felt fine but ran a fever the day of/day after. Should this be any consideration at all? Or do you guys think I should just go get it? Thanks so much!

Geriatrixia · 12/12/2021 19:11

@Danani I went to get my booster and they initially said to wait til 9 weeks, but when I registered with the midwives in my area they are specifically running a booster clinic and booked me in - I’ll get mine at the end of the week.

Pheebs2021 · 12/12/2021 20:06

I'm debating the same. I've got mine booked next week but I am questioning it.

Misty84 · 12/12/2021 20:11

My booster is also booked next week, I’ll be 8 weeks then.

Rachae · 12/12/2021 21:09

I'm thinking the same on booster but only because I've seen lots of pregnant women not sure. Does anyone know the science behind why it might be a risk before 12 weeks? Xx

Danani · 12/12/2021 21:17

The only thing I can think of is that you may run a fever…but I really have no clue what would that matter?! Surely it shouldn’t be an issue if we’re talking about one day. A paracetamol (which is Ok in pregnancy) can probably help with that too?

Danani · 12/12/2021 21:19

Hit Post too soon! Sorry, meant to say thanks for everyone’s input! I plan to speak to GP/midwife tomorrow/Tue and will update you on the advice I get! I also read the official guidance everywhere and it does say get it regardless of trimester or time in pregnancy so unless someone tells me otherwise…will probably get it on Fri as booked.

Misty84 · 12/12/2021 21:36

Yeah the guidance everywhere says get it regardless of where you are in your pregnancy. Getting Covid is far more risky!

Squiff70 · 12/12/2021 21:48

Good evening.

May I join in please? This happened this morning...

Joining the August club! Hopefully! :)
