@FieldView @Fizzyrascal really sorry to hear. Make sure you take care of yourselves ❤️

thehokeycokey · 10/12/2021 18:05

I'm so sorry to hear your news @FieldView and @Fizzyrascal like everyone else has said look after yourselves.

I'm 6+4 today and had a private scan at the same clinic that prescribed me clomid. The scan revealed 2 sacs and 2 heartbeats....twins...which when I had follicle tracking knew was a slight possibility as there were 2 large follicles. But I'm so shocked!

The thing is I'm not feeling overly positive, just shocked but also thinking about how overwhelming it will be, we don't have big house or loads of money, we obviously get by, I have a 3 year old and the impact it will have on him... also struggled when he was a baby, sorry if this is really insensitive as I know this would be very happy news for people I just feel guilty for feeling so overwhelmed! Husband had just come around to the idea of a second so we are both just processing it...

Pheebs2021 · 10/12/2021 19:26

I'm so sorry @FieldView @fizzyrascal my thoughts are with you.

lms2017 · 10/12/2021 20:52

Hey , can I join I'm approx 6 weeks 6 days.
This will be my 2nd however my DS has just turned 6 it was a now or never moment and it happened the first time DTD so I'm a little bit shocked !.

Symptoms for me were constipation, really bad pain lower down and around stomach at this point negative tests this was 10 days after period due. Tested at 13 days negative tested on 14 days instant positives on different tests.

I hate the long wait till scans etc.

I have been having cramping , and some nausea but not much else. Although with my 1st I didn't have anything apart from gagging brushing my teeth xx

ellie1789 · 10/12/2021 21:36

@lms2017 Congratulations! I'm with you on the cramping! I've been feeling them every day weeks 3-5

PriyaVeer · 10/12/2021 21:56

Hello all,

I am 7w+2, expected due date is 28th of July... we got a strong heart beat two days ago and baby measured on the dot 7weeks!

Suffering from a lot of nausea.. it starts in the am and Carries on all day! I also managed to get Oesophagitis, which is quite painful... last week has been tough :(

This is going to be our third pregnancy but the first two did not make it past the first scan sadly.. so I was super happy when we saw a heart beat!

Hope you all are doing well x

PriyaVeer · 10/12/2021 22:01

@Fizzyrascal

Had an early scan yesterday at a private clinic and it looks like I've possibly had an early miscarriage.

Based on dates, should have been 8 weeks and 2 days yesterday but scan found no heartbeat and put me at 5 weeks 6 days.

Last period was 12 Oct. Was using fertility monitor and got LH surge on 24/25 Oct. Got faint positive on 3 November, then strong positive on 5 Nov. Dates are 100% accurate.

Have been offered a rescan on 19 December but as I'm so sure about my dates it's unlikely to be a dates discrepancy. Any thoughts or experience? The sonographer did say that based on the dates it's likely that the pregnancy stopped progressing.

Have left a a message with NHS Scotland early pregnancy unit - waiting for them to call me back. The clinic advised me to get in touch.

Anyone know what they're likely to say?

@Fizzyrascal I had the same for my first pregnancy, unfortunately it's not good news ... it's called a missed miscarriage. Sorry for your loss - it's so painful xx

Try an early pregnancy unit at one of the maternity hospitals. They are very helpful .. sending you a hug x

rosewater20 · 11/12/2021 05:54

@Juno231 Thank you, Juno. It is helpful knowing that other people have the same symptoms and it makes me less anxious when my Apple Watch tells me my heart rate is higher!

Aims1991 · 11/12/2021 06:33

@ellie1789 I have had cramping and bloating loads too. Did yours come and go? Mines been pretty permanent until yesterday and not felt anything since 😳

Rachae · 11/12/2021 07:00

Hey is anyone mid-7 weeks+ and still no classic symptoms?

I'm 7+6 today. Even though I've had 4 scans so far with everything measuring brilliantly (last one this Tuesday)... I still have almost zero symptoms. Maybe tiredness and hunger but I'm on a shedload of progestrone.

Is anyone else still in the same boat? I don't feel 'lucky' to not have morning sickness as I've had lots of MCs and my anxiety is really high. I'd honestly rather be chucking up every day so I could feel reassured 😓 xx

Misty84 · 11/12/2021 07:42

@Rachae I’m 7 weeks and my only symptom throughout has been sore boobs.
I haven’t had any scans yet though! My first is on Monday and I’m terrified considering some of the recent results we’ve had on here😟

Rachae · 11/12/2021 07:59

@Misty84 aww I understand and I'm sure it will b fine! It's so frustrating not to have symptoms though. How would you define sore boobs? I keep analysing mine 🙈🤣 late at night they feel a lot heavier and a bit sore to walk down the stairs .. but that's it. Not sure if that's enough for me to say I've got them x

FeeneeTTC · 11/12/2021 08:00

Good morning ladies
I had my first scan yesterday at what I had calculated as 7+2. We were extremely nervous after previous losses. But thankfully it all went so well. Baby is fine, tucked up right at the top of the womb, strong heart beat, measuring 7+1, which is 1.02cm. It was the most incredible, overwhelming feeling to see it. We could see the head, body and even little buds that will become arms and legs. Everything else (yolk sac, corpus luteum) was measuring fine too so I have graduated from the fertility clinic and they won’t see me again unless something goes wrong.

We came away with a scan photo and videos, and we have never got far enough for that before, so it just felt so special. Obviously things can still go wrong, but I’m trusting that as every day goes by that becomes less likely and I’m determined to enjoy every moment I get with this little bean.

I know there’s more scans coming for you all over the next couple of weeks and I hope and pray you all get a similar experience.

I’ll add the measurement to the early scan list and repost.

FeeneeTTC · 11/12/2021 08:02

@Rachae - I have had symptoms including nausea, but they really do come and go. My mum didn’t find out she was pregnant with me until she was 15 weeks, so she mustn’t have had symptoms really at all! I have friends who also have said if it wasn’t for scans, they wouldn’t know they are pregnant. It’s easier said than done, but try not to worry, if your scans are fine and there’s no bleeding, everything is going ok xx

FeeneeTTC · 11/12/2021 08:03

@Aims1991 hi! I had cramping and bloating until about 5+4, then it completely disappeared. I’m 7+2 now and only get it occasionally and nothing like it was before.

FeeneeTTC · 11/12/2021 08:05

@thehokeycokey twins is big news! It’s OK to need time to get your head around that. I think it’s also pretty normal to worry about the impact on your first born - I know a lot of people who worried about how their oldest child would cope, and it doesn’t mean they loved their younger child(ren) any less.

ChattyMum86 · 11/12/2021 08:23

Dani7 · 11/12/2021 08:25

Sorry, I’m new to this thread and lots to catch up on!

I was just wondering if anyone is NOT having an early pregnancy scan? We would have to pay privately and I don’t think it’s something we can justify right now. Hearing some of these stories is giving me anxiety that we will get to 12 weeks scan and find something wrong. I’ve already had to tell more people than I wanted due to a large delivery of bulky furniture, slapped cheek and Covid all at work 🙈

Misty84 · 11/12/2021 08:26

@Rachae Would define as very heavy, tender to the touch, any kind of movement like jogging is excruciating, even turning over in bed and lying on my side is painful. Especially tender first thing in the morning xx

Rachae · 11/12/2021 09:19

@misty84 ah ok... I don't have those then! X

@FeeneeTTC thanks for that 😘 so pleased your scan went well x

ellie1789 · 11/12/2021 09:21

@Aims1991 yes mine comes and goes. It's worst at night after my tea and when I'm trying to get to sleep. It's not that bad first thing. Week 3/4 was the worst for bloating, I think due to implantation. I get really bloated during my period and ovulation normally, so it must be a thing that my body does

PriyaVeer · 11/12/2021 09:39

Does anyone have all day nausea?

I am so uncomfortable. It's persistent and I know I should be happy as it's a great sign but boy is it debilitating to work feeling nauseous.

Any tips outside of ginger and saltines?

FeeneeTTC · 11/12/2021 10:21

@ChattyMum86 so sorry to hear that, take care of yourself xx

Danani · 11/12/2021 10:34

@FeeneeTTC awww that sounds absolutely wonderful! So pleased for you, darling! I can only imagine the relief and happiness you must be feeling!!! xxx

@ChattyMum86 I am so sorry huni. :( Sending you a big big hug, and hoping you get your sticky little bean whenever you feel ready to try again! x

@Rachae and @Misty84 I don't have much in terms of symptoms to be honest either. I am exactly the same as what Misty has described. My boobs have been so sore and heavy and absolutely killing me. Like sleeping at night is uncomfortable! I keep tossing and turning... I tried sleeping with a bra - not comfy, without bra - not comfy. The only other "symptom" I have is I get freezing cold every evening, no matter how hot it is I just get really cold. My blood pressure is usually the textbook 120/80 but now it's 105/65 or something like that - quite a bit lower. I read this is all normal in early pregnancy though. Other than that though, I feel fine physically. Mentally however is a different story, I'm very weepy and just really feel a bit like a crazy person - one day I'm calm and happy and full of optimism, the next I'm riddled with anxiety and worry and just want to cry.

@Dani7 welcome and congratulations! As a person who has booked an early scan, I can tell you it's not a necessity. I personally want to do it more so for mental health reasons than anything else. I don't really feel pregnant and I feel like I won't believe it till I see it, so I want to have the early one. But there is a reason the NHS only offers the first one at 12 weeks. You know, things can still go wrong, an early scan is a bit of reassurance but it doesn't do much more than that. BUT if you can afford it and you're impatient or just after a bit of reassurance - I don't see any harm.
