@Juno231 when you go for your 12 week scan add it to the list :) I don't think a lot of us have had "proper" dating scans yet so don't know our due dates

I'm not even sure how far along I am, I've a scan tomorrow so hoping for a bit of clarity.

Good luck to those having scans today. I have added my early scan date in. Having it a bit earlier than I'd like as it was the only time I could fit it in around Xmas!

@irishfarmer fair enough although most will have a preliminary date based on LMP or ovulation date?

Hi all, can I hop on this thread please? I'm 6+3 today ☺️

Hi all, I wonder if my dates are off... I know when my LMP was, and I know when I ovulated, but my ovulation was for some reason delayed that cycle and was 5 days later than usual. I wonder if this means I'm not actually as far ahead as I think I am if I use the LMP. Does this make any sense? Does anyone know? I have a week until my early scan, and I'm a bit panicky that it is still going to be too early...

Hey @Danani I think it might be likely to be earlier in that case... if you ovulated 5 days in advance, then that would have affected implantation. They always say that LMP is just a point in time, but if you know when you ovulated that can be more reliable xx

@Danani I think you would be fine with your scan because even if you are a week after your LMP date, you’d be having your scan around 7 weeks? X

@Firsttimetrier thank you! I'm actually on the phone to the midwife now and she has told me my period tracker is wrong! Apparently I'm 10 weeks not 6 😳 due 4th July 🎉

Had an early scan yesterday at a private clinic and it looks like I've possibly had an early miscarriage.

Based on dates, should have been 8 weeks and 2 days yesterday but scan found no heartbeat and put me at 5 weeks 6 days.

Last period was 12 Oct. Was using fertility monitor and got LH surge on 24/25 Oct. Got faint positive on 3 November, then strong positive on 5 Nov. Dates are 100% accurate.

Have been offered a rescan on 19 December but as I'm so sure about my dates it's unlikely to be a dates discrepancy. Any thoughts or experience? The sonographer did say that based on the dates it's likely that the pregnancy stopped progressing.

Have left a a message with NHS Scotland early pregnancy unit - waiting for them to call me back. The clinic advised me to get in touch.

Anyone know what they're likely to say?

I'm afraid I'm out - had the scan and it's an embryonic pregnancy. There's a sac, placenta forming and everything you need to grow a baby, but no embryo. Now waiting to hear from the midwife to see how we go about clearing everything out.

Updating this, as I just moved my scan by a week. No reason. I just wanted to be 8 weeks when I go - no significance to the number, I guess I just weirdly made my mind up, so when I re-calculated today with conception date instead of LMP, it worked out I might be early in week 7 if I go next Sat as planned, so I pushed it back by a few days.

@Danani I’m the same as you..if I go off my LMP I am 8+2 today but I believe I ovulated about 5 days late so I reckon I’m more like 7+4. I have my scan on Sunday when I will be 8+4 / 7+6. Hopefully it will show me around those dates ☺️
