@rosewater20 I'm feeling my heart beating out of my chest constantly it's driving me mad!

Danani · 07/12/2021 07:40

Good morning ☀️ How are we all?

I’m 6 + 4 today, and the weirdest thing has happened… my boobs have been absolutely KILLING me the past two weeks or so. They’ve been so sore and uncomfortable, even sleeping on my side was a bit of a torture. Then this night…I noticed that I felt much more comfortable and now I can feel that the soreness has almost gone overnight!

Trying hard not to read too much into it and telling myself it’s ok and normal. I guess just looking for some reassurance? Has anyone else experienced this?
From what I found online, I’ve seen a lot of people experience the same exact thing in their week 6, which is good to know! But this was my only “symptom” so now feeling a bit worried. 😕

Firsttimetrier · 07/12/2021 08:20

Morning @Danani I was just thinking of you as I wondered how you were. I can’t believe we’re coming up to 6 weeks, the last 3 weeks feel like a lifetime ago.

I know it’s easier said than done but I wouldn’t worry as symptoms come and go. There’s been a few days where I’ve felt completely normal then the next day everything comes back, plus more.

Do you have your early scan soon?

Danani · 07/12/2021 09:07

Thanks huni @Firsttimetrier!

I do, although define "soon" because it feels like an eternity away....Dec 18!

I'm sure it's all fine, and actually I wrote this and when I went to get up my boobs felt soooo heavy I thought they'd hit the ground LOL. I spoke too soon!!!

How are you getting on?

Misty84 · 07/12/2021 09:17

@Danani I’m 6+3 and it’s my only symptom too so I’m quite reassured by it! But yes @Firsttimetrier is right that symptoms allegedly come and go.

SantiagoSister · 07/12/2021 09:18

Hi @Danani, I had the exact same thing happen to me last time when I was 7 weeks, and everything was fine. It’s such a weird feeling as it worries you when the symptoms go away, but rest assured it is normal 😊 I have zero symptoms this time around, which I also find really strange. I literally wouldn’t know I was pregnant at all, which of course I now worry about!

Danani · 07/12/2021 09:21

Thanks so much for the reassurance lovelies, @SantiagoSister and @Misty84!

Coco9910 · 07/12/2021 09:33

I’m the same, my only symptoms seem to be my boobs being sore. Although I am really struggling with sleeping. I sleep fine until I wake up for a wee and then I really struggle to get back to sleep. I had a fair bit of nausea over the weekend but nothing yesterday. It’s so natural to wonder if everything is okay in there when you feel fine! I have my early scan on Sunday and I’m so nervous for it! Just hoping we see a heartbeat 💕

Danani · 07/12/2021 09:40

Ahh @Coco9910 it will be fine! I have everything crossed and dying for your update after! xx

Rachae · 07/12/2021 09:40

@Danani I'm 7 weeks and have had minimal symptoms! I might have wretched once this morning... not sure if this was legit the start of it or not. Other than that - one day I'm tired and the next I'm not! One night my boobs feel big and sore if I walk down the stairs... the next day not!

I've had 3 successful scans so far (heartbeat seen), so I'm deducing that symptoms don't mean much. Crossing my fingers for my latest scan tonight. xx

Aims1991 · 07/12/2021 09:47

So this morning I have extreme anxiety and I have a pain in my right shoulder! I know that can be ectopic and I'm so nervous about it

Firsttimetrier · 07/12/2021 10:08

@Danani I’m alright, getting waves of sickness if I feel hungry, so constantly snacking on Ritz biscuits. Worried I’ll end up the size of a whale at this rate!
Our scan feels a million years away too! It’s on the 21st, which is only two weeks but feels about two years away.

I do think I’m in this weird mindset with time as we have a wedding on the 18th and I’m panicking as it’s so close and I’ve not got a dress yet, but the 21st feels forever away.

Sorry to hear @Aims1991 can you call the EPU and see if you can get a scan to check if the pregnancy is in the right place etc?

irishfarmer · 07/12/2021 10:14

My boobs are def heavier and the tiredness is unreal.

I think I'll go for a scan this Friday I'll be 6+5wks. DH thinks I should wait until the 17th. It's just really worrying me that they saw a yolk sac in one but the other gestational sac was empty at my 5+5wk scan. I think my dates might be a bit wrong though as they saw nothing at all at my 4 week scan when they should have seen the gestational sacs. DH is really excited that it's twins but I don't want to get crazy excited until I have a bit more certainty. He has been looking up buggys/ car seats everything but I'm worried he is jumping the gun.
It may put me out of some of my misery!! I just want to know or have a better idea. Both times I mc'd in the last year he wasn't allowed in the hospital so the uncertain scans are something new for him

Aims1991 · 07/12/2021 10:15

@Firsttimetrier it's not sore and im not bleeding or anything. Just came on about an hour ago and I panicked

Rachae · 07/12/2021 10:18

@Aims1991 hope you're ok... how far along are you? It could be a pulled muscle or strain. x

@Firsttimetrier lol on the ritz crackers! My go to is mini cheddars at the mo.

@irishfarmer I can't recommend frequent scans enough... why wait? I think it's good though that you didn't see anything, and then saw something. I was also wondering if twins might take a little longer to develop, since they're sharing a uterus? x

Aims1991 · 07/12/2021 10:26

@Rachae 4 weeks 6 days. No other issue just the tip of shoulder became sore in the last hour. Was totally fine this morning 🙈

Juno231 · 07/12/2021 10:31

@rosewater20 @Curlywurly3 it's normal and is actually one of the first signs for many that they're pregnant! There's a whole thread under the conception board where ladies track rhr against their BFPs.

I've attached mine - red dot shows ovulation and then my resting heart rate has been going up up up

Due July/August 2022
irishfarmer · 07/12/2021 10:39

@Rachae I think I will. I live about 50 min drive from the EPU, and they don't give appointments you just have to arrive around 8am and are usually there til 11am. I don't have a car right now so it means DH needs a half day off work (not a problem getting time he works for himself but he's super busy right now!). So I feel a bit bad putting him out. There is nowhere closer and zero public transport. He did say last night though if I want to go he will take me. So I think I'll go!

Rachae · 07/12/2021 10:59

@Aims1991 Well always better to be safe than sorry... but... I feared ectopic early on too and my GP said it was too early for symptoms of it - said they don't usually emerge until 6 weeks. Might be worth getting a HCG test and repeat 48 hours later? That's what they did with me.

@irishfarmer Brilliant that the EPU will scan you again! Mine are seriously horrid so I've just stopped talking to them. Unless you go private - at least you could book a specific slot?

ohmybaby · 07/12/2021 11:20

Just joining! Due end of July/early August. Currently 6+2, feeling SO SICK. This is my second pregnancy and hopefully my second baby, fingers crossed everything progresses nicely! Feel lucky in a way to have the symptom as it's reassuringly similar to what I went through with DD, but it still feels crap! I was incredibly fortunate first time round to only feel really bad weeks 6-9, so I'm keeping everything crossed things ease off soon. How's everyone else holding up?

Aims1991 · 07/12/2021 11:21

@Rachae I called midwife last week and can't even get a phone consultation until next week. Slim chances of them helping out 🙄

FieldView · 07/12/2021 11:33

I'm with you ladies on the nausea! I'm currently 7+3 and and feeling a little more nauseous each day. It's pretty horrible first thing in the morning, and then crops up if I get hungry throughout the day. I'm having to eat every 2hrs to keep it at bay!

Any ideas on what else might work to keep a lid on it (other than constantly grazing)?

Not ideal as I lost a stone and a half this year, and now putting it all back on. Things I've read said most people don't put on weight in the first trimester - I definitely have and it worries me a bit about how much bigger I'm going to get!!

Coco9910 · 07/12/2021 12:01

What’s everyone’s thoughts on taking paracetamol? I’ve had a dull headache the past couple of days, mixed with being exhausted. I’m trying not to take anything so does anyone have any suggestions other than plenty of water?

HA22 · 07/12/2021 12:33

is anyone aware of anything that can be taken to reduce nausea?

Firsttimetrier · 07/12/2021 12:43

@FieldView I feel the same, I feel so bloated and swollen and just generally gross. I was just getting back into gymming and eating better and now all I want to do is lie in bed eating ritz biscuits.
