Also after getting in the FB group! I struggle with mumsnet format! I tried the link a few pages back & no dice!

@irishfarmer over the moon for you! 2 babies, what a gift! Hope your coping well with the rollercoaster :) I have heard the NCT twins courses are brilliant!

Symptoms are super minimal here too, not even sore boobs, but then again I only stopped breastfeeding 3 months ago, so maybe all the pipes are already geared up! Haha!!
Little bit of nausea, waiting for the little gem to kick in!

Rachae · 03/12/2021 11:00

Thank you @Danani @Coco9910 :-) !

@strawberrysummer19 yay thanks! What time's yours? xxx

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 11:14

@Rachae it's at 1230 today x

Luckyfamilymum · 03/12/2021 11:36

@Rachae @strawberrysummer19
Good luck both! Thinking of you all today!

Firsttimetrier · 03/12/2021 11:39

Good luck to those with scans today!

Reassuring to hear a few of you aren’t having a lot of symptoms too.

@Danani you are right about not moving the scan forward. We purposely booked it for 7, nearly 8 weeks so we would more than likely see a heartbeat etc.

Got my letters through this morning for both my booking appointment and 12 week scan eeeek! Makes it feel more real!

rose7120 · 03/12/2021 11:42

Just adding me! Hope the formatting okay. Also being a little quiet because of the anxiety, just like @Firsttimetrier and it sounds like everyone else too! My hospital didn't want me to refer until I'd reached 6 weeks and I'm that today, so that's something to do!

Morning ladies!
@Irishfarmer - massive congrats on two babies. Hoping it all goes well for both.

@Firsttimetrier and others - just thought I’d add my experience of symptoms - I had lots of cramping and tender breasts from around 4-5 weeks, then everything dropped off during week 5 aside from one morning of cramping. I’m now 6+2 and the last couple of days I have started with a little nausea and tingling nipples, neither of which are strong (thank goodness). I’ve not really suffered with tiredness yet. But I read symptoms often don’t start until week 6 and are strongest weeks 8-12 so I’m not concerned, I think it’s normal to not have many symptoms early on.

irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 11:53

@Rachae what measurement was that? They only gave measurements of the gestational sac, which
@strawberrysummer19 what's a double transfer?

DH was allowed in which was great. He actually copped it before I did, she kept flicking from one to the other and I was thinking is that two or shadows. He said he it's the same as the scans he sees with the cattle Hmm so he knew. Both were fairly shocked for the drive home though. I'll be back again in two week.

Rachae · 03/12/2021 12:02

@irishfarmer it was the crown rump length or CRL xx

irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 12:14

@Rachae oh right, she didn't give me that, just that the sacs are 13.7mm, according to Dr Google it should be 14mm at 6 week, so not far off, my dates could be off too. The Dr said everything looks good and the sonographer said that they are so small at this stage it's hard to be exact. She said I could come back in a week if I want but it'd be better to leave it at least 10 days/ 2 weeks, at 8 weeks they can be more definitive about things.

Rachae · 03/12/2021 12:22

That's fantastic to hear @irishfarmer :-) And soooo exciting that it's twins xxx

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 12:25

@irishfarmer so sorry I'm on a ivf thread and thought it was that! Sorry x

Mercified · 03/12/2021 12:49

@Rachae

Hey Everyone, Just been for my scan at 6+ 3 and all still ok, hurrah! Heartbeat looks strong and it's now measuring 5.8mm. So they've put me at 6+2 which I think is ok for tolerance level. 🤞 (I'm certain of my dates and ovulation)

Just wanted to say for those who are worried about tests/ symptoms and haven't been scanned yet:

  1. DON'T bother with the CB weeks tests. I freaked out as mine never progressed from 2-3... When I had my bloods taken at that point my HCG was 8000! (Test threshold for 3+ is only 2700)
  1. Ive now had 3 successful scans that show progression and I have ZERO pregnancy symptoms! Don't worry.

Xxx

@Rachae Really good to hear your pregnancy is progressing and your baby is growing fine. I panicked a lot at times because my symptoms keep coming and going,but your report has really lifted my spirit. I will be going for my first scan on Tuesday at same 6+3. I'm very hopeful . Thanks for sharing.
Mercified · 03/12/2021 12:55

@Irishfarmer

In a bit of shock. Just had my scan, there are two in there!! They can see a faint heartbeat in 1 sac not the other but said it's still very early and they'll have me back soon. Waiting to see the doctor now for blood results etc
@irishfarmer wow!!! Great news. Congratulations 🎉🎉

Thank you so much for posting this. I am currently going out my mind. I am (or think I am 5+5) but my Clearblue digital is still showing 2-3 wks since conception. Your post has put my mind at ease.

@Firsttimetrier and @boymummy89 I am feeling exactly how you both are. I now have an earlier scan on the 14th due to spotting. It feels like a lifetime away but I just don't feel pregnant at all now.

@Irishfarmer so excited for you!! Yeek twins! How have you symptoms been?

ChattyMum86 · 03/12/2021 13:03

Hi folks,

I've updated the scan calendar as mine has been brought forward to the 14th due to pink spotting.

Rachae · 03/12/2021 13:06

@Mercified thank you and so pleased it helped 😊 Oo Tuesday isn't too far away!! X

@ChattyMum86 thank you 😘 oh yea I spent a fortune too and I wished I'd just spent the money on blood tests In the end! If I'd have known my HCG way way above what it needed to be when I was getting the 2-3, I'd have been so much less anxious!
I saw that you mentioned spotting... I had this too! I asked the doc to check my cervix around 5 weeks mark and it reassured me loads. I also had a bleed this Tuesday and a small haematoma was found on the scan. It's now gone on the scan today and the doctor said it was super common. Don't panic! Xx

ChattyMum86 · 03/12/2021 13:28

@Rachae thanks again so much! Can I ask, if you don't mind, at what stage were you still getting 2-3?

Xx

Firsttimetrier · 03/12/2021 13:54

That’s really interesting to hear @Rachae I’ve been purposely putting off testing with a Clearblue in case I didn’t see the 3+ weeks. I’m just going to hold off now and keep saying positive affirmations 🤞🏽

I do say I’ve not got any symptoms but I’m so, so exhausted today that I’ve worked from my bed all of today as I’ve got no energy. I feel like I could sleep for a week straight. Just glad my work has a no-meeting rule on Fridays as I don’t have any energy to drag myself into our spare room for a video call!

irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 14:16

@strawberrysummer19 ah, that makes sense now!

@ChattyMum86 my main symptom is being really tired.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 14:53

Hi all

Update from my scan 6+3

All was good! I've hardly any symptoms and don't feel pregnant along with 3+ dropping to 2-3 weeks like @Rachae has said perfectly
Stay clear of keep testing!

I see the flickering heartbeat and she said all was well. I'm measuring 6+3 but mustn't worry and from what she said and what I've read on here then I won't add that to my list.

Incase it's helpful for anyone to know my measurements which the nurse said were perfect and more importantly I think ' within range ' as everyone is different

For me my GS was seen straight away with ' baby hiding' and said sometimes it's too early but then found baby. I asked if there was a feral pole and she said what's more important is a yolc sac, to then she found both so just incase that's help any questions for anyone having early scans coming up

GS 15mm
CRL 0.52mm
YS 3.9mm

Any questions happy to ask

Also happy to provide a pic not that you can see much but I don't want to trigger anyone

Xxx

irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 14:59

@strawberrysummer19 glad it all went well :) It's been a good day.

irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 15:16

@strawberrysummer19 being a bit nosey, what were your HCG levels? The doctor just called me, he said it's still normal for both single/ twin pregnancy mine is 51,538.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 15:18

@irishfarmer I don't have repeat bloods now
I had one when I first found out and it was 2200 but I have no idea now.
I actually asked if I could have a repeat beta last Sunday but she said come in for a scan instead so they won't do anymore unless there's any problems x

Aims1991 · 03/12/2021 15:26

Afternoon all, thanks for advising me to contact gp, got passed to midwife who isn't available for pone consultation until 14th then another app for blood after that. Is that timescale ok? I thought it would of been sooner
