@Aims1991 I contacted my gp straight away and had an appointment with the nurse this week to book me in for the midwife and now just need to wait to be contacted.

I think some people wait a little longer but I just wanted to get the ball rolling!

20viona · 03/12/2021 08:54

@Aims1991 depends where you live. We don't go through our GP anymore it's changed since I was pregnant 3 years ago. You self refer to the midwifery service via a website. Dead easy and just wait for your booking apt.

Hi all,

Been a bit quiet on here as I’ve been struggling a bit. I genuinely don’t feel pregnant, although I’m not sure what I expect at 5+2. I’ve not had any cramping, the insomnia has gone, so I keep freaking out something bad has happened. I’ve not had any bleeding or spotting etc and my boobs have remained painful.

Sorry for being a Debbie downer but the first trimester is a minefield of emotions.

I'm feeling exactly the same as you 😕I'm convinced something will be wrong... Anxiety is ridiculous this time around x
Rachae · 03/12/2021 09:25

Hey Everyone,
Just been for my scan at 6+ 3 and all still ok, hurrah! Heartbeat looks strong and it's now measuring 5.8mm. So they've put me at 6+2 which I think is ok for tolerance level. 🤞
(I'm certain of my dates and ovulation)

Just wanted to say for those who are worried about tests/ symptoms and haven't been scanned yet:

  1. DON'T bother with the CB weeks tests. I freaked out as mine never progressed from 2-3... When I had my bloods taken at that point my HCG was 8000! (Test threshold for 3+ is only 2700)
  1. Ive now had 3 successful scans that show progression and I have ZERO pregnancy symptoms! Don't worry.

Xxx

Firsttimetrier · 03/12/2021 09:30

@boymummy89 I never considered anxiety to be a symptom but it really is! I’ve got an early scan at 7+6 on the 21st Dec and wondering if bringing it forward would help ease my anxiety. I think knowing that there’s something in there with a heartbeat will massively help.

Misty84 · 03/12/2021 09:32

@Firsttimetrier I’m 5+6 and my only symptom has been sore boobs. Think it’s normal! I know some people who’ve had no symptoms whatsoever. It’ll be good when we have our early scans to feel a bit of reassurance.

Irishfarmer · 03/12/2021 09:48

In a bit of shock. Just had my scan, there are two in there!! They can see a faint heartbeat in 1 sac not the other but said it's still very early and they'll have me back soon. Waiting to see the doctor now for blood results etc

Juno231 · 03/12/2021 09:57

@Curlywurly3 oh excellent, that's a brilliant line!

I'll add myself to the list in a moment but wanted to double check what the dates are for?

Got my 1-2 weeks on a digi this morning and told OH about the good news so it's starting to feel a bit more real ♥️

Due July/August 2022

@Rachae Hi, @chloeandco created the fb page so she'll have the link. not quite sure as not in it

Rachae · 03/12/2021 10:33

@HA22 thanks! xx

Coco9910 · 03/12/2021 10:34

@irishfarmer oh wow twins that is amazing!! Congratulations!! I hope they both continue to do well! So exciting!

@Rachae so glad your scan went well and you’re feeling better about it!

@Firsttimetrier I know what you mean! I haven’t had many symptoms..sore boobs definitely!! I feel a bit queasy sometimes but that’s it. I’ve had some cramps, they have mostly stopped now but that’s it. I’m hoping for good news at my early scan and then I can relax a little bit! 🙈 oh and anxiety definitely!! My anxiety is through the roof but I’m trying to stay calm and relaxed.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 10:37

@Rachae congrats I literally love your update! I'm feeling nausea this morning but I'm sure it's because I'm so worried on today's scan!!

@Irishfarmer omg!! Congrats how lovely
Just wondering - did you double transfer ? Really silly question!! Xx

Danani · 03/12/2021 10:45

OMG!!!! @irishfarmer yayyyy! How amazing is that!!! So chuffed for you, hope it all continues to go well and you get further reassurance and updates in your next scan!!

@strawberrysummer19 good luck with your scan today, huni!

@Rachae oh fantastic news, and only off by a day!! That's so impressive! Very pleased for you darling!

@Firsttimetrier, I am in the same boat with the lack of symptoms, but I think it's totally normal. It's still early, and also not everyone has to feel like shit when they're pregnant. It's not the rule, I know plenty of women who have felt absolutely fine, no nausea, no insomnia, no nothing, until like 30+ weeks when things get real uncomfortable real fast. I vote for you to stick to your original appointment, do not bring it forward. If you go in too early and for some reason, they can't see the heartbeat, you will FREAK out. You'll have to wait a week or two for a re-scan, and that just sounds like a terrible way to spend the holidays. Try to relax. All is well in there, just let your body do its job :).

Aims1991 · 03/12/2021 10:53

@20viona @Bd1787 Thank you. Think I will give them a call.
