Beautyangel1 · 30/11/2021 12:31

@Coco9910 thanks, I will try not to worry! X

Misty84 · 30/11/2021 13:25

Thanks @irishfarmer. It’s impossible to get my GP to do bloods🙄 But you’re right, I should be ok! Just overthinking things 🙃

HA22 · 30/11/2021 14:08

hi all, when should i expect to get bloods done to check for sickle cell etc. will they also tell me my blood type then and can they also check for other stuff eg iron levels?

Mercified · 30/11/2021 19:07

Thanks @irishfarmer , it's really a wonderful present. I will try to ignore all my worries, though it isn't easy...sighs. I also heard that cranberries are good for UTI, thanks for sharing,I will read about it. Your reply was indeed helpful

Mercified · 30/11/2021 19:11

@Coco9910 ThanksSmile

ChattyMum86 · 30/11/2021 19:37

Hi folks, needing some reassurance- has anyone had pink spotting at 5 weeks and everything is still ok? 😞

Mercified · 30/11/2021 19:49
@Mercified I’ve been very unwell with a UTI all week, finally got antibiotics yesterday and already feeling much better- they are miracle drugs!! Both the midwife and GP assured me they are safe. I hope the little one was well protected 🙏

@Coco9910 I’m taking Vit D, Omega 3 and my prenatal.

@Geriatrixia I’ve also convinced myself I have double the miscarriage rate due to my partner’s very high sperm fragmentation and that’s what Dr Google says!🤦‍♀️

@strawberrysummer19 That’s so worrying, I hope your scan gives you some reassurance on Friday 🙏 I’m definitely not testing again after reading your story!

Interesting to hear people’s thoughts on the flu jab and Covid booster. Think I’ll book the flu jab (as the midwife told me to) but wait some more weeks before the booster. It’s hard to know what to do!

Is anyone taking progesterone suppositories to support their pregnancy? Saw the news this morning and that it can help prevent miscarriages if progesterone levels are low. But I have no idea what my progesterone levels are 🤷‍♀️ (I already have boxes from my failed ivf round- never got to use them).

As a first timer I’m finding this all quite stressful and each day feels like a week, how am I still only in my 5th week?! It’s crawling past, the safe zone is forever away!
@misty84 sorry about that. I'm glad you feel better now. I also felt better after the second dose. I stopped having cramps and back aches, though I panicked at first because,I thought those were my pregnancy symptoms but my Gyn assured I'm fine. Amen. Our babies will be fine

Mercified · 30/11/2021 20:03

@Misty84 Yes, it helps. My sister was given progesterone at 7 weeks, when she was bleeding. She was okay after she took it and now she is a mother of a month old baby girl. My GYN said he will place me on progesterone immediately after my first scan scheduled for next week. It's really the longest journey ever, feels like the days are moving too slow. It is well

Hi everyone, I got a positive test today Smile and the NHS calculator says I'm due 22 July.

I know I ovulated late however, so I don't think this is accurate. Do you know if NHS will still calculate based on the first day of my last period even though I didn't ovulate until approx 3 weeks after that (really long cycles)?

Thanks in advance my heads all over the place!!

MrsS11 · 30/11/2021 21:56

chattymum hope you're ok. I had pink spotting around when my period was due with my DD and it stopped after a day. If you get anything more like bleeding probably best to contact GP/midwife?

When I was pregnant last time, they calculated by due date from measuring buns at the 12 week scan - it definitely didn’t match my dates in terms of my last period or when we knew she’d been conceived, but there was no budging them.
Geriatrixia · 30/11/2021 22:09

Bubs! Damn you autocorrect, they didn’t measure anyone’s buns Blush

StartLeo · 01/12/2021 04:52

Taking elevit pregnancy multis, already have sore boobs and nausea.

ChattyMum86 · 01/12/2021 05:16

@MrsS11 thank you for responding - I'm up at the crack of dawn this morning checking and there's nothing so far today. Praying it's a good sign 🙏🏼

Misty84 · 01/12/2021 05:41

Hi @StartLeo yes I’ve had a midwife appointment, it lasted 1.5hrs, she went through medical history and talked about future appointments. Took bloods and a urine sample. Turns out I had a UTI so currently on antibiotics 🙄

Hope things will be ok for you and no more scares @ChattyMum86 🤞

peppercorn15 · 01/12/2021 06:03

StartLeo · 01/12/2021 06:37

@misty84
I had a quick telehealth consultation with my gyno and I have three sets of bloods that I need to get done over the next week. The first, tomorrow, the second on the 4th and the 3rd on the 6th. Then I have an early ultrasound in my 7th week.

@chattymum86, fingers crossed for you! I had some spotting a few days ago and today (period was due today) but I am not too worried since the fr tests are getting stronger.
