New thread before we run out!

@Zonedoutallnight mines was like this for the first 3wks, perseverance at night in & out of the next to me she eventually realised she's not be abandoned lol I did let her fall asleep on the bed & move her into next to me when totally asleep or if I fell asleep too the sleep beside me lol.
Now she sleeps at night in next to me but during the day it's only on me or beside me on the bed. So we're working on day time nap sleep locations!!
Assuming you tried the usual.. swaddle, white noise etc.
Hopefully she settles soon for you, hang in there !

@Alle1991 at least I'm not alone! She's not my first but I have a huge age gap so I feel like I've forgotten how I got through this bit.

@LilmissCa the midwife told me not to swaddle as they don't recommend it any more, but I've been warming the blanket/mattress up before putting her down, using next2me crib, have tried quiet music, white noise and womb sounds playing on Alexa, putting her down slightly awake, putting her down fast asleep, keeping my hand on her tummy and rocking her once shes down. Literally everything I can think of. Last night she actually did stay asleep a couple of times but I couldn't tell you what I did differently because I have no idea!

I'm hoping that we are just approaching the end of the haze and that she will start settling more regularly soon because there is no pattern of any description that I can see.

I found around 3 weeks ish was the turning point for us. Mine would only sleep if held etc. Still wakes very regularly in the night but can usually be put down from 11 or 12ish so at least I can sleep in between the many wakes. He will sleep earlier than that if held so DH does that bit so I can get a bit of sleep which is a god send and he can still get a good run of sleep before work. He also deals with DS1 who is now a bit unsettled at night now DS2 has arrived just to add to the carnage!

I honestly don't think anything we did changed things. Just kept putting him down and one night he stayed. He's in a sleeping bag and is breastfed.

@Zonedoutallnight hopefully a turning point for her!! How'd last night go?
Interesting bout the swaddle advice, I use a wee sleeping bag which tucks arms in as a swaddle.. easier altho she's almost outgrown it now!

Just checking in. How is everyone doing? Can't believe little man will be 7 weeks old tomorrow!

Hi @bobblewobble1 it's going so quickly isn't it! Max is 7 weeks and 4 days, he is giving us huge smiles now which is so cute! How are you getting on? We've got his jabs booked for next week which I'm dreading!

@DoctorBambino time really does just fly! Glad to hear that things are well. Good luck with jabs. We have ours next week. I just keep telling myself it's for the greater good!

He had them this morning bless him. It wasn't nice but it wasn't too awful, he is all dosed up on calpol and has been asleep on my chest for most of the day 🤍

Glad all went well. We have ours this week so I'm sure there will be lots of cuddles here too.

How is everyone getting on with your little ones? Can't believe we have 4 month olds!

All good here. Little man is nearly 5 months. Crazy how fast time is flying! Definitely faster second time! How are you doing?

4 month sleep regression has hit with a bang. 3 weeks in and it’s just got worse and worse 😩😭

@sociallydistained I hear ya! We are back to waking up every 2-3 hours instead of 6! I want my sleeping baby back!

I hope it gets better for you both soon. Sleep is still a bit unpredictable over here. I do think teeth are on the way though!

Hey, hope you’re all doing ok. I think we are hopefully coming to the end of the 4 month sleep regression. It’s been hard work! I think she slept more as a newborn on a night than we have in the past 2 weeks. But she’s learnt to roll, giggle and blowing lots of bubbles/raspberries which is so lovely, think we might have some teeth coming as well x

Is anyone else ttc for or pg with another? Our DD is nearly 16 months and we have started ttc for #2 this month! Excited to give DD a sibling, but a little terrified of being pg with a toddler!

@winterbabyrose good luck with ttc! I think we're going to wait another year. I would try now but my little man insists on co-sleeping, and being breastfed to sleep (including for night wakes!). No way I can do that with 2!

@winterbabyrose I'm currently 14 weeks with another IVF baby. Our daughter is 15 months now so will be 22 months when the new baby is here. We tried a cycle in Nov last year but we had a CP.

We're not planning another. January 22 baby is our second. We have just over a 3 year gap. I didn't find it difficult being pregnant with a 2 year old but I was lucky to have well pregnancies. I know others that struggled but I guess you just get through it somehow.

@winterbabyrose I am currently almost 9 weeks pregnant with number 2, after 5 months of trying. Being an older mum, we didn't want to leave it too long. Wishing you all the best TTC your number 2! XxX
