6 weeks pregnant yolk sac but no fetal pole

Hi,

Looking for a miracle

History:
No children, 3 misscarraiges
1- threated abortion after seeing heartbeat
2- missed misscarraige, sac kept growing but nothing in it
3- early chemical loss

Did a clear blue monday night - 2-3 weeks
Private scan yesterday dates me at 5+1… last period was 15th September (30 day cycle)
No bleeding, not really having an symptons
Ovulated out my left side, previous have been the right side
Gest sac is 5.9mm

Worrying this will be another misscarraige
Got told to do a test in a couple of weeks before going for another scan, give the baby chance to grow… but something feels off

Didn't want to leave this unanswered as I'm currently going through something similar and it's awful.
If you're only 5+1 then that is really early to see anything, I think fetal pole becomes visible from about 6 weeks. You may be out on your dates and ovulated later than you think. Have you got another scan booked in?

I'm going through the same went yesterday for scan thinking I was 7+2 they had me measuring 6+2 nothing in the sack I've to go back in 2 weeks but feel like all my symptoms have gone 😒

By my dates i should have been between 6weeks/6 weeks 2 days. Im hoping the equipment just couldnt pick anything up as too small but i dont have much hope. No the epau told me to get in contact if i have any problems. The private scan said to get rescanned in a couple of weeks. I might pay again and get 1 next weekend.

I did feel slightly nauseous a couple of times last week but i cant help but compare this to my first loss, i new i was pregnant about 6 days before my period was due as my boobs were massive and tender.

Never felt so alone or down

I've been in a daze this weekend. I went the epu last week due to one sided pains, thought I was 6 weeks but they put me at 5+5 and saw both sacs but no fetal pole, they said it's just too early so I didn't worry too much, but went my ivf scan on Thursday I measured 6+5 which added up with epu dates but still no fetal pole and the nurse was adamant it should be visible by now. So I've been referred to the hospital for another scan on Monday, I don't have much hope. My hcg levels came back higher than they would expect to see aswell so a fetal pole should definitely be there by now. It's horrible isn't it, I feel for both of you being in this limbo.

Ive shut myself in the bedroom, i feel like i cant look at people, i feel like people don’t understand, which i guess isnt their fault

Jen - i had the same last year, i could hav sworn the pregnancy was progressing to find the sac being over 20mm and empty. Im so sorry you are goin through this

Whataglorious - im so sorry, im quite an in control person and the one thing i cant control that i want i cant have. How high were ur hcg levels?

@Unlucky123 38,928 but they're not going to check if they've doubled as apparently that along with another scan Monday will confirm if it's viable or not. I've lost hope. Read so many of these miracle stories on google and you can't help but have that little bit of hope in the back of your mind, but I need to prepare for the worst.
I hope you've just got your dates abit muddled, it is still early for you so don't lose hope just yet 💕

Im the same.. turn into the google queen for a glimmer of hope. Although i know its bad news. Let me know how u get on on monday. And thanku, the only possibly explanation would be that i ovulated quite a few days late. The waiting and not knowing is heartbreaking, i thought i would feel abit better after the scan yesterday just knowing the pregnancy is in the right place but i feel isolated in my own mind, numb.

My sac measured 13.3mm yesterday I don't know what to think I don't even feel pregnant anymore it's the whole waiting 2 weeks is a long time it's just so hard to deal with and think positive

Have any of yous took another test?

@JenniferR2021 I haven't as my blood hcg was really high so it'll only come back postive regardless of what's happening.

I had this at a scan at 5.5 weeks, except it was just an empty sac. It was simply too early in my case. When I went back 10 days later there was a heartbeat.

I done one today still strong positive don't want to get my hopes up tho

I went for a scan at 6 weeks yet I was dated at 4. I went back every week until I was 7+3 when they finally saw a heartbeat. That little bean is currently 6 months old & asleep on me.
I was sure of my dates & that something was wrong. Don't give up hope ladies until they tell you there is no hope. ❤

And was your dates correct or the hospital

I went for an early scan because of bleeding. The scan showed an empty sac with no heartbeat and dated me around 4 weeks instead of 6 (I was 100% sure of my dates). They were the longest two weeks waiting but at my next scan thankfully there was a heartbeat.

I continued to bleed until around 12 weeks. It was such a stressful time not knowing how things would turn out. Just try and stay positive. DS is about to turn 7 this week!

Ive done another test today. 3+
Monday it was 2-3. So i guess thats a good sign.
Hoping i dont hav another blighted ovum.
Ive booked a private scan for next sunday 🤞
I just dont feel pregnant but ive obviously got hormones in my body

I had no fetal pole at 6 weeks. They dated my scan as being the week before (5 plus something). I knew it wasn’t, I’d tracked ovulation.

I’m 33 weeks pregnant now, baby’s EDD is still a week out and so they’re measuring a week bigger, but they’re doing fine. It can work out okay!

I feel for you, I googled extensively and cried a lot waiting for that next scan… I really hope things go okay for you

Thanku for sharing.. roll on next sunday morning lol. Because of 3 loss’s i expect the same again. Its so hard. I will be updating on Sunday.

I've to go back in 2 weeks but phoned hospital I've to get another scan on Tuesday all I've done is cry 😭

Are you in pain or bleeding? Ive been through some things in my life but the wait is horrendous

No not a thing just empty sac at 7 weeks on fri29th I just don't feel pregnant like my symptoms have all gone

Got my next scan tomorrow and seriously scared. Has been the longest 10 days of my life xx

They do say symptoms come and go, im holding on to that

Time flys until your faced with this. Im goin to work numerous hours nxt week to tske my mind of it all
